Its hilarious how many of you resort to pathetic childish insults.

Not even a post up...

jealousy bring out the lowest of the low class.

So tell me, who's the one going down to the level of pathetic, childish insults? Over a goddamn car that they haven't even driven, nevertheless an actual automotive journo? All because it doesn't fit the notions that you've set for the nameplate that haven't been true in nearly two decades? Said notions being fluid and ever changing based on the generation?

all you've done since coming into this thread is antagonize people, try to show yourself off as some dude who knows more then anyone else. You've been promptly smacked down by luxury auto salesmen, *actual* automotive journos, and people who know a hell of a lot more then you. All because you wanted to defend the honor of a car that you bought second hand, and seem to think is the definitive answer to what a Supra is. Forgetting the five or so generations that came before it.

So who's the childish one here? Is it the guy who decided to make a burner account so that he could hopefully continue the circlejerk that have been present in A80 forums since the A90 had been announced in full as a collaborative project between BMW and Toyota? You've been told countless times why Toyota has done what it has done. You, meanwhile, have been rambling and insisting that the A80 could beat all challengers within the cars of it's time frame (it doesn't) and that the A90 is this 90 pound weakling of a car performance wise compared to the competition (It isn't, even when you move the goal posts to try and add high level trims and models to the mix to make the A90 seem worse)

Then again, if you did get your wish and Toyota made another car that was like the Mk.IV, you'd find something else to bitch about it anyway, because what is consistent with you, and other A80 fans is that the goalposts will always be moved.

Oh christ this is happening again

i mean, with my last post, I'm done. It's obvious that this is going to end in our friend getting banned. That, or having the thread locked so we can quit with the hyperbole around this car, at least until the car is out in the wild and isn't being reviewed simply by track day tests.

Cough cough sounds like BS cough cough.... He bought one in the game didnt realize its not real. When guys talk like that and never actually put up anything its usually because they lying. I looked back in his posting and couldn't find any time he's shown anything. He talks crap here, I ask to see something and he leaves :/ so I dont expect to see anything from this guy but a bunch of running his mouth about this and that but never any substance.

Im curious if he has a Supra, & if he thinks his is Fast...

He does, which is nice and all, but his attitude from what I have seen is anything far south from worth redeeming.

My Fam likes to hand out lessons, my Daily is 980kg & XXXwhp engine swapped & custom turbo set up but my Uncles CoPo is the real Family Hot Rod since somebody was talking about Camaros & 1/4 miles

Somebody was saying something about me having F&F dreams..... Again, Sure bout that?

Still skeptical, he's got BS written all over, probably knows somebody with one lololol

The one he's claimed is it built or stock? Twin turbo or single turbo, built bottom end? Top end?

What's it do in the 1/4 mile

I really don't know why are you expecting me to know this, look at the past posts in this thread, all I know is that he has an A80 Supra and has shown proof.

Also, easy, easy there. Let's not transform this into a dinger-donger measuring contest thread...

Is that it?

Nothing special, looks tired, dont look like I need to even run full boost to handle that. Im guessing whoever's car that is its a 14 second 1/4 mile car, that thing looks tired. I might have to give 1 second head start to only beat him by 1 second....

One goal post the mkv will never achieve, is be an actual toyota lol something all other supras actually were.

Antagonize, why because i hold a different opinion from most of you one that does not excuses pathetic decision by billion dollar corporations. Im a consumer first not corporate fanboy.

"collaborative project" where the bmw is 100% bmw while the toyota is 95% a bmw.

If toyota actually made a toyota i'd have very little to bitch about.

Im eager to see the tuning capabilities of this new engine, how long before it makes 1000hp :D and beyond With a Big Ol Stanky Turbo

I'm actually curious about the 2-litre 4 cylinder engine.

BMW B48 (and B46) engine. Widely used across the BMW/Mini lineup. I'm guessing it'll mostly be the same specs as the Z4 20i and 30i's 2-litre 4-cylinder engines.

edit: I believe Morgan's next range of cars will also be powered by the same/similar suite of engines (and possibly the 3 cylinder as well).... so BavarianMorganWeebs Supra! ;)

So its 4 cylinder powering the rear wheels Hmmm a next 4banger layed out like in a Miata or AE86, that is interesting.

Whats its numbers im assuming its on boost too right. Should be good swap engine for others.

We better eventually get the Z4 too, I want em both

I like that guy's take on Toyota's sports cars. But I'd add that BMW also knows how to make a great sports car. So unlike Subaru, the BMW/Toyota collaboration is one where two companies that really know what they're doing can come together and improve each other and make something even better than one the two companies were doing on their own.

Or not... who knows.

They both got help from the best in the business too(Mazda). ;)

They are out there Bro

My friends 2jz 350z

That didn’t answer my question, “bro.”

If there’s a demand for 2JZ swaps, where are they getting them? I’m sure that most Mk. IV Supras aren’t being totaled while still leaving the engine in a good enough condition to be swapped into another car.

You dont always use the good in stock form engines. Often you have to start with a tired engine.

Plus 2jz ARE NOT only in Supras you can get blocks out of Lexus we ain't talking stock, that 2jz 350 is 600hp LOW BOOST

When doing big HP engines build it like my Boi's 2jz or my VR6T

People talk about 2jz getting so much power stock bottom end blah blah bullcrap, it can make about 600hp stock bottom end reliably on 91 pump gas, the guys who go for more and like to drive the car build them.

Stripped down to bare ass block measure how out of round all the cylinders are, punch it out so its at least as big as the cylinder most out of round or to whatever you want so long as its at least bigger than cylinder that was most out of round.

Clean it up, paint it. Start the build with parts to your design with whatever your goal may be.

These are 20-30 year old engines, pretty much they all need a rebuild even if relatively low mileage.

A bunch of cars come with 2jz

Aftermarket company is already offering a 2JZ swap for A90 Supra

To an extent, it makes some sense (for something like say, racing applications) given that the 2JZ has 20 years of aftermarket behind it. We have a pretty decent idea of what it does by now. With that said, it’s still an antiquated platform and anyone telling Toyota to “take notes” is making a fool out of themselves.
