Great racing, you did very well last night. It showed who really put the effort in. Yeah I went to a setup which I had tried around Monaco but didn't work because of how tight and narrow Monaco was, and by the end of the night I started to have it sorted. I knew I probably wasn't going to take the win but I was hoping that if I could just maybe lead one lap, that one point might make a difference at the end of the series!

I think I can safely say that there is definitely no BOP discrepancies between the Alfa, Opel and maybe even the BMW now as all 3 of us have been very close in lap times across all 3 tracks.

Thanks to everyone who showed up last night and also everyone who stayed and did the qualifying session

Itz I'll be able to do Race 1 and Race 2 but I had a few problems saving Race 3's replay.

No problems, I'm not even sure whether I managed to save race 3. I tried at one point and it said 'no data to be saved' but im not sure if that is because i had already saved. So we may have problems if I check the videos and it isn't there...

well done MTLA it was your night man. Great racing all
also, I have race 3 saved but am technologically challenged. Can I send someone a replay if necessary?

Thanks very much to all!, was a highly enjoyable round! i found a much lower, softer spring with medium anti roll bars were getting me around at a good pace.... knew i had to put in some work after not being able to pull off a monaco win, was thinking maybe the 4wd wasnt the right choice for the championship but now feel more confident in it!

great work on the parity of the cars Itz, they really are amazingly close and it shows who ever comes to grips with the setup and track first is gonna have a great advantage.

Thanks very much soks!, i have a feeling the bmw is going do well at the high speed ring tyre wise.... i am going to be in and out of the pits a fair bunch!!

nice to see ADDZ there and also glad NW could show up!

i also have all 3 replays if it helps anyone!

Drivers Briefing - Round 3 High Speed Ring 500

After another excellent round at Deep Forrest Raceway on Thursday Night there really isnt much to say except for a few specific details regarding the High Speed Ring 500.

Qualifying

Thanks to the 3 other drivers who stuck around for the 1st round of Qualifying. It was a very close session with MTLA1984 just coming out on top to claim the provisional pole position. The target has now been set at 1:06.930.

We will begin the night earlier this week. The room will open at 7pm ACST, with another 10 minute qualifying session for those who missed our original session on Thursday. This will then finalise the grid for the race, with the best times from both sessions sorting the starting lineup.

Race Start

Once qualifying is complete and I have worked out starting positions, the race will be set to begin. Where you are lined up on the starting grid will not be of importance. What will be important to remember is your actual starting position as we will be doing a pace lap before beginning the race. All drivers will take of at 100km/h with exceptions made to those making there way into their starting position. Approaching the final corner, all drivers will slow to 60km/h and form up double file. Once the pole sitter reaches the painted grid slots he is entitled to accelerate and the race will be green. If the pole sitter does not accelerate before the Start/Finish line then the race will be green and you are free to overtake.

Pit Stops

Due to the potential for differences in tyre life found during series setup, it has been determined prior to the series beginning that there will be 6 Compulsory Pit Stops during the race. It will be up to each driver to make sure they complete all pit stops. If you fail to complete 6 Stops then you will be disqualified from the race.

Pit Entry/Exit

As general ettiquete, please pull to the left hand side of the track before entering pit lane as it is a blind entry into pit lane as a result of the exit of the tunnel being immediately prior to Pit Entry. Drivers must also observe the White Lines Exiting Pit Lane.

Good Luck to everyone taking part and I hope to see you all on Thursday.

This track (HSR) should be better for me since it has no chicanes so I'll be able to manage the track on my battle-ridden DS3. I've done an unoffical lap of 1.08.019 after 3 laps and there is alot of things I can do to make my car faster.

yes, the only track that would even the playing field any further would be Daytona!

I think my analogue sticks can't take any anymore agressive chicane turns. It's bad enough I've had to replace the analogue stick covers on one of my DS3's as a result of taking the Aventador for a spin 'round the Nurburgring.

hahaha! I know the feeling. A combination of FIFA and Madden has seen one of my ds3's break the analogue stick covers! Then general wear and tear has seen 2 ds3's decide to press random buttons. It sucks when the defender gets the ball on FIFA and then your ds3 decides the defender should take a shot from inside the opposing end box!

The story of my life in Madden 13. Probably be the same in Madden 15 when I get it.

mine have survived since i bought my ps3... years now of heavy usage, the only issue is found was when i knocked a glass of water over which landed on the controller and spilled liquid into the bloody thing... like right into the dpad gaps n such... me and my bro looked at each other like, "i bet if we tried we couldnt get more water in it"... needless to say it went haywire!

SANDOWN QUAL IN 5 MIN

(just saw Scott Mclaughlin doing sim prac with a Fanatec Clubsport wheel and base)

and is it just me, or is channel 7 the worst ever at showing sprint races or short qual session... less then 2 or 3 mins into it they go to the longest ever add breaks, its so frustrating, i cannot tell you how many times ive sat down to a 10 min qual shootout and only seen 3 or so mins of it. its amazing.

Free to air TV is horrendous with ad's. But that is how they keep it 'free to air', loads of ads to pay for TV rights. Anyway, Formula E season opener in 1hr and 10mins!(So basically straight after Sandown Qualy)

nice!!, will have to stream the formula e, am blown away by some of the drivers they have gotten, has legitimized the sport further than i thought it would (before actually racing and seeing how it all works)

Yes, the drivers are really impressive. Two names caught my eye more than any others. Bruno Senna (Ayrton Senna's Nephew) and Nico Prost (Alain Prost's Son). Hopefully we see another Senna v Prost rivalry. I'll be rooting for Bruno if it happens!

yeah Bruno was ok in f1, didnt really get a chance (sat out most friday prac sessions to let pay drivers have a spin) so he was hamstrung from the start, but williams were a mess back then so just bad timing i guess, Prost is also a good prospect... im much more excited about Antonio Felix Da Costa (almost got a drive with force india), Lucas Di Grassi, Seb Buemi (ex torro rosso), Jerome d’Ambrosio, Oriol Servia... the list goes on... is actually a stacked class!
Jaime Alguersuari, Sam Bird , TRULLI, HEIDFIELD! insane.
