TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - NURBURGRING Racing Series - ACCEPTING MEMBERS

If you would have had to make just one more pit stop I might have had you. Here is the tire wear chart.

Tire Wear

Comfort Tires - Very Fast
Sports Tires - Fast
Racing Tires - Normal

So yes, there will be fast tire wear this week.

Thanks. I should have read that part. :boggled:

2nd Place: Dolph Drago (Fast Lap - 6:31.009)
3rd Place: Psycho-Tuber (Fast Lap - 6:32.466 - Pole)
4th Place: ph1sher (Fast Lap - 7:09.539)

littleregret265 - DNF

Race Recap

Congratulations to micantony for the win! micantony ran a great race and had a blistering fast lap time of 6:29.910. Wow! Dolph Drago wasn't far behind considering the length of the race. In fact, he was just a couple of seconds back at the beginning of the last lap, but he had a little trouble early in the lap and could not catch micantony. Dolph finished in 2nd Place. Psycho-Tuber finished in 3rd Place while have some audio issues and trouble getting into the Nordschleife pit entrance. The problem turned out to be the race was on the 24hr track and not the Nordschleife. Doh! Ph1sher is getting pretty good with his wheel and already is pretty good at Nurburgring. He just needs to put the two together. Ph1sher finished a couple of laps back in 4th Place. Congratulations on another great Nürburgring race guys!

Nice recap, only 3 weeks behind... Seriously, I know you are pretty busy and those race reports take some time. That Nardo race sure was fun, though.

Honestly, I practice and race so often I can't keep straight what happened in what race so I have to go back and watch the replay and do the recap right afterwards.

I can see how that can get confusing pretty quickly. Are you driving in all 5 series right now?

The man that loves to race. Ohh and kill zombies. lol

Yes, I love to race! I play Black Ops II online though. It's rough and I usually get killed about twice as many times as I kill someone. I am an average player, but I still enjoy it every once in a while. :)

Going to be going into tomorrow's race with no practice (assuming I can make it). :scared: This should be interesting.

And that was with almost no practice? Still a runaway victory pretty much. Good racing tonight

If you give me a couple of laps of practice, I'm usually good to go. Just need some laps to get used to whatever car I would happen to be driving that day. I'm certainly no alien, far from it in fact (I finished 2nd in an enduro race in the Flex series at the Indy road course and still got lapped by Choate), but I've always naturally been pretty good at racing games. Not sure what it is. Give me a game like MLB the Show, though, and I absolutely suck.

It looked like you and Scorpion had a good battle going at the end of the race. But I think he ran out of fuel. And those first 5 laps or so, there were great battles for 1st and 3rd. If only we could figure out the fuel issue with it set to fast. Taking OVER 2 1/2 times the fuel it recommended didn't work for me near the end. It was nuts.

we just need to do a few practice laps and test how much fuel is burned per lap and post it here before each race; that would help everyone when we're running on FAST fuel/tire wear races.

Or as an alternative, post how much fuel we'll all need to add to get to the finish (by doing the math here in advance). Every car starts with 100 Liters.

Yeah there were a few good battles in the beginning and end of the race. I was trying not to screw up too bad in front and I'm almost certain Scorpion would have found an opening if he hadn't run out of fuel. I just make a cycle of laps in practice to find out how much fuel I use every lap or two, so I generally don't get in trouble with the refuel system. I need to spend more time just driving the car though, cause I made way too many mistakes in that race.

Hey littleregret265, you did great at the beginning of the race. That was a nice pass you made when I touched the sand. 👍

Thanks, Psycho, I was really trying to pace myself there. It's just that entire middle of the race portion I need to work on

Usually when a driver fades after the 1st few laps it is because he has burned up his tires. Do your best to keep them from getting red. A slow in fast out approach should solve that problem.

I voted for the Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R, but its probably going to be the Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car '94.

Ooh, the calibra? Me gusta. I like that car quite a bit already. Hopefully I can make it work come Sunday. Have fun at practice!

Does it matter which iteration of the Calibra we use (Opel Vs Vauxhall)? Because I am seeing slight differences in performance (statistically, have not tried on track) for the two cars

it's the Calibra Super Touring Car '94

i believe the Opel version is called something different and has different specs.

So in short, it's the Vauxhall.

Like you said, they are very close but not identical. Therefore, only the Vauxhall may be used. You shouldn't have a problem getting one because it is in the "OCD".
