So looking at my current car in the garage, its 376hp and 1000kg? Can we update the first post with adjusted car specs? I always forget these things :P

Wow that was lucky. My PS3 had another triple beep shutdown right after the race finished. I wonder if my PS3 is dying?...

Anyway great racing. I put everything into that second race. Plan A was dashed when fullgas lagged into me putting me out of touch of the slipstream. The merc cant really compete on that track on pace alone. So I pitted 4 laps early hoping to get the under cut and at least get back into the slipsteam. Worked better than I thought and when fulllgas exited the pits I was something like 6-8 seconds ahead (no real idea, when the lag happened the game put fullgas in last on my timing). From then on it was qualifying lap after qualifying lap and hoping fg makes a mistake because my tyres were not going to last. A few laps to go and I thought I was screwed, fg was in my mirrors and I thought he would blow past me on the straight. Never quite happened though, I think he used up his tyres much faster than I did and even though his tyres were much fresher we both ran out of grip. Just one more lap and he would have had me though. Very tough and fun race.

Apologies for tonight. It was very frustrating and really testing. I ask everyone to stick by me though even if you were also frustrated and upset by the issues we were experiencing. Next season will have the High Speed Ring 500 better planned out.

A big Thanks to everyone who was able to stick it out and I'm sure the racing we had tonight was good reward for your patience. The decision was made to just combine the results from the 2 races to determine the points handed out for this round. Once I have these confirmed they will be posted on here.

Normal service resumes next Thursday Night at Laguna Seca with a return to the 3x Sprint Races. Hope I see everyone there!

as i pitted in the second race trying to under cut Gas, i looked down to the power board that has my setup plugged into it, thought i saw the tv one loose so pushed it back in...... TURNED THE TV OFF!!! i felt the force feed back for about 5 or so seconds before i had vision back, by then Nas rocketed past... i pushed too hard trying to make up for it but spun a few more times.... was a really great race (both of them)! (i am so upset that i had this issue but know that racing is racing and even if its online, racing incidents happen!)...

PD will hopefully fix some of the connection issues asap, was a little long winded (the disconnections) but id prob walk over hot coals to do a 2 min sprint!. Itz, you run a REALLY solid show, do not think think the internet issues (which forced your hand on race length and such) reflect negatively on you! BRING ON LAGUNA SECA! any official pracs in the pipeline?, keep me posted! congrats to the winners and all racers, was some good fierce (spinny in my case) racing!

also, how close the cars where was fantastic, a few tenths here and there, a mistake meant heaps, was really good! i know nas wasnt that happy but i think to win with what he had he must be chuffed as!

Thanks for the great racing guys . . . nice and clean is always fun . . . sorry for the lag Nas . . . i've done everything I can to stop it from happening . . . I thinks it's just the area I live in . . . ???? But great racing . . . I was down to 3 on the FR trying to catch up . . . hahhahahaa - It was nice to be able to race WITH you for a change as opposed to me normally watching you disappear into the distance . . . the car set-up I had was spot on . . . so, like you, I was trying to apply pressure to make you make a mistake . . . hahahahahaha - didn't happen (sure you didn't get a massage?) . . . great fun guys and looking forward to next week . . . hopefully as MT said it would great if PD get their **** together and get the sound issues fixed . . . the steering to me seems ok? i'm using a G27 . . . FF not as strong - but "driving" is much more "car like" than before I believe? anyways . . . cheers all . . . Phil

great racing boys...I mean GREAT!!!! What sticks in my mind most was the epic battle I had with Itz in race1, not quite sure how I got 6 sec behind in the pits but what can you do. Tried to repeat that kinda battle with nas in #2 but spun it and thats how race 2 went for me
see ya all next week

I think I got everyone with the good ol' undercut in race 1! I was surprised that you all went longer than me to be honest as I thought pitting on lap 22 would give me a good set of tyres for the run home.

I knew if I could just hold on to 2nd in that first stint that I could put the hammer down and get a bit of a gap on you Nosoks. What I didn't expect was that I'd also jump Fullgas as well and take handy lead even though it wasn't enough to hold on for a win.

It was a great night and I think choosing High Speed Ring was a success as far as the quality of racing was concerned.

I'll be reviewing races as soon as I can (most likely tonight) and will have correct results and points updated along with a briefing for Laguna Seca

Still think the race should've been postponed or something so everyone could race and the 🤬 drama wouldn't hurt anyone else's chances at a top 5 in both the race and the championship... It was poor organisation as we started over an hour later than we were supposed to and the sound bug isn't much of a big deal as I had it the majority of event in all 3 lobbies and it didn't bother me. And no one had any idea what was happening when you told us to go on the track then on the roll up lap which was more of a one lap sprint mixed in with people fumbling to get into positions not to mention the inconsistent pace with everyone bunched up nearly 3-4 wide going into the final corner instead of being in double file with a consistent pace which caused me to disconnect, which exactly how I disconnected at Laguna Seca in the Aus GT3.

Series Standings are now updated. Usually if drivers dont start a race they wont receive points for that race. However, due to the nature of last night, I decided it was only fair that drivers who were unable to start either race were given points based on when they dropped out as it was a very difficult night for all involved.

No offense but so you should. In @VENDALISM's case, had we started when we supposed to, the 42 lap race would've been finished before he had to leave.

In regards to the roll around lap, fullgas did end up slowing to 100km/h after turn 2 and then he did slow to 60km/h coming into the final corner. While he did take off which made the rest of have to do similar, he did listen to clear instructions to bring the pace down.

Also while the sound bug was an issue it does affect hearing when to change gears so I thought it was fair to give everyone the best possible chance to compete at 100%. We then unfortunately came across the issue of myself and nasanu being unable to see anyone else which would have been a huge dilemma in the race, requiring another room reset. All of these things are variables which are uncontrollable on the night and I tried to handle them the best I could. Its easy to say just postpone the race until tonight, but as you know, the issue is that all of us have lives outside of Gran Turismo and it is also unfair to expect everyone to drop whatever plans they have for tonight just to do a race on a video game, which is all it is in the end :)

All updated now @nasanu now that I can finally get onto my laptop and have the wifi connected to it. If you can, could you still send me your car setup so I can do some BOP testing and make sure everything is correct.

I have no problem with the issue of not being able to see anyone but the sound issue is a known issue and has a quick temporay fix which only Vendalism listened to me about but as it is a bug, there is no way, whatsoever to be able to get around it. It was always going to happen so you either need to take it like I did, or call it quits. Simple. If fullgas was told to slow down, then how come it wasn't consistent nor slow as I was still going flat-out going into the tunnel which leads to the final corner.

No offense but so you should. In @VENDALISM's case, had we started when we supposed to, the 42 lap race would've been finished before he had to leave.
This basically sums up my frustrations. Vendalism had the race wrapped up just about watching him in practise but due to a few lengthy waits while we were ready, he had that chance slip away from me.

Maybe Monday or Wednesday night but I'm not entirely sure. It is going to a busy week as I need to have a race car ready to race by Sunday and I'm having a 21st party on the Saturday, so I will have a fair bit on my plate this week. If you want to run a practice for everyone though, I won't hold you back! :)

cool my man! (def dont stress though, we all got stuff to do outside of gt6 so if you ever need me to run a prac or something just gimme a yell)

just posted a 1:56.060 in the Toyota FT-1 GT super lap at bathurst, 461st in the world! woop! only 3.705sec off the fastest... how does someone go so fast! am chuffed as with my effort though!

update!

just ran 1:55.820 for 372nd

It's going to be a bit of a hit and miss for me on Thursday. At this point I won't be able to tell you a definitive answer on if I'll attend until Wednesday.

No worries NW48, if you can make it will be great to have you there.

Awesome!
I hope to be there as Laguna Seca is one my top tracks and doesn't have any wretched chicanes so my DS3 will and has always been at an equal-ish standard as the wheel guy's. Also, straight after Thursday's race, RMTC's final practice will be on and if I can't make your race and the practice, I'm gonna give you the responsibility of hosting.
