@Drex124 I'm really sorry!

Its was you I hit on lap two.
Just watched the reply.

I'm a muppet!
Of all people you take out your teammate. :P Just barely missed me, had no idea it was coming.

First race I knew the fight was going to be for the last step on the podium so gave it everything I had to make that happen. And then the 2nd race was CRAZY. Lots of battling up front for the first dozen laps or so. A few love taps here or there but good hard racing. About had a heart attack for the above mentioned incident. Finally made my way to the front and just tried to get as much space as possible. But as soon as I saw Evo coming back through the field after his incident with @Pigems I knew there was no way I was going to fend him off. So Just casually let him go by when he caught up and tried to get into a rhythm with my understeering pig.

Double podium, no complaints. (until the next round with more ballast and more understeer :lol: )

Edit: Here's video

The Lexus was trying to catch fire towards the end.

Well that was a chaotic pair of races. Qualified really well for race 1 and @Pigems managed to get past me pretty quickly. I spent the rest of the race fight with @Granadier and @DelboyD. I probably could have held them of if not for a couple of small mistakes that allowed them to squeeze by. Also apologies to @Granadier for the contact on lap 10, totally my fault.

Now for race 2, I had a good first couple of laps and made up a few positions relatively quickly. There was an enormous train behind @GOTMAXPOWER of about 10 cars and managed to capitalise on others mistakes to get up behind him. Lap 9 and max had a seemingly poor run into the last corner and was seemingly rubbish under braking when I got what felt like a lunge to get past. He didn't give up though and annoying made his past on the two long straights. I pitted on lap 12 with a few other cars and made the decision to take new tyres which due to GMP holding everyone up ultimately didn't cost me any time. Lap 17 and what felt like a bit of forceful move got me a couple of spots although from checking the replay I didn't brake any later than normal and looked like @Granadier was earlier on the brakes than me and didn't realise where I was. On exit though I had a little battle with @Kermit_2142 and managed to briefly get past. Lap 25 and a cheeky move on @PaoloMX into the last corner got me past but ultimately looked alright and there wasn't any contact. Lap 31 and I binned it in S2 when the car seemingly didn't want to turn cost me a couple of spots then a lap later hit @Granadier as he was re-joining the track and there wasn't anything I could really do about that one. @Tea_Leaves got past me on lap 33 after a poor run into the last corner. I couldn't see anything wrong in the replay there but sorry if I annoyed you with anything.

Ultimately a slightly disappointing result after a slightly mad a chaotic race. Hopefully Interlagos is a lot less mad.

TPC Race News - GT4 International Round 4 - Autopolis Short

A thick mist drapes itself across the verdant green mountains of Ōita prefecture - a pristine and lush landscape encircling the beautiful and remote Autopolis circuit. As I, Tommy Threewide, TPC Race Reporter, made my way along the rural roads in our rented Toyota Crown, a sense of strange anticipation came over the crew. Perhaps I should have paid it more heed.

I've interviewed the enigmatic, erratic Scandiwegian Honda driver Max Attack at each round, and come to expect a certain level of unpredictability in these sessions. So, naturally, after a lap 1 spin in the sprint race, and an ugly accident leading to a DNF in the feature, the crew and I braced ourselves for a spiky encounter.

Instead we found the Lancia enthusiast in quite the good mood, making the most of the local culture to salvage a bad weekend.

That is to say, we found Max in a Japanese dive bar, elbow deep in a bottle of Sake, blending in with the tired Japanese salarymen with a battered cigarette hanging from his lips.

"Tommy-san!" The Scandiwegian greeted me with a jovial smile, inviting me into the cramped drinking hole. "You know, I thought you might interview someone else this week, like someone who finished the race, maybe."

Weakly I agreed to dig into the rice wine with the infamous rally driver as we broke down the weekend's action from his perspective;

"Woof, you know?," Max began, occasionally pausing for dramatic drags on the cigarette and sidelong glances at Japanese patrons, "this one was tough. We have all new control system in the car, a total remap, so it's like a totally new machine for me. The team seems to hope it brings me closer to my teammate,"

A chuckle followed that comment, as Max dislodged a head of ash from the ribbon-emitting cigarette.

"What's dumb is I thought the Q lap was pretty good. Up to pace with practice, and the layout suiting the car, I thought maybe I can make something happen. That was my fastest lap all weekend, and I think it was... 13th? 14th? It wasn't fast, let's say. These other guys need to slow down."

"Not that it would matter much as I got in the wrong place in traffic in lap 1 and just got put on a terrible line which ended the race there and then"

"But, ok, you know, starting up front in the feature, and it's hard to pass here, so I stay positive," Max scowls over his cigarette, as if lamenting that as a mistake, before his tone grows a little angrier. "These guys all go crazy! Not a lick of patience inside. They are passing me, cool, it's fine, I let the teammate by, all is good - WHAM! This BMW just spears me off. Damn man, if I wasn't pissed then... All this series I am wedged between these BMWs..."

At this point the Scandiwegian's rant had grown louder and grabbed the attention of the denizens of this charming drinking hole. Max waved a calming hand, smiled and poured another sake, offering it around to others and restoring spirits with a resounding KANPAI! He grabbed me affectionately by the shoulder, clearly not too caught up in the past.

"This is the land of Zen my friends, so I try to learn a little bit from them, I wrote this..
"

Max flipped over a beermat and read his "haiku for Autopolis" from the scribbles on the back;

"O Autopolis
I came to race but o! No!
Punted by beemer"

@Tea_Leaves got past me on lap 33 after a poor run into the last corner. I couldn't see anything wrong in the replay there but sorry if I annoyed you with anything.

No worries, I was a little heated/emotional after I was dive-bombed by @GT5Apex (likely an accident and he apologised. I didn't see the replay, I only saw him fly into me out of nowhere :lol:) a few laps before. I was blowing the situation out of proportion so pay it no mind.

A little messy but overall clean, hard racing. I didn't go into this race with high expectations, power car on a handling circuit but I'll take 7th.

No worries, I was driving a bit desperately after binning it right at the end

Sorry about that. I messed up my braking and i was gonna rear end Drex, so i swerved to the side. I went on to the grass with full lock in the hope that i could cut the corner enough to avoid hitting anyone.

The accident was pretty much similar to the Delboy incident posted above.

Great racing last night. Race 2 in particular was really fun thanks to GMP bunching the field up for the first 8-9 laps. We all had a go to get past and then when patience had run I think it was elbows out on everyone for the 2nd half of the race! Managed to avoid most of the carnage it seems. Had a good fight with @Granadier towards the end which he won fair and square but graciously gave back the position on the next lap by spinning off. Given who was racing was very happy to take 5th.

Both races had really tight midfields which has been the definition of this series so far and it’s been fantastic. Hats off to @El_Beardo for all the work on the BoP. Then with the ballast mixed in it’s created some amazing races. Gutted for you that you couldn’t make it.
