Just a few things I would like to point out about todays races.

1) I started this series with a minimum requirement of 10 drivers to move forward. It seems that we are having trouble reaching that goal for each race. If things do not improve for next week, the series will not continue. I was hoping that prizes would bring more people in, but I don't think it's worth it if we only have grids of 5-6 cars.

2) Some of you are not running the proper transmission I believe. The short ratio 5-speed (non-adjustable) maxes out at 75mph in 3rd gear. At Suzuka, you should be at redline in 5th gear before you brake for turn 1. @lxmmy @Ramalhinho91 @Danny99 can you please confirm which transmission you are using. Thanks.

3) Whoever is laying on the horn for pretty much the entire length of the pre-race start, please stop.

Results & Points will be posted shortly.

RT I have been weighing up if I should join, since well I haven't been on GT for donkey's.. One thing I was gonna ask first though, is Mole has 77 but he hasn't been to a round yet and is doing a 24 hr race in Barcelona next week. So could I nab if off him ?

Well everyone should be on the same wheel/wheel size per the rules but I've let it slip. If that is true then we need to make an adjustment.

I ran all the parts as specified and many people were using constant 3rd gear through the 'S curve' and no offence it is simple as who had the best setup and who could drive the smoothest. I watched the replay and everyone had hit around the same speed down the straight and hit around the same RPM in the same gear. The speed you carry through the 'S curve' is dependent on the suspension & LSD setup.

It shouldn't matter what LSD or suspension settings you have, transmission gearing will max out at the same speed no matter what. The only exception to this rule is wheel/tire size which can effect top speed but I was not aware that this was replicated in GT.

As far as the replays go, my replay shows a few cars running third gear 80+ mph through the S curves and a couple (me and Nick) running 4th because our third gear would top out at 75mph like it should. After everyone left the room I went out and tried to run 3rd through there and couldn't do it without bouncing off the limiter.

I'll test it out when I spec my car.

It seems that our problem with the transmission is indeed a glitch. If you equip the transmission before or after installing the engine mods, you get different speeds. So thanks to PD for this one. I will have to do some testing this week and come up with a plan.

Sorry if it seems I jumped on you guys or made it seem like I thought you were cheating. Something wasn't right and I needed to figure out why.

With transmission fitted before the power parts, 3rd gear tops out at 139kph with 224kph top speed. With all of your specified power parts installed before the trans, 3rd gear tops out at 129kph with 209kph top speed. Then I tried removing the computer, sports exhaust, exhaust manifold and trans(leaving the cat &intake), then re-installed the trans followed by the rest of the power parts and got results roughly halfway between, 3rd gear tops out at 135kph with 218kph top speed.
