I am going through a stage at the moment where I’m loving horse power and grip and I may have to learn to drive again if I go back to comfort soft. I couldn’t stop driving the track maybe it was just because of one of those moods you get into where you just can’t stop going round and round. The track is narrow and a really twisty last sector (something different) which I found fun going through with grip. I was going to say JGTC cars but thought that would just scare everyone off so went for a car that everybody can purchase and do up, so yeah I enjoyed it; now it's up to you guys to say whether it’s good or ****.

The reason I went for extra grip was the track is narrow and for racing you want to be able to responded quickly so that’s the reason for tyre choice and the tyres warm up quickly so the track is demanding on the tyres. The track is shared.

Hi Gents

I would like to share a combo that I thought was super fun that challenged you the car and offered that entertainment factor.
The track is Goat Valley Course and I’ll share it tonight.
The car would be the Clio Renault sport 16V V6 and maxed out but then reduce the bhp to 380 so that would include all weight reduction all engine modification all aero and running on racing soft’s. Racing softs? You say: I tell you that you will need all the entire grip you can get with this combo especially if you would like to do some racing with it.

I’ll share this track for the week so if anybody enjoys running it feel free to run the combo and then post the room number on this thread so we can join you. I will be able to dedicate some good racing time to this combo on Thursday night so could open a room from 19:00 hrs GMT.

The room settings I would run for the evening would be:
Lobby settings
17 laps or more, Qualifying would be important as you would want to be at the front as overtaking would require skill.
Start: Grid with false start check
Tyre wear: On
Fuel depletion: On
Grip off track: Real
Slip stream: Weak
Penalty: Light
Damage: Light
Tuning: Allowed everything maxed out then drop bhp to 380
ASM: Not allowed
Skid recovery: Not allowed
Active Steering: Not allowed
Traction control: Allowed
Driving line: Allowed
ABS: Allowed

Hope you guys can join me on Thursday. And apologies for missing out on the endurance on Saturday I didn’t read properly and thought it was Sunday.

I only have the Premium Renault Sport Clio Renault Sport V6 24V '00.
Is that okay? :guilty: (<-puppy look)

Was hoping to join tonight having finally got 5 mins free from work but I don't appear to have a Clio 16v, hopefully I will be around a bit this weekend if anyone is racing 👍

I can send you a Lutecia sport V2 Phase Andy

If only i read this thread last night. :( But i would like to add you Joylord, in case im free the next time you go online. :D

Sorry I had to leave abruptly last night chaps, was good fun getting back on the track with you guys again  Hopefully I'll get a few more uninterrupted races in over the weekend - that little Clio sure is good fun :)

Great combo John, loved the added dimension of the tyre degradation! 👍
I would like to try it again soon, would even be a Endurance-possibility in the future, gave me 'food for thought'.

The next TCR-Endurance will be something special. Waiting on the final details before revealing. :mischievous:

Sure anytime. It’s more of a casual affair at the moment but there are some awesome guys that race clean and fair here at TCR. The track is still shared if you want to give it a go.

It was good to race with you again Andy.

I just wanted to thank everyone that joined last night, you’re right Bo the tyre degradation was something that I have not experienced till now. It was surprising.

Good fun with the Clio's on Jon's tricky track 👍

On watching a replay I noticed my tyre wear was twice as bad compared to others, a poor set-up no doubt. I'll leave the camber/toe settings at default in future!:)

Cheers Guys!

It's such a pity I got disconnected last night before I could save a replay of the battles you and I had Gary. Would have made for some entertaining viewing swopping and changing positions before and after the chicane. Magical. I too was running toe and camber but the tyre drop was so sudden.

Hey Joylord, i sent you a FR so i can join some of the racing when i get the time. Did you receive it?

Very entertaining watching last night, apart from itching to get on track but would have been pointless, hope you enjoyed the car Andy.

Welcome to any new members to TCR. :nervous:

Nice to see other members helping out with input on the Endurance races, they do take a lot of work and planing, more so than the shorter combos I think. 👍

Looking forward to this next enduro event, so glad for the help which give me time to get over this bad spell. :grumpy:

Phillip.

Certainly did enjoy the car Phillip, although I'm not sure it enjoyed being driven by me, plenty of squealing on the bends :D

Are there any plans for racing tonight at any point?

We can always find something, I'm sure guys will join in.

Post something you would like to run and a room number, could re-visit an old track with a different car, anything.

I didn't get it. GTP_Joylord

Oh yes, the dreaded Max number of friends. You hvae reached the limit. I didnt realize it the the first time i sent it. So there you go. Could i add someone else instead?

Big shame we can't get these in full racing colours, I was watching this race this morning on Motors TV, at some ungodly hour, on a track about 4 cars wide that was in Tasmania Symmons Plains http://www.v8utes.com.au/index.php?page_id=roundresults&round_id=49

Room number will be posted in this thread.

ps Built new computer so no pics yet.

Sounds good Phillip and I should be back home early enough from a conference on Wednesday (hopefully not knackered). I don’t think I’ll have the best truck as I think I only have one of them; who knows it might be good with seriously dropped suspension. Did Boxston seem like a track that they where racing on in Tasmania? It’s a good name:sly:

I think all the trucks will tune and make the 550pp Jon, that should make them competative too. No the track was very tight :scared: you would have a job getting 4 cars between the curbs with these monsters 1800Kg + too, only had 7 turns in the track with one nasty hair-pin, was about 3am ish when I was watching it. :grumpy:

Thats the one Jon 👍👍
