Track guide Twin Ring Motegi with Hattori-san and Tsuchiya-san

I had a PSN friend by the name of Slammer-Hammer who was trying to get me to start iRacing. I haven't checked it out (and won't until my end of the competition is over). But these guys swear by this game so I'm going to HAVE to eventually.

if you think you're fast in GT5 iRacing will give you a wake up call, even the MX5 races can be challenging at times :)

Oh well I just couldn't wait and D/L'd the TR Motegi track on I-Racing so I could get a heads up for the final. I hope the money was well spent but anything has to be better then trying to read someones how to. If anyone has any suggestions as to what car I should use on the track to practice w/ it would be appriciated. I haven't done anything w/ i-Racing in a while and I know that I'll be rusty but at leas the rust might get knocked off sooner by going this way.

Mustang FR500S will probably be the closest to what we've been driving. It's heavy, has decent power and barely any grip to go with it...all in all it's a ton of fun :P. Haven't driven it since it went NTM though. If you don't have that car, I would just drive the MX5.

Yeah, it's very hard to compare the two. iRacing is extremely unforgiving, has a steep learning curve and often punishes you for putting two wheels off the track while pushing the limits. GT5 gives you a lot more space to breath while still being a good challenge for casual and pro players.

GT Academy at this stage is all about how fast you are in Gran Turismo though, so there's not much point bringing iRacing into the equation.

Maybe he meant where in Jersey, that's how I took it. I'm on seats edge until we find out.

Lol.. I'm in south Jersey. Bridgeton to be exact about 10-15 mins from New Jersey Motorsports Park for people that follow the Rolex series.

I understand Dessy, I'm just grasping at straws so my remembering curve isn't so large since I can't boot up GT4 I had to do something.

Thankz Scooty :) I tried the MX5 and it feels a little slow but I do have the Cadillac and it seems to have what I thinking is a good pull of acceleration as well as the twitchy thing that I remember about those Nissan Z's

I am wondering if anyone have taken the S turn and the last 2 hairpin like the way it was taken by Tsuchiya and Hattori in the video ? or anything useful from the track guide given from the video ?

I know that turn 2 to 5 from East Course Motegi on GTA is not there on the video as they used the full course, but halfway from the 2nd straight to the finish line are the same, so are those lines taken in real life could really helped gain more time in GTA ? Any opinion ?

I did take those lines in GTA - 2nd straight to the tunnel, the s turn and the last 2 hairpin much like the video, but with controller I could only gain a little :(
