Twin Ring Motegi!?

Wait....are those Laguna Seca's ads in the top right corner?

Its the ads on the oval I'm sure.

I love twin Motegi in forza, would be cool to get it in GT5, to told the truth, any track would be nice as long as it's not an oval.

This^^

The only DLC track i have enjoyed is spa, the others while nice to have didn't exactly keep me coming back to them as i just didn't find them enjoyable especially route X.

GT5 already has over a thousand cars so PD should focus more on tracks than cars for DLC in my opinion and even tho motegi has never really been that high up on my list of good tracks i'm really excited to hopefully have a new track to drive around and as i haven't played on motegi since gt4 i have pretty much forgotten the layout which will make it even more fun learning it all again.

It's still not Midfield Raceway but any new circuit to the game is awesome news! :)

My prediction is that we'll get a large update to the game at the end of the Academy that will enable us to transfer over the cars we won in the GT Academy mini-game and maybe bring along with it some further enhancements and improvements to GT5.
Along with that update, I predict that we'll get some DLC, which will include Twin Ring Motegi and all of its variations and maybe some new vehicles. I don't think that we'll get the circuit for free just because it was in the Academy mini-game; I think it'll be part of a separate pack.

Looking at GTPlanet's Feedback Forum, the top 5 circuits that the fans want are (in order of most votes): Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos Circuit in Brazil), Bandimere Speedway (a drag strip in Morrison, Colorado, USA), Pikes Peak, Bathurst (will be in GT6 so I will discount that one), Infineon Raceway, Silverstone and Seattle Circuit. Twin Ring Motegi isn't even on the first page. However, PD have their reasons (Gran Turismo Cafe at the circuit) and bringing a great circuit like TRM to GT5 is just awesome!! Thanks so much, PD! :)

There's an oval layout to Motegi, too :D

Yeah Best Motor TV (the tv emission that followed Best Motoring) did test the new gtr, a porsche gt2 and a lamborghini there. I dont really mind if a variation of the track we get is an oval, as long as it's not an oval alone ^^

I always found Motegi very Mickey Mouse in GT4. Fortunately I never play on my PS3 so if it is in I won't be there complaining about it.

Spa and Route X were the only DLC tracks that have come out so far.

I hope this is the next DLC. That was one of the best tracks in GT4.

See how much hype this one rumor has created? IMO we shouldve received most gt4 tracks at release and 18 months out be hyping new content to the franchise.

SPA is great with high HP cars, more mid-low HP car tracks are needed in the game.

If in fact the track is to be used on the GT Academy there's no reason why we shouldn't get it for GT5. All the work is done and everything is adapted to work on the GT5 platform. So the track's development is already paid for by Nissan, why should we pay for it again? At the end of the day this whole GT Academy thing is nothing more than a publicity stunt and adverticement, so why should we pay for that?

This.

I would also like some smaller, less well known tracks like Willow Springs and Thunder Hill. The track that the V8 Supercars were at this past weekend also looks like crazy fun. (Perth)

I wasn't justifying, I was predicting. ;)

It made for some awesome pictures in Photo Mode!

I forgot just how mind-blowingly amazing GT4's graphics were! :)

SSRX is in gtacadamy, yet we still have to pay to use it in gt5. We will have to pay for anything new IMO, Except the cars.

I don't believe its from GT5.
Look at the edge of the track in the OP picture. It's too "Jagged" and doesn't have enough Polygons? either way, what I'm trying to say is the graphics aren't smooth enough to be GT5.
Where are the GT logos? I think this is probably from GT4 or something with similar graphics, NOT GT5.
I wish it is from GT5 but I'm not convinced.
I'm not a pessimist or anything but; it's always good to not have our hopes up about future DLC from PD :P

It is from GT5. Kaz just replied to a tweet about it.

lol "Good question!"

So very not definite to most people, but he wouldn't have replied (in english) to that tweet had it not been important enough. I don't think it was a coincidence that he replied and made all those tweets just one day after GTP made it known on the main page.

All tracks in GT5 are like that actually. In fact most things circular in GT5 you will notice a lot of straight lines like that since it requires a lot of 'juice' from the PS3 to produce a really smooth circular line.

The technology still isn't really there to create proper, round, circular lines.

Rounded edges are still made up of loads of tiny little straight lines, therefore causing them to look jagged.

It's not the PS3 itself, it's current graphics capabilities. Soon, games will rid themselves of jagged edges. :)
