It was a tough weekend. With so many really fast guys I think proper testing will be important next time.

Some very very fast and consistent racing. Going to be a cracker series

I concur, I didn't do any testing or practice cause of my off and it showed on the day with my ventures in to the gravel. Looking forward to Sunday!

Shame about all the network issues, the Carden duo need to get themselves off wifi!

Hi guys, this week we will be traveling to the U.K. Brans hatch grand prix circuit. 28 laps. Same as normal with reverse grid for second race. Mics will be off but will open another room after race for bit of a chat after race if interested. Be sure to rug up could be frosty over there this time of the year. Cheers emu.

Did 28 laps RM tyres only. Got fuel perfect and tyres are weirdly different each stint but they won't be an issue 10 laps or under.

This race will be about who can put in the best laps and spend the least time in the pits. I just can't see tyres being a major factor.

That said I tested alone so drafting and fighting for position may affect tyres more.

Cheers Clint. Hoping to put in some laps of my own today n will post my findings later. I think the key will be staying out of the sand here though as some of the corners really suck you in!

Definitely a hard track to keep the speed up as the tyres wear out. The three high speed rights are the bane of my existence

What is your best time so far Clint? Managed a 28.8, I reckon a perfect lap would be in the 27s...

Hi Grip, you're in Chch I see, we should have a beer sometime.
Tyre wear is set on very fast.

Got 1 27.8 with 335hp

Between 28 and 31 for the rest but with the current probs after pit stops it's hard to be accurate for the last two stints.

I think less HP would be quite handy on turns 3 and 4 getting on the gas. Amping for Sunday, bring it on! I think as long as you're between 28-31 anyone will be in with a shot. I use wayyyy more gas than most of you fullas so that will knock me back a bit!

Ok final testing done. 8 laps on softs is about the maximum. You can do 9 safely but it's almost 2 seconds slower that lap.

The safest and I think fastest strategy is a two stop. Can't imagine anyone 1 stopping here.

Any questions let me know

I tested both one stop and two stop strategies on the softs. Total race time for each was about the same, about 35 mins. I was amazed that this car is still quite drivable even when the front left tyre is gone completely :) I did have a couple of off track incidents in both tests. I'll test again today and see if I can improve on my times and get all my laps completely clean.

Is there any particular reason why no tuning is allowed. Just a little tweak here and there would possibly improve the drivability and reduce tyre wear. And ABS?....

Who is using a wheel and who is using a controller? I'm using G27.

Hi grip, we are into our 6th season running no tune, main reason for no tune is that most of us got sick of doing boring races with guys who tune better than others running away with easy wins. All the guys in this series are ofter one thing, a cracking close clean race, where you come is 2nd to a good race. It has worked really well with all of us forming great friendships. Don't get me wrong we are a competitive bunch and love a win but some of my most memorable races have been midfield. There whole non tune thing just lets you know if you got beaten by driver skill and race craft. As a bunch of guys its amazing to see how we have pushed each other to become quicker and quicker. The hp drop and point system makes it even closer. Have raced you from time to time and know you'll fit in really well with your speed and clean respectful driving. Really hope you enjoy it as much as all of us have. Luke, fewzo, fruitti and boy wonder are on controllers with the rest of us on wheels. Cheers emu. p.s. not sure if you've been told but you are only allowed to use softs once between the 2 races and have to start on mediums.

Thanks for the info emu. I'm glad you mentioned that soft tyres can only be used in one race for only one stint. I'll have to go back to the drawing board.

So as I understand it:

1. Each event has 2 races of XX laps, number of laps determined by track length.
2. Soft tyres can only be used for 1 stint during the whole event.
3. Races always start with medium tyres.

Are penalties set to none, weak or strong?
Are there any other rules that I should be aware of?

Hey Grip, if you want I could give you a ring and describe it all to you...

Haha yes Boywonder, I do like to enter the pits in a cloud of tyre smoke

Hi grip, what we run is no penalties. Page one of this link is a good read. different car but basically how we run. We have a rule about cutting corners, we like to see 2 wheels on the inside of white lines at all times. No penalties is there so no one gets a penalty form some one else's mistake e.g. collision or cut to avoid a collision. We know there are going to be times you might cut by mistake, but we don't want anyone doing it more than 3 times to make up ground. All races are saved and the 2 old fart stewards check them. Its just we all know each other trust we're all doing the right thing. Yes you have the tyres spot on. Any other questions with chat with u online. Cheers emu

Hi all, this weeks race has a few grey areas as far as keeping 2 wheels inside the white line. There are 4 corners that have matting on the inside or outside of the corners, they are there for run offs. They may be used with 2 of your wheels but not all 4 we want to see 2 wheels on the ripple strip on those corners. We know if you are following someone its easy to turn in too early but don't want to see anyone doing it buy them selfs for an advantage. Any problems send luke or myself a personal message on psn. Hope you all enjoy the race tomorrow think its going to be a cracker. Cheers emu.

Top racing this weekend. I think I got lucky race 1. A lot of the fast guys had incidents that gave me some breathing room.

2nd race was the best I've had ever since I joined. Put myself in a wall trying to avoid Greg (who gave the position back but shouldn't have). Played catch up and that's always been my best motivator. Caught up to Luke and Platinum and had some awesome racing. 2 or even 3 wide into corners. Plat made a mistake which left me and Luke.

I'll be honest. I bullied 12 kinds of poop out of Luke but nothing worked. He was rock solid the entire time. Racer of the day award mate. Best I've seen from you.

Damn right clint, race 1 win for you and race 2 win for me were relatively easy, just had to hit the front n set an average pace. Now holding off our 3 times (?) reigning champ for a 2nd is worth 1000 of 1st places by 15 seconds.

Race 1 started alright for me, Jim managed to pressure me twice into silly mistakes which ultimately cost me a shot at 1st or 2nd, can't really complain about 3rd though can we? Race 2 I got lucky and managed to filter through a pack in disarray. Grabbed on to the tail of a charging Luke and Sean n eventually got through (I think). After that it was just a case of solid lap times and not falling off the track. Bring on next Sunday!

Hope you all enjoyed round 2. Thought it was cool starting at 6am, luke and i thought it might make it interesting. Watching replays and saw some awesome racing between you all. Everyone did a great job keeping cars where we asked thanks for that. Nice pole to vh and great to have you back with us mik. Top job to new commer grip, i had a good run with you and was as clean as ever, hope enjoyed your first race with us. Great wins to clint and auts, nice work both of you. Very impressed with luke holding of clint with some top driving, plat and myself where just behind you guys and looked like a hard old battle. I had a conservative race, my plan was to watch all you guys up front push each other into mistakes. Might rethink that next time. Had a great run with auts and grip race one. Race 2 was fun and had a great run with plat last few laps. Fewzo frutti and swim where missed, but hope to see you guys again soon.

Hy guys, track is going up a day early so you can get your head around it. Tuff track but has to be done. Its Matterhorn Rotenboden 20 laps. Im hearing you all groan but where all in the same boat. Think it will work out fun nothing like a challenge.

315hp + Rotenboden

Uphill = :banghead:

Downhill = :dopey:

Yeah I was thinking of you as I struggled up there with 335 HP. Only benefit I could see is that there are some areas the arse end gets loose if you run slightly off line so you might be able to power through.

Lap times so far seem to be in the 37s if you're running it safe, 35.8 is the best when your balls to the walls. I think a 34 would definitely be possible if you could link a perfect lap with some bravery thrown in.

Looking like a 1 stop race providing you're not too hard on your tyres, young swimorsink managed to burn his up in 10 laps so definitely possible. Add the tyre glitch after pit stop in the mix and should be a hoot!

Key here will be to not bin it (duh) but also not Nanna it too much or you'll get swallowed hole!

Sorry guy's not racing this week. But I will try and and catch up with you guys at some stage.

35.9 for a qualifying lap. Uphill is painful. Wrong gear for the first set of corners.

The low hp is a bonus down hill though, so I'll catch people on the way down but they will annihilate me up the hill.

Auts did a 34.6 for a qually lap... Saw it with my own two eyes! Think I'm in trouble... :-/

Hi guys, good luck today going to be a tuff one. Main thing we want to see is the guy leaving pits must give way to guy already on the track. If that means slowing to avoid accident so be it. Any problems there will be deemed an unsafe release and a 20sec penalty. Hope you all have a blast. Cheers emu and luke.
