How to join the Turtle Racing League - FLEX Racing Series

Step 1: Post your request to join along with your PSN ID in this thread. Also choose and include a unique (refer to drivers list) car and wheel color combination. You will also need to choose a unique car number for cars with number plates. Colors selection will be on a first come, first served basis.

Step 2: Accept the friend requests you are sent which will include our TURTLE_Town lounge that is to be used for practice, testing, free run, or casual pick up races.

Step 3: Purchase and break in your car(s) then change the oil. Do not tune them in any way. Races are "Tuning Prohibited" however, the "Tuning Prohibited" filter allows for changing brake balance, torque split, and engine limiter.

Step 4: Join the TURTLE_DivisionX Lounge on Friday night at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific

Overview

The Turtle Racing League Anniversary Championship is a Full Day of Racing in Celebration of the 1 Year Anniversary of the Turtle Racing League. The Anniversary Championship will be held on Saturday June 29, 2013 starting at 2pm Eastern. The Championship will consist of 5 race events representing the inaugural race of each of our 5 Racing Series.

Format

• Five (5) - Full Length Series Events

• Racing Begins at 2pm Eastern / 11am Pacific

• Race in any or all races - It's up to you

Structure

5 Races representing the inaugural race in each of our 5 Racing Series. 20 Points for 1st place in each series race for a possible 100 points. There will be a 30 minute break between series race events. The will be 15 minute breaks between 45 minute races and 10 minute breaks between 30 minute races. We will use additional lounges for overflow in series events without divisions.

Tie Breakers

The Pole and Fast Lap will be used as tie breakers. However, the Pole will take precedence over the Fast Lap

Great racing last night. 👍 That first race I had a great battle with RacingOtaku and hjhr (and Martin before the unfortunate pit road incident ) for most of the race. And in the 2nd race, Martin and I duked it out pretty hard before I got a (what I'd consider a bogus ) penalty coming to 2 to go. I think it would have been one heck of a finish.

I blew my starting pole position going into the first turn to hot on cold tires in that first race(rookie mistake). Going from first to last within 10 seconds of start is never a good thing. With you guys battling up front I was able to catch up pretty quick. I wasn't thinking about pitting on lap 14 due to having plenty of tire left, but you guys did and that caught me off guard slamming into you(my bad). The rest of race 1 Psycho got to see me quite a bit . I was surprised to be in the position I was in in the second race and would liked to see how it would have ended. As it was I'll take the win and relish my first and probably last win with ABS off. More GT500 this weekend as well!

Woo!!! I have 57,000 game stop points. Guess ill be preordering from there and getting the 20 cars! Glad I banked those up.

Yea the paint chip system sucks. It just slows down the ps3 once you get so many. Should just have a preselected amount of paints for every car.

Race 1 was great, Race 2... I don't want to talk about Race 2. I'm sure PSYCHO-TUBER would LOVE to talk about it (I kid, of course). All I'll say is that it was not my finest moment, and even though there was no harm done (and no penalties beside letting him pass), it was spirit crushing for me. I couldn't bring myself to pass him again after that... It was as bad as my performance at Deep Forest with the Cappuccino RM... Still haunts me every now and then.

Well I'm pleased with my performance today. This was the first flex race that I didn't constantly spin out. I even managed to get the pole position with Drex in the lobby. Only spun out 1 time and not sure how. Now I have to work on my track awareness.

Good racin guys. I'll hopefully be in Tyro tonight.
