Thanks everyone! Can't wait to race with y'all!

Yeah, you too! Little factoid: the upcoming 'Burg race with the Lutecia/Clio Trophy RC, was my idea. One day, in Turtle Town (I think), we were cruising about after a race, I chose Nurb GP/F as a track, and tried that car there. When I said, "Hey, this car works around here. You guys should try it out." The rest is history. For a MR car, it's pretty quick.

What's the dealio if we can't find the car in our color?

Just race with whatever color you happen to have.

I hope I can make the race tomorrow. I've got a family get-together and am hoping I get back home in time for the race. If I can't, good luck to everyone racing and have fun. :)

Turtle Racing League - Simply The Best!

Sunday's race was interesting. I was going to attempt a 1 stop strategy, but it didn't quite work out as planned with the fuel situation. After hitting the halfway point (lap 17), I came in for my stop. Without looking at how much fuel my crew was going to put in my car, I automatically accepted the number, as I knew I could make it with whatever they decided to give me. It was after that way-too-fast pit stop that I realized the error. Fast fuel consumption =/= same amount of gas put in by the crew as under normal conditions. I was going to need another pit stop. With 16 remaining after the stop, I came in after 8 laps to maximize the effectiveness of my tires. I put in more fuel than I thought I would need to get to the finish. Upon leaving my pit stall, I quickly realized that there STILL wasn't going to be enough fuel to make it to the finish. :banghead: So I came in for a third time with 4 to go. I put in an even larger amount, thinking there was no way I couldn't possibly make it. Again, immediately after leaving pit road, I saw it was going to be extremely close. There was no way I was going to make it if I went full out for those last 4 laps. So after babying it for the last stint, I finally made it home. After what should have been a simple 1 stop race, I ended up pitting 3 separate times. My saving grace was I think everyone else had the some of the same fuel issues, as well.

I will have to keep in mind to put 2 1/2 times the normal fuel in the car for pit stops for these types of races. Thanks for that tidbit, Psycho. 👍

That was a really fun little car to throw around. I cost myself a few seconds by not putting any fuel in my 1st pit stop. I mentioned to Dolph that I put in 2 1/2 times the recommended fuel when the tire/fuel is set to fast. The problem was that it didn't recommend any. 2 1/2 x 0 = 0

how many raced? Too bad i missed this one, it was a fun little car.

Spent the day in Helen, Ga with the family and hiked to Anna Ruby Falls.

I was exhausted by the time we got home and put the kiddies to bed.

It was just Psycho, littleregret265, hyper600/I-800-I-LOVE-YOU, and myself. And hyper600 had to bail before the finish. Despite the fuel debacle, it was still a fun car to drive. Cool pictures, by the way. That waterfall looks sweet.

Hey, Psycho, are the tire and fuel going to be set to fast again this week?

If you would have had to make just one more pit stop I might have had you. Here is the tire wear chart.

Tire Wear

Comfort Tires - Very Fast
Sports Tires - Fast
Racing Tires - Normal

So yes, there will be fast tire wear this week.

Wow mic that looks like a cool place, very nice pics.
I wish our trees had leaves on them already. Looks like summer there.

2nd Place: Dolph Drago (Fast Lap - 6:31.009)

4th Place: ph1sher (Fast Lap - 7:09.539)

littleregret265 - DNF

Race Recap

Congratulations to micantony for the win! micantony ran a great race and had a blistering fast lap time of 6:29.910. Wow! Dolph Drago wasn't far behind considering the length of the race. In fact, he was just a couple of seconds back at the beginning of the last lap, but he had a little trouble early in the lap and could not catch micantony. Dolph finished in 2nd Place. Psycho-Tuber finished in 3rd Place while have some audio issues and trouble getting into the Nordschleife pit entrance. The problem turned out to be the race was on the 24hr track and not the Nordschleife. Doh! Ph1sher is getting pretty good with his wheel and already is pretty good at Nurburgring. He just needs to put the two together. Ph1sher finished a couple of laps back in 4th Place. Congratulations on another great Nürburgring race guys!

That's awesome looking. I used to love hiking with my dad when I was a kid, now my wife hates the outdoors in the summer. One of my favorite places to hike is about 10 minutes from my house called the Cumberland Falls, it's the only place in the world that has a moonbow. It's basically a white rainbow when a full moon is out. Very big tourist attraction.
