Dont forget to break cars in before practice tomorro guys or atleast change the oil.:)

Translation: The Formula had a 305 Cubic Inch V8 engine with a 4 barrel carburetor, which sucked the big one. Now, it has a 350 Cubic Inch V8 with 4 bolts holding the main bearing caps in place instead of 2. And it has better (Fuelie) cylinder heads and a Holley 650 cfm (cubic feet per minute) carburetor and Performer RPM Intake manifold with a flat tappet .501 lift on the intake valve and .510 lift on the exhaust valve cam shaft and 1.6 roller type rocker arms. The heads need to be upgraded to vortec cylinder heads though.

That should be pretty close.

I'm impressed, I did'nt know you had that in you.:sly:
He is right on the money.👍

Hehe! I bought my 70 Road Runner when I was 15 years old. My parents wouldn't let me drive it on the street, so I drove it up and down my driveway until I got my license.

I overhauled the 383 it came with and later put in a 440 with 2 650 cfm four barrels on it. They are vacuum secondaries so I had to get a Holley balance tube kit with softer springs to get them to open at the correct time.

I managed to find a low rise 2 four barrel intake off of a racing boat motor. It is awesome, it fits under the hood perfectly. The pistons are 9.5 compression but with steel head gaskets they are 9.9. Perfect for the street.

It has a Crane .552 intake .528 exhaust cam. I forget the duration. Hydraulic lifters and adjustable rocker arms. I put a high volume oil pump and windage tray in it as well.

It has an aluminum water pump with a 50% under driven lower pulley and an electric fan motor. Which is totally awesome for tuning. You can hear the motor so much better and you didn't have to worry about that damn flex steel fan blade.

I had to put a 4 core radiator in it to keep it cool. But not because of the under driven pulley or electric fan. I had the 727A automatic transmission rebuilt with a reverse (change the shifting order) manual valve body and 3500 stall convertor. It chirps every gear no matter how much gas you are giving it.

It has 3.5 inch Centerlines in front and 9.5 inch Centerlines in the back. I manged to get a nice set of 2 ply M&H race masters in the wheel wells though. I also added a battery in the trunk kit.

And the rear end is an 8 3/4 with 4.56 posi track gears. The Dana rear ends came with manual transmission cars. I use 50/50 shocks in the rear with a set of Mopar super stock springs and 90/10 shocks up front.

It has an awesome set of 2 1/4 Hooker headers with 3" straight through racing mufflers. It was a bitch to find someone who would inspect it. But the only street racing I would do was street tires, mufflers, and a state inspection. And the stories the back seat could tell you can't be discsussed here!

That thing should be pretty quick. Have you ever had to the local strip? If so what kinda times does she run?

The local strip at the time only had 1080 feet (who knows why). It ran 10 something with street tires. But, that was before the 2 1/4 Hooker headers, 4.56 gears, underdriven pulley, electric fan, and 2 four barrels. It had the original 2 stage cast iron intake with a 750 Holley double pumper and 1 3/4 headers at the time. The car had at least 100 more HP after the upgrades I mentioned. At that point I was afraid to run it with slicks without tying the frame together. But, I wasn't worried about that with street tires.

Didn't want to start at top of new page without the image.

Back to the topic nerds, :) what's the contingency for more than 16 people racing tomorrow?

Who goes where? Do we all go for the division room 2 room first, then move people around?

ATM I think we are at 23'ish people registered, and haven't seem to notice many people saying they won't be here.

Psn id is krobyle. Is #14 available? Black car black rims?

Welcome krobyle, to the Turtle Racing League - Enduro Racing Series. To make your experience here an enjoyable one, we expect all drivers to follow "The Golden Rule of Motorsports".

The “Golden Rule” of Motorsports - “It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free.”

The reason “The Golden Rule of Motorsports” is the first thing you read when you get to Turtle Racing League and again when you sign up to join us, is that if you do not believe this rule applies to you, then this league is not for you.

Turtle Racing League is a casual, fun, and clean racing league. Therefore, you are encouraged to read and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1. It is the policy of this league (except Division X) for you to hold your position in turn 1 and not try to improve it. We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for others.

Please accept the PSN Turtle friend requests when they are sent to you. If you haven't already done so, you may (optional) choose a unique (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination. You will also need to choose a unique car number for cars with number plates.

Thank you for joining our league, we look forward to racing with you!

Sincerely, Turtle Racing League

We will all meet in div. 2 then split into gruops according to divisions if we have to.
I would have you infinital go with div.3, I would go with div.A, and we would normally have martin stay in div.1. since martin and psycho are'nt going to be available this saturday we would probably just divide into 2 groups and have at it. I know I forgot div.2 but we would have mic or someone else in div.2 steward that lounge, or just add 1 and 2 together just depends on how many show up.

I would like to join and my roommate as well.

As it looks right now, why don't we do 2 rooms

Mbobb=Division 1 & 2 =Division 2 room With Martin & Psycho not there that's 14
Me=Division A & 3 =Turtle_Town room That's 9, and I can take any spill over from your room.

I think splitting to three rooms might have it to sparse in some rooms, but it's however you want to do it. Maybe tonight tomorrow early we send PMs to everyone one what room they should join.

Then before the race I can monitor this thread for people that can't get in and tell them which room to join.

Sound good?

we should see how many actually show up first. Not many folks are posting that they will be there tomorrow yet and the practice wasn't very full. do you honestly believe more than 16 will show up?

13 last week and 12 the week prior it appears.
