In the end endurance races in gt6 shouldn't last more than 6 hours. More than that is unrealistic
I wouldn't say so. Six hours or more sounds pretty standard to me in modern day endurance racing. It would be a misrepresentation of Endurance Racing if they were to
not include the multiple 24 hour events that take place year on year.
-Raise the grid count to 16.
I agree that this should have been present in GT5, because 16 was the maximum amount of cars on track that were available, but for future titles it should definitely be raised to at least above 20 cars for longer races. Otherwise it can feel awfully lifeless driving round a larger circuit and only encountering another driver once in a blue moon.
Its been a long time but if I remember correctly the 9 hour race in GT4 was on Motegi.
The race you're thinking of was the 8 hours of Twin Ring Motegi. The 9 hours of Tsukuba was still included, unfortunately.
This would brings me back to the original point of the thread, replacing the long, Tsukuba drag. They could quite easily implement more Endurance Races, new and old. On GT4 they managed to include many different races that took place over hundreds of kilometres, to thousands. There was even a Fuji 1000KM, where did that go?
I think if the Endurance Series are to be successful on GT6, there just needs to be more common sense. Day and Night transitions are a must now that we've got more real life tracks where bigger races are actually held, Daytona and Spa.
