So the last update brought the weather radar, it lets you see a tracks geographic location. Some fictional tracks are located in cities according to the map ( norther isle).
Blue moon bay is where " Half Moon Bay" is.

Any curiosities ?

@Nakano219 made a post on this subject not long ago:

That's actually really cool.
I find it funny how PD retconed norther Isles location ( You could see the northern lights in GT Sport) and for high speed ring ( It was moved in an update) .

SSRX is nonsense. They plopped it right on top of Camp Pedleton, but nothing on the weather map matches up to the track, not even the coastline. The track has mountains where there should be open ocean, and water where there should be land. All the roads on the map are real, and many should be visible from the track, especially the Interstate 5 and the RR tracks that shadow it, but I can’t find a single one.

They should just move it south to San Diego Bay. It has a major sea port, a downtown with lots of pretty lights, and not only a commercial airport, but a naval air base as well.

Yep ! Right by the base the land actually looks like that but you will always have PCH there .

From someone who lives in San Diego, and drives through Pendleton on the 5 a few times a week, it looks like they took a lot of creative license with SSRX, borrowing elements from Pendleton, willow, Salton sea, and San Diego bay. The “airport” we’ll call it…because the planes appear to be commercial as opposed to military, are right off the track - which is similar to how San Diego international airport is. There’s no cliffs trackside a la PCH, no V-22 Osprey’s doing cool landings right next to the freeway, no F-18’s buzzing the highway, and fortunately…no testosterone and beer-fueled 18 year old marines looking for fights.

Fwiw, there’s San Diego’s famous Coronado Bridge influence on Grand Valley, route 1
