Oh I have just seen too late, that the next event would be on infineon stock car couse. Sadly I didn't play the game for a long time and don't have that track unlocked. I need to retreat. My deepest appologies Matej :(

G'Day all !

First outing and two second places, very nice :)

I am quite fond of this track and felt I had done alright, especially once I had an effort in the bank avoiding the first corner Kaffeeklatsch :nervous:
Looking forward to Infineon round as I also like that track.
Good luck all 👍

Depending on where you are in game progress you could probably unlock it fairly quickly and achieve a time before the deadline ?
It would be good practice anyway doing the work, and would be very beneficial.
Go for it.

Sorry to hear that GTRufus. I also recommend to start playing GT4 as soon as possible, currently there are many interesting challenges around this forum that will surely make you occupied for some time. Good luck!! :) (GTRufus has been signed out.)

I'm in for Infineon raceway. found some time to race. Qualification time is set, Family Cup needs 2 more seconds shaved off.

You've been signed in one inch man, glad to have you back.

It's also interesting how many people actually like this track, I would say it's due to impulse to jump over that big ass rumble strip at fourth corner. :sly:

Thank you for your understanding Matej. It has been a long time since I have continued playing GT4. After doing my Gold-runs on license tests I wanted to do a break which has now taken for too long. I have started playing GT4 yesterday and might sign in one day in one of those challenges around. :)

Rule 15 has been added (24 hours before deadline I'll post little reminder as well as list of all drivers with demonstrated submissions.).

Welcome a112, read the rules and have fun (You've been signed in.)!

Also, rule 5 has been updated (Added points for 7th and 8th places.).

G'Day all,

Finished this and posted my times yesterday and have been playing around with some video production.

The videos I normally capture and use are very large file size , so I thought i would try using my raw captured file and running it through Windows Movie Maker to compress the video for posting to a more usable size.
I would be grateful for any feedback on quality etc. of the first effort attached.
Not a super fast time but got sick of having good runs ruined by contact with AI or blowing a good start on lap 2, so this run is fairly conservative ( but squeeky clean !! ).

Later.

That may have been too clean, I think. Especially second to last and last corner. The fast right hander is good for 100mph+ and earlier braking for the last hairpin will be quicker too.
And I found fooling around with the camber settings made a big difference.
Or is 'coaching' not welcome here?

Quality and sound are excellent Viperin, as well as your 3 cars overtaking method. Good upload for 30 MB's I would say. 👍

It's up to you to decide whether you want to coach someone or not One inch man; you can be free to talk about your experiences and thoughts however, whether this activity will give you disadvantage or advantage it's up to you to estimate. :sly:

Personally, I found out that dealing with different part combinations can lead to better times instead of messing with suspension setups. Well, that didn't worked on GVE but it works here at least for me...

Reminder:
24 hours left for submissions. (The deadline has been extended to 15 February 2012, 2.00pm due to college business.)

Current submissions: BH-21, One inch man, A112, Viperin, Thc118

Thanks

>>> Submit your total time to Matej via PM.

22 February 2012 (2.00pm, GMT +1) is a new deadline. Have fun. :gtpflag:

Which direction would you like us to drive on El Capitan?
If you can't see the word reverse near track name then it means that you should drive normal (forward) version. Also, picture might indicate you to right direction too.

G'Day all,

I have sent my times already as I will be very busy with work for a few days and did not want to run risk of missing deadline.

And I found fooling around with the camber settings made a big difference.

Thanks for the input 👍 , always happy to accept advice from those who are adept at tuning.
My philosophy is usually just add the parts allowed, adjust AT Transmission auto set so that Car is just hitting rev limiter in top gear as I begin braking on the fastest section of track. That is it.
Do not usually bother fiddling with other stuff too much as that way madness lies
I like to keep things simple and believe trying for an advantage via tuning should be restricted to tuning events ( besides I do not really know what I am doing anyhoo :) ).

Good luck all 👍

Are you familiar with the Amuse S2000? If not, buy it and have a look at the suspension setup. That's about what you'd want. If you'd like some more advice, let me know...

Hi there. I regret to inform you all that I'm withdrawing from this series.
After thousands of hours of playing time, my DFP pedals have finally given up and it doesn't look like I can rectify the sticky brake pedal issue that's been plagueing them for a while anymore. I've lost count of the number of times I've stripped them down, cleaned them out, reseated potentiometers and wires and generally resurrected them more than I really ought to have! Since I'm not progressing to GT5, I'm not inclined to buy a new wheel / pedals, so I'm calling it quits. :(

Will still be around but won't be a competitor anymore. 👍
Good luck to all!

Reminder:
24 hours left for submissions.

Current submissions: BH-21, Thc118, Viperin, One inch man

Good luck Smallhorses!! :) (You've been signed out.)

I think I'm gonna withdraw from this challenge as a participant ; unfortunately college is heating up again :indiff:, and I don't think I'll have enough time to complete scheduled races...

However, I'll stay here as an organizer so nothing will change from the side of participants except they'll have less opponents to worry about.

Thanks

Week 4

Motorland

Oups!! It's not easy to corner on this track as it looks like; sharp corners and a lot of grass traps will make a great challenge this week. Prepare yourselfs, battle for points is heating up.

>>> Submit your best lap to Matej via PM

RACE:

>>> Go to Original Circuit / Motorland / Family Cup (AI set to 4)

29 February 2012 (3.00pm, GMT +1) is a new deadline. (Week 3 points and times have been updated.) Have fun. :gtpflag:

I don't have much free time to participate right now, but I could help with setup if someone needs that.

Reminder:
48 hours until deadline. (Deadline has been extended to 1. March 2012 on same time.)

Current submissions: Thc118, One inch man, BH-21

Damn I have abandoned the GT4 forum. So much good things going on here :) I love S2000s. Just.. can I join now, or should I wait for season two?
