Hell, going down the mountain to Jerome I was stuck behind a big flat bed truck that had plenty of room in our lane but decided to drive down the middle of the road so oncoming cars were forced to squeeze past. It was the worst driving I had seen from one of those in a long time.what a great state we live in![]()

I hate being in Casa Grande because nice drives take forever. But I went up through Wickenburg, Prescott to Jerome, then turned around and went back the same way. It was nice when I wasn't stuck behind anyone.Highway 89A between Prescott and Jerome, and then again between Sedona and Flagstaff, is probably my favorite road in the state. Sadly I can never convince myself to take up the especially twisty section between Prescott and Jerome lately, seeing as every time I've driven up there before, there's always been some oblivious Harley Davidson rider setting a disappointingly slow pace.
Looks great. Very good fitment and the colour goes very well with the car. Here's a couple better ones. Next purchase I think will be coilovers...

That sucks. 👎Looks great. Very good fitment and the colour goes very well with the car.
You guys are so lucky, you can just buy coilovers and install them. We here in NZ have to certify it which is an ~$800 exercise for just this one mod if that is all you are doing and when you do that it locks your ride height to +/- 5% and your wheel size gets noted down so you can't change them. A bit frustrating but I know why the system is there. Best to do all your mods and then get a cert when doing certain things here.
Update on this: apparently I have squeaky cooling fans. Time to break out the WD40.Maybe bad news update. I haven't mentioned it here but I have for a while been experiencing some hesitation under partial throttle acceleration, mainly 40-80% throttle. I thought I might have an exhaust leak at the manifold since I could hear the distinct "ticking" sounding that comes from such a leak when I would rev the car next to a wall. Told the dealership about it a couple times, they couldn't replicate the sound. (go figure) Well, I pulled the car into the garage last night and immediately after I shut it off, I could hear what I instantly recognized as the turbo impeller scraping on the turbo housing. So that might be the problem. I have an appointment for the 29th (soonest my schedule worked with theirs) and in the mean time I will put the stock intake back in just so they don't give me any hassle and try my best to keep it out of full boost. I'll update when I know anything more.
200 tread wear FTW.Those tires look pretty sporty.
Only with traction control on. Simple press of a button and you're good to go. For me it's more than being fast, nothing like an engaging drive with a manual.I'm surprised by the gap in times between the DCT and manual, does the Elantra Sport have the same issue as every other manual Hyundai/Kia I've driven where it momentarily cuts power once the clutch fully engages?
