This is what I've done so far more of just a maintenance thing than repair. This I find is a useful site save me writing down any pit falls.

Note the section at the start "Replacing a defective Blu-ray drive with a replacement requires swapping the Blu-ray drive board from the old drive onto the replacement." Ade did make mention to this in his post.

Hope you get it fixed ok just shout if I can help in any way.

No Phil. I've seen various YouTube tutorials about it, so shouldn't go far wrong with my spanners. :D

Any luck Gary?

I cant tonight. Hoping to get some track time tomorrow and Thursday, as I really need it. Ran a few laps last night in practice, and am well off the pace. I wont get on until about 8.30pm as I have other early evening obligations, but Thursday I should be on for a few hours from that time, as no work on Friday.👍👍👍

Im gonna try and join, but got some unexpected issues to sort out, so I may not make practice tonight. If I get done I will. If not see you at the race tomorrow.

Well pleased I managed to make it, great fun. Really happy I managed to get into the 52's in the last race. Looking forward to tomorrows race. 👍👍👍

Thanks for your tips and patience tonight guys (much appreciated, such a helpful bunch!) , really been struggling to learn this track, but I did somehow manage a 1.53.5 after everyone else had left and I did 4 more laps on my own. But I'm very tired now so I'm going to have to knock it on the head for the eve. That's as good as of gonna get before the race tomorrow!

See you then! :)

Kev

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL, FOR TONIGHT'S RACE

Man I've not had the time to even do one lap, very sorry, I'll join at the back out the way and learn as I go, be there in a minute. :nervous:

The Race.
Big thanks to Gary for a great combo and all you racers that joined in the fun.
For me its was to go the whole way without pitting and to make my attack on Gary in the final eight laps.
Gary built a 5 second lead over the first fifteen laps but I stuck to my strategy by looking after my tyres.
In the last stages of the race I saw that I had just a little bit more grip than Gary and closed him down to a second on the last lap. The pressure was on, and on the last lap in the forth sector Gary ran a bit wide knowing that this will be my only chance. But it was not to be, Gary managed to hold and keep the lead. But there was one more opportunity for me in the last sector, bumper to bumper in the final corner but I started to drift a bit and finish second, two thousands behind Gary. I'm sure my sugar levels dropped because I was shaking after the race with so much adrenaline rushing through me. Awesome race and well done Gary.
