Welcome to Week 11 of the Tourist Trophy Photo Mode Competition

This competition will run for approximately one week. Please submit your entry by Friday the 29th of June, 2007


Week 9 winner: Brock5000

Theme: Extreme Lean

Lay that puppy down into a corner as far as you dare!
I want to see sparks flying off the foot pegs and knees ground down to the bone!


Bikes: Any bike

Tracks: Any track

Entry requirements

• Only one entry may be submitted. It must be your own work. You may change this entry once. Please mark your Final entry as such.
• You must post your entry as either an thumbnail, or as a preview linked to the full image.
• Your Final Entry may be in standard 4:3 format or wide-screen 16:9 (press all four shoulder buttons in PhotoMode)
• Previews should be a maximum of 400 pixels along the longest side (400 x 300 for regular 4:3 format or 400 x 225 for widescreen 16:9)
• Please do not ask other members to choose your entry. Have confidence in your own skills and go with your favourite shot.

Image enhancement rules
(what you can and can't do in Photoshop etc.)

• You may adjust brightness, contrast and gamma values.
• You may rotate, crop and resize the image.
• You may add a border and signature to your entry.
• You may NOT adjust levels, hue, saturation, curves or sharpen the image.
• You may NOT use filters, blurs or layers on your entry.
• You may NOT add any elements to the original photo.

yeah, as long as the rider is still holding on to the handle bars. Doesn't matter if he didn't make it out alive

Thanks man. This is the hardest theme so far, im glad i pulled it off.

Does this considered ok for this competition?Or do i really need to have sparks flying in the pictures?

Your entry meets the theme, however the photo is rather pixellated. This could be the hosting site you are using, or you need to set the photo mode save option to 'super fine'

No you don't have to have sparks flying off the bike, just as long as it is leaning over a lot.

I really should buy TT so I can take more better shots, I think this shot has some alright lean in it though.
Especially since the rider's foot is in the road.

Thanks...With the lean angle of the rider set the way I did, it makes it look like he is trying to counter the angle by staying up right. Or he is just scared of hitting the pavement. 👍

Yes, that lean is indeed extreme!

However if you have the chance I think you could improve the overall look of the photo by cropping a bit of the bottom and right hand side, the bike is a bit too centred as is.
