Did some early Saturday testing.

M: 1:15.6
S: 1:13.9

Fuel drops at around 7.8L a lap so rounded up you need about 92L of fuel to get to the end.

Mediums are the best race tyre, they stay consistent all the way to the end of their life. Approx 8 laps; any more and you'll be off the cliff.

Softs are fairly consistent but after 6 laps they fall of severely on the 7th. Massive under steer and very slow.

Should be a crazy day with different pit strategies.

Hi guys because of the storm I lost power so will see you guys next week.

Shame you dropped out buddy but I'm working on a plan to keep everyone in the hunt, stay tuned.. Should be set by Tuesday and I'll let everyone know then..... ;-)

Ok guys, here's the plan... I know we talked the other day about drop outs (engine failure) when Sean asked the question and we said like real racing things happen that are out of our control and that's just tough...! Well, to keep everyone in this championship we've changed that so even if you blow your car up by pushing to hard.. lol. You will get points, whoever drops/doesn't finish will get next points after the last person who crosses the line. This will keep everyone in the hunt for sure. Any questions?

Fabulous racing the other day chaps. The lap times tell an interesting story, wondering if a fast lap time is a good thing over all with the tyre wear. Bring on Sunday! Well done to Clint and Jim.

Really great racing all round, people were less than a second different in the times. That means everyone has the pace needed to win.

Outright speed is pretty irrelevant if you can't keep the tyres alive. Also important to choose a tyre friendly line rather than a fast one if you can.

Top job for Platinum he was super fast and reeled me in without much effort in the second race.

Just wishing I had put fuel in in that stop, could have been a three man battle that last corner!

Lol not much of a battle mate. I Plat passed me on a fast corner like I was in a Datsun.

It's going to be a great mini series with people dropping horse power like this. It will be a real battle in the last few when everyone's trying to block with no power to overtake.

Just a side point: anyone yet to join us will be given equal points to the lowest so if you join late, your still in with a chance.... Let's end this with a cracker to finish GT5!

Hi guys, looking forward to today's race going to be a blast. Concrete is in today just easier to police. Auts the birthday boy is going to be hung over to the max so make sure you take advantage of that. Hope you all enjoy the racing. Same time same bat Chanel.

Hi guys, what a cracking day of racing sunday. Really sorry i didn't save first race for lap times I'm getting old you know. Have even greater respect for tim and rager for all the work those 2 guys have done for this series. Bit on the plate race day. Hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as i did was some great battles going on all over the track. They say you slow down the older you get but auts with another year under his belt proved that theory wrong blowing us all out of the water, top job on your pole and race 1 win. Great to have manoc back racing on sunday to.

Some really tough racing. The hp difference was horrible up the hill but the rest was about carrying speed which wasn't too hard at GV.

Had some amazing battles but was absolutely gutted for Fewzo who had a great run while I put the pressure on. Soon as he tried to swap to save tyres he dropped one in the dirt.

Great racing fellas

What can I say, epic first race for me after getting pole I stuck my head down and put in some good laps, had a 3 second lead coming in to my first pit stop over Luke who was consistently in my mirrors. Changed to softs for 2nd stint and brought the lead out to a healthy 10 seconds. Final stint on Mediums was good, realised it was going to be tight on fuel so short shifted the last two laps to come in for the victory. Not the best win considering I never had to battle anyone, but still a great race. Race 2 was great fun, had a good battle going on with Luke and others as we picked our way up the field.
Was sitting behind Fewzo and Clint watching their epic battle when fewzo chucked a wheel on to the grass and spun (so easy to do on that corner when you are screened behind someone). Through my cockiness I decided to go right rather than slowing down too much and paid the price as I got tapped into the sand. After that incident I set about hammering every last drop out of the humble Lexus, had a good run with sean at one stage.

Just want to say how much I am enjoying this series, last round was a track that I didn't agree with too much and I thought the car wasn't suited to me, all my doubts are now gone though! Big thanks to Clint for his brake bias suggesting of 2-0, really cured my issue from the last round of the car locking up as I shifted down to 2nd into bends.
Bring on Sunday!

This track with this car equals many grips, and is also very hard to wheel spin unless you hit one of the many bumps, and as I've told fewzo, I've even drawn up a graph of race strategy for race 1 and 2.

A warning to all to slow down till well in 2nd gear before entering pits, if you don't do this the game will ping you back to the start of the pit as you are going too fast, think of it as a time penalty for speeding in pit lane...
So anyone entering pits behind me please be aware I'm going to be hitting the brakes hard.
Looking around 9l of fuel a lap. During testing I found the tyres were still looking ok on the display after 5 laps, just the car became unpredictable on the many bumps.

What are the rules on the many corners to be cut? No kicking up dirt?

My testing was fairly consistent. Sub 130s for the first lap then solid 130 till the 6-7 lap. 7 laps 7 laps 6 laps is the ideal. Softs or mediums for the last 6 laps both last.

Fuel is pretty good too. About a quarter tank per 7 laps

I've busted out the calculator and have figured it out to the litre, drew up graphs and used all my brain cells. On another note, how **** the driving standards where at philip island?

If you do the math 9L x 20 it's 180. However the attrition rate is different at different fuel loads. My test I was exactly 1 lap from empty on my last lap. It was no where near 80L.

Are you sure that was on very fast, I could get half a tank out of seven laps.
