I'm coming. Everything for tonight is done so I should be able to join without putting my series off. First time I'll hit the track in the M3 GTR since the HSR 500.

congrats to all who showed and raced, sorry if it was a little lengthy, i bought a mic and headset but i couldnt get it configured in time so writing it all out was def a little slow!. Itz will resume as normal for the next round so will be a fair bit more fluid.

thanks to @bencrow for joining the series, some great racing from the young kid!

was def my night, had put in a ton of track time setting the alfa up, it seems to be phenomenal with high torque and traction around that sort of course and could hold great mid corner speed while at shorter turning tracks like monaco i just couldn't get the thing around at all, like a washing machine with wheels.

i will pass on all results to @ItzRacing for the championship standings to be updated and try figure out how to take pics and upload race report!

sorry to vend who i think had some classic PD net issues, he was putting in some great times snagging the race 1 fastest lap with a very tidy 1:23.049, before being unceremoniously disconnected.

one last thanks to gas and soks, they race fast, hard and fair then create easily the best after race banter on the net! i hope to get my setup working so i can join in next time!

see you all next round!

Look forward to your return VENDAL.

Apologies for last night, I was more focused on organising other things, in the end I could have done all 3 races but my head wasn't screwed on so I thought it was safer to leave before I crashed into Nosoks! (It's always Nosoks I end up crashing into if I do crash)

it WAS a fun night chasing MT again, even tho I had no sound the last 2 races. AND no worries Itz, the fun racing is where its at.

Thanks guys you honestly made it a lot easier! It's the first seriesI have entered so to run it on my 4th outing was a little daunting but besides a few narky apples who joined everyone was really supportive and made it a great event! I think vend was on the pace so would have been great to battle and soks, having no sound makes it next to impossible, we should def figure out a way of letting you jump in and out to rectify that! Thanks again guys.

def looking forward to your return vend, sexy time racing is a great team!, fast!!

I might be pulling out of this series as a full-time driver and I'll only do a few selected races. It's up in the air for now as I'll be extrmely busy throughout October between the Whitsunday Titles in Mackay to the Race of Stars in Pimpama (Gold Coast).

Track Stars Touring Car Series
Round 4
Laguna Seca
Race 1

Race 1 saw MTLA get away from the line smartly giving him an early lead, Itz claims second making a decisive stab up the inside of Soks into the first turn but when Bencrow (the alfa rookie) tries to follow suit Soks is wise to the move and closes the door soundly. The back of the pack isn't lacking any action with Vend and Gas' jostling forcing The Opel driver to run wide and take a little dirt.

1.jpg

Bencrow fights onward but becomes unstuck at the top of the corkscrew allowing Vend to make a splendid pass just missing the Alfa, forging on toward Soks just a few seconds ahead.

2.jpg

Back at the front MTLA extends his lead with Itz in the Opel and Bmw's Soks in hot presuit.

3.jpg

Gas tried to get his Opel flowing again but the lack of track time due to car issues is evident as he pushes hard to find the limit sliding off course but saving the spin. (The track would come to him in the following races)

4.jpg

The Mercedes Sexy time racing's Vend makes a charge in 4th following Soks who is nose to tail with Itz

5.jpg

With Vend pushing so hard late in the race he gets a little ragged heading up the hill and finds himself running wide, Gas takes this as a gift and slots past into 4th.

6.jpg

While chasing MTLA hard and under pressure from behind, Itz in 2nd place also finds his way into some trouble heading into the wall, Soks not being more than a second behind collects the spot and heads for the line. After reporting gearbox issues for laps, Vend's Merc finally packs it in, the ray of hope is him still managing the fastest lap of the race with a blistering 1:23.049.

7.jpg

Back at the front Alfa's MTLA has a slightly less eventful race completing a lights to flag race in fresh air keeping the tyres in check. Soks Holds out Itz for 2nd after the Opel driver ran wide late With Gas following home a bit later in 4th after a testing race for the hardened racer. Bencrow brings home a 5th for the team with important points in the constructors title and an amazing debut for the latest recruit to the series.

have been having some issues transferring a few pics from that race, will attempt it again tomorrow but the other two races seemed to have worked fine, will also get to report writing tomorrow as i got work pretty early and that took forever figuring that out!!.. hahaha

I'm definitely interested in taking part in this. Are there still spots?

Yeah there are still a few spaces available, so you are more than welcome to join in. I just need you to let me know your choice of car (available positions are in the OP on the first post) and then I need a PSN friend request from you by Thursday.

At the moment the Opel and Mercedes are the only 2 cars available as there are only 2/3 drivers in a full time position in those cars.

Look forward to seeing you Thursday Night :)

Hi Lads, i'm out for this Thursday night :( Heading to Grenfell for the NSW State Titles and won't return until Sunday night . . . might come up for the Race of The Stars at GC NW . . . we'll see . . . Good luck all and look forward to catching up on the following Thursday night.

No problems! Good luck for the weekend, hope it all goes well for you and you have a successful weekend. :)

I also won't be there on Thursday as I'll be in Mackay for the Whitsunday Titles... my hoodoo event... oh boy, aren't I in for a ride. Will be there for next weeks race, if I get a sufficient amount of practice in.

Put me down as a Wildcard too, as well. My attendance is going to be dodgey over the next few weeks.

Good luck as well NW! hope you can get your hoodoo event, i never quite managed to get my Karting hoodoo event when I raced.

Well I managed to get over my 1st of 2 hoodoo events this year (Sugar City Titles, also in Mackay) so I should be able to get over this one with a new engine.

Good luck to everyone racing this Thursday at Indianopils GP, the track is great and has a few tricky little corners, it's easier than the current Indianoplis GP circuit so take that one for granted!

Drivers Briefing Round 6 - Indianapolis GP

Circuit: Indianapolis Road Course
Laps: 3x 8 Laps
Circuit Time: N/A
Weather: N/A

Time for another drivers briefing! Yeah, I know, I find them pretty boring myself...

I think basically I keep telling everyone to just do what they have been doing all season, and you basically adhere to the rules so I am sure we will have no problems again this week.

Track Limits

There are only a few possible grey areas where questions may be asked over whats acceptable and what isnt.

Turn 1: If you dont manage to hit the tyre bundle which will slow you down considerably anyway you will be fine so there is nothing to worry about, unless you fire down the inside of the tyre barrier, which you will be penalised for!

Turn 7: It is possible to run wide on the exit of 7, but you will run on to the painted road which wont provide much grip at all, so it is basically a non issue.

Turn 12: There is a painted white line on the exit of the track at the entry to the superspeedway section of the track but again it is a non issue whether you cross this line or not.

Vehicle Specifications

I did some testing last night of all 4 of the cars in the series and have come to the conclusion that adjustments were needed to the Car Specifications. The specifications below are preliminary at this stage and may still be subject to change before Thursday Night as i gather further data.

ALFA ROMEO: 400hp / 1040kg
BMW: 400hp / 1185kg
MERCEDES-BENZ: 376hp / 1000kg
OPEL: 400hp / 1080kg

Track Stars Touring Car Series
Round 4
Laguna Seca
Race 2

Race 2 began with a reduced grid owing to the fact Itzracing would suffer oil pressure issues after his first run, the Opel team simply could not remedy the problems as he was left in the garage ruing the missed chances for points at a track he felt strong at.
As the race started MTLA got a great start and showed clean heals into the first corner. Soks ran a little wide as Bencrow seized the moment and charged into second with Gas and Vend also pouncing on the rare mistake from the Bmw driver to claim 3rd and 4th.

1.jpg

2.jpg

Bencrow pushing hard on the tail of MTLA gets ragged on the course edge handing over the position to Vend who splits the Alfa team mates

3.jpg

Crow searching for pace then spins giving Vend some breathing space as he sets off after the leader, in an eventful first few laps crow finds himself behind both Gas (3rd) and Soks (4th) again

4.jpg

Fullgas survives a series of lockups as Soks does his best to track the Opel racing strongman.

6.jpg

Mtla leads Vend (2nd) and Gas (3rd) in equidistant fashion, holding pace they maintain the gap from one another for a lap or so

7.jpg

Vend chasing fast and smooth runs into a little trouble as he breaks traction after the corkscrew, spinning, allowing Gas to chance passing, contact (though light) is made as Vend returns to track

9.jpg

10.jpg

status quo seeps in as the race matures and the action cools down for a lap or more before Vend in his Sexy Time Racing Team AMG merc breifly passes gas only to end up collecting a barrier and hand the spot back with Soks also sneaking on through for 3rd
Unfortunately The merc suffers chasis damage and will be loaded on the team truck to be set straight at the factory, needless to say he would not see out the round. The Bmw driver (soks) then sees about cutting down the gap to Gas

11.jpg

13.jpg

Unfazed by the action behind him MTLA holds on for his second lights to flag race of the weekend thanking his team for giving him the rocket he gets to drive here at Laguna Seca. Gas hold on for second as a rampaging Soks closes up to his bumper in 3rd whilst Bencrow takes 4th having another strong race in his rookie weekend showing with a little track time in the new car he will be a force to be reckoned with.

Track Stars Touring Car Series
Round 4
Laguna Seca
Race 3

The last race of the round saw a smaller grid again after the unfortunate luck of the Sexy Time Amg Racing Team and the Opel of Itz still not responding to the work the team mechanics were putting in, both driver would walk away a little annoyed with the lost opportunity for precious points in the tightly run Track Stars Touring Series.
Mtla would begin from pole in the little Alfa with Fullgas' Opel taking the opposite side of the front row with soks in 3rd and rookie Bencrow in 4th.

1.jpg

Bmw's main driver Soks was handed a costly 5sec penalty for a jump start as he sat back and watched the field race away gaining a great advantage over him.

2.jpg

Running a little wide after pushing for the limit sees Bencrow drop a few seconds back from the front runners as soks also snatches the spot after making great time suffering from his penalty.

3.jpg

Immedaitely after Crows mishap Gas also manages to turn himself round facing the wrong way whilst Soks maintaining his great consistency races into 2nd.

5.jpg

6.jpg

Missing his breaking point Bencrow dive bombs up the inside of Soks making contact, following suit Gas also brakes too late as all 3 drivers find themselves fighting the wheel to keep the car straight, unfortunately Gas spins completely. Meanwhile MTLA increases his gap over the field in what is turning out to be a great track for the Alfa drivers style.
7.jpg

8.jpg

Consolidating 2nd, Soks strings together a great few laps picking up time on his persuers racing away toward the end of the race. Bak up the road a little Bencrow is punted off the corkscrew after getting a wheel up on the curb at the wrong time Giving Gas of Opel a chance to rectify his earlier mistake and take back 3rd place for the himself and the team a few corners later.

10.jpg

11.jpg

12.jpg

Mtla brings home the 3rd win from 3 races for his beloved Alfa team, Soks maintains 2nd with an 8 second gap over Gas (3rd) who holds out Bencrow (4th). After some great racing and a tough weekend, The Track Stars Touring Car Championship round 4 LAguna Seca is wrapped up.
