I assume the clio he was talking about is the race car.

Comparing this to a clio isn't related.

The Clio V6 is a road going car. As I earlier said there were even two generations. Please, check your sources.

We don't compare this to a Clio V6 but we are imagening a Yaris more like a Clio V6. You can compare a Yaris to a Clio, they are both small hachbacks. So wouldn't it be nice to make a RWD Toyota Yaris too?

What "sources"? There is a clio v6 race car. No sources needed for that. The fact theres a production version is even further away from an unneeded comparison. This is a concept. This is a hybrid.

This isn't in production. The regular Yaris is FF and this Yaris is a showcase of the hybrid tech of the lmp1's capacitor. It uses their global race engine so I dont see any chance of production. Just a nice project to show what can be done with the capacitor. No reason to make it rwd.

No **** sherlock. Of course there is a race version but there is even a suzuki swift sport race edition. We are talking about the road going version. Come on just admit you made a mistake in stead of posting 3 times the same posts. It has been in production, in the UK for about 28000 pounds.

Second part.
No **** sherlock (again). WE NEVER SAID IT IS IN PRODUCTION. We just said it is a cool car and it would be even cooler to make a fulll RWD car.

You done getting worked up on a forum about a concept car? It is kinda silly

The only mistake I made was assuming the guy who brought up the Clio was talking about the race car. I made that relation because this Yaris has a race engine and the super capacitor is used in racing. Don't freak out because I don't share your line of thought :scared:

So this Yaris has the stuff for the LMP and stuffed into a small hot hatch? So it's similar to the Nismo Juke R? (Juke with a GTR engine and other stuff)

That's what I tried to say in my first, second and third post. ;)
Was it so hard to admit you're wrong? This whole discussion was just unnecessary.

I wouldn't worry about it. He doesn't know what he's talking about, so there was no productive discussion to be had anyway.

Sort of a shame, there could have been something interesting on the marketing advantages of keeping it more standard compared to the performance advantages of a more suitable drivetrain, but there you go.

I don't "know what Im talking about", says the guy comparing a concept car to a road car. At least the relation I made to the Trophy car was the fact they both use racing engines. This Yaris even has a racing hybrid system. The Clio V6 is an entirely different car. How about we leave it there? At least, I look forward to seeing this in GT6.

I say blah blah blah because you can't read and this discussion starts to get quite anoying. ;)
Please as I said: Read the whole thread again before you say something.

To quote you, "blah blah blah". :sly:

Sorry, I don't follow your line of thought. :indiff: Comparing a concept car to a production car, even if both are "hot hatches" is pointless imo. Toyota has no plans to produce this. Just a cool showcase of how the hybrid supercapacitor can be applied in road vehicles. The interesting things are the gps feature and the GT6 inclusion, and possible future Toyota sportscars using a capacitor.

I'm not interested in any other discussion. You win your little argument. Happy? :)

Not exactly. Mostly concept cars are meant to preview design elements of future production cars or technology. Like the gps feature.

Future production cars that are road cars, which is Eran's point...
