NEW Member here, so I do NOT want to post bad information or in the wrong place. I do NOT have PS3/GT5P yet so don't know which tracks are available in that version. Is this competition for GT4??? Thank You.

Welome to GTPlanet mate :)

Yes this competition is only for GT4. Aparently all the competition in the ''Spot Races and Lap Times Comparisons'' is all only for GT4.

Thank You. I'll get to work on posting some times. Is there a deadline?

No problem mate ;)

No, no deadline for this one so you can post your laptimes whenever you want mate :) Read the first page for rules mate 👍

First two. I thought I knew of a "Sleeper" that would work well here but it's been downgraded so much since GT3 that it didn't work out.

#1 = 57.566 / Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec '99
#2 = 59.077 / Clio Renault Sport V6 24V '00

Have you given any thought to perhaps having two classes? Say, UNDER or OVER 500 HP? It might create some more interest. Thank You.

Hey that's a nice time mate :D

Yeah been thinking on doing two classes as you stated up there but most people only interested on doing the races in the ''Race Series'' section. The races in there are a lot more interesting... Why not if you have a try there mate ;)

Thank You. Just getting back into GT4 after a long hiatus. Trying a new view (Roof-Cam) in anticipation of GT5 having a "Cockpit-Cam". This comp is perfect, slick track & not too involved. I may get back into other racing soon.

Time #3 = 57.799 / Lotus Elise 111R '04. NO match for stidriver's Excellent time! I've got the Line but NOT the Speed.

Well should I say, welcome back to GT4 :D. Yeah I'm currently driving with a roof-cam because that's teh best place to drive for me. Unfortunately I wouldn't get my PS3 in thenext 2 years. The price here is too expensive!! Well If you like this competition, then it's going to be like this :) If you want to, you can make your own here ;).

Nice time you got there mate ;) Same here, I've got the line but no speed. I heard that they actually slides off the car through the corners to make the car a lot faster especially in wet. I don't know whether if it's actually true but I can't seem to get it work out.

I was in mood for some wet driving. As a M5 fan invincibleM5 you will like this one.

BMW M5 - stidriver - 53.940

WHOW!! That's bloody fast mate ... For sure I like it mate, that was a blistering lap! Faster than an SLR, even the R34! Fantastic one mate, I can't even work myself out how to get such a lap...

Ok slr 54'930. working on it from today. new time 54'572. VERY HARD TIME TO GET.

well gut it 53'707. ;) in the SLR

Ye Paddy mate, can I have a screenshot of that fast time? If you still have the replay try to capture the time or you can find it in the ''Rankings''. That time seems a little too fast for a McLaren eh?

Right then, well this certainly was a challenge, almost more than I bargained forwhen attempting it, but i managed to do a good time, with a somewhat different car. The car I chose to use was the Tommy kiara ZZ-S 2000 (I was going to use the ZZ-II but that is classified as a Concept car, not a Road car), Fully tuned and equiped with a spoiler.
However, I wanted more than just a decent time, so I attempted to get it to under a minute :dopey:

My target time: 1 Minute
My Record time: 0'59.400 :D

Car Settings:
Fully Tuned w/Turbo engine [including spoiler] = 353BHP
All weight-reduction kits equipped
R5 Tyres
Oil changed before time trials
TCS/ASM Aids at default

Downforce settings:
Front: 30 / Rear: 20

Gear ratio settings:
Auto setting 12, Final 4.300

Suspension Settings:
Spring Rate(kgt/mm): 4.0 F / 7.0 R
Ride Height(mm): 84 F / 79 R
Damper(both sides): 7.0 F / 7.0 R
Camber Angle: 2.0 F / 2.0 R
Toe Angle: -1 F / 1 R
Stabiliser: 3 on both front and rear

Other:
LSD: normal, except Initial Torque raised to 20
Weight balance: 50/50

Sorry if this post is a little too descriptive, but incase some people just want to be sure of the settings :)
[PS: I dont even know how LSD's work, even though i have the GT4 guidebook which explains it all ]

Quite a long post actually mate but that's owkey, we all loved detailed posts

Quite a good time there actually, and trust me with more effort with the car, the lower the time can be achieve there. Just need to keep the throttle and steering as nicely as possible and that could help mate.

From what I know, LSD is sort of like traction control which limits the slip of the wheels when you accelerate, descelerate and one more is torque something but it doesn't compromise your cornering speed like traction control ;) For further details, I think that book can help...

Yeah, right now im trying to do times with other cars as well for a bit of fun, got a Nissan Stagea 260RS AutechVersion to do 1'00:428 which is only slightly slower than my Callaway C12 time of 1'00:172 [both cars fully tuned and equiped with a spoiler for downforce settings]. I'm probably going to try and do the ZZ-S again after I get the black GT-One and R390 GT1 first :D

[And also for a bit of fun I used the same ZZ-S in one race of the dream car championship, it got 2nd on El Capitan against Ford GT and Nissan Z race cars . I didnt get first because my settings made the car too bumpy and I went wide a little too much, but still it was a lot of fun]

EDIT:
Well, I just tried out a fully tuned Shelby Series 1 Supercharged on the same track and my god was I suprised.
Record Time: 0'55.608
