Thanks for such a great turnout! Sorry I missed all the chatting in the forum, but it seems to have all worked out. Now, we just need some more Division A racers.

I would have loved to of been there. Sounds like there was quite a few people tonight. Maybe that's a good indication for Saturday night!

I'll be on about 530 AM EST in turtle town if anyone wants to practice with me for about an hour. I think I might try out 0 abs to see I can up my lap times.

Yea I had it all worked out and then comcast relized that there was'nt a junction box on our new house, and of course then you have to get a technician out there to install the junction box and then its just a mess.:grumpy:

I know your pain. It kills me every week when I can't race or practice due to work. Plus, my job is boring and I'm always on GTP, which doesn't help any.

Yeah, i enjoyed the practice. It's too bad we don't have too many Division A guys yet.

Just a thought, but has anyone considered changing the setup for Division 1, so the two divisions can run races together? For example, give them a weaker tire for the race? If Division A is set to Racing Hard, then Division 1 runs Sport Hard (or whatever would be comparable for that particular car/track that week).
It could allow for some interesting races and have some full races possibly.
It would take a bit more testing, but down the road it might be a fun way to do it.
Again, just an idea.
The series is set up for new/inexperienced racers right? so Division A should be able to win the overall races and then let Division 1 fight it out for their spots; sort of inverse to how it works when we usually run together.
 
Sorry I missed practice last night. Life just caught up with me again. I thought I'd throw in my two cents though....

I think micantony's suggestion is brilliant. Most of the division 1 racers will have the Enduro series later that night to fight out for our wins. I like having the incentive to be a beginner in division A actually fighting for a race win. This also forces the division 1 drivers to step up their game with tougher tires while teaching beginners to make passes in traffic. Seems like a win/win... Just my thoughts.
 
It is always fun to race together. It may work like the Special Class Races we have in the Enduro and F1 Series.
 
Sounds like a great idea Mic! The only thing I kind of dont like about it is in the second race the slower drivers will be at the front and the faster in the back, so they may slow you down a bit, depends on what happens either way that's a good idea! Either way also, great format for beginners and racing! See you on the track soon!
 
Good point Ph1sher, but I still think micantony is on to something. I think this would also take thorough testing. Maybe instead try horsepower restrictions and and make everyone in Division 1 set their cap at 80 percent? Braking distances would be close to the same instead of some of the long distances the harder compounds of tires would have.

Mic and Scarecrow are both onto something here(the more in the room the better). I like the ideas and as for having the reverse grid newer racers ending up in the back in race 2. Thats a perfect chance for them to watch the faster guys lines, and also work on their racing/overtaking skills being that they would have a faster car and plenty of oportunities.

That would be a good learning experience for sure. Plus all the new drivers will get a confidence boost when they pass me while I'm off checking the grass for pot holes on one of my off roading escapades. That's going to be my signature move. I'll start my own tv series, itsAllAboutMowing.

I was watching the f1 practice and someone was talking about using headphones and how the sound helps you so much. I think it was psycho. I want to buy a pair. Any help and recommendations would be great. Right now I just have surround sound but I also want to keep volume down at night so I don't wake up kids.

I have turtle beach headsets that are wired so they never run out of battery, when I race I put them almost full volume and can litterly hear everything the car is doing, headset also very comfortable. I got mine for $60. Others here probably have more advanced headsets that are awesome as well.
 
On the subject of headphones, is there a USB adapter to use these, or is it specific USB interfaced headphones? I have a beats by dre headphone with mic that I'd love to use, but it's got the standard 1/8" plug.

The P11s use the rca jacks and a usb.
 
Got the x21 tonight. Wow. These are pretty amazing for $80. It's like you are way more immersed in the car now. Thanks for whoever was recommending using headphones. Incredible difference.

Amazing headsets, I have those. It may be a little expensive but its well worth the $80 enjoy the headsets you will love them

I have the g27 and Logitech doesnt make wheels anymore, I think if I was you I would get it soon as possible before they run out, I got mine a week or 2 ago. Definaly amazing! From what I heard the the owners of gt5 said some stuff that gt6 would go on ps3 as the last gt on ps3 then gt7 on ps4, but who knows what happens I'm hoping it stays on ps3. As of rig. I built a wooden rig still use it! Very sweet but the chair I use can be uncomfortable at points, but I'm getting a evolution playseat for gt5 so its more comfortable, amazon said its estimated to get to me by Monday, which would be nice since then I can start fresh off during that week instead of like on Saturday or something like that.

Just some advice if I were you. See you on the track this weekend hopefully!

I think I'll go with the CNT simulator they have the deal for on here and also a g27.
