Well, that'd be the perfect project car!

Doug, you think wrongness!
A very 1988 Mazda 121:

Also, the lifter problem might not have been a recall, it could have just been a selected few...

You missed my point - it was that your car and the Festiva/121 were built at the same time. Honestly, they look as if from different eras - not a good thing when relating to compact cars!

You said that the Pride began in the '90s, Doug?

Since when did Racing Hart C5s become race wheels?

If this thing is still similar to what it was 5 years ago, it's running a Prelude engine.

Right. I've seen that car before, it's LJ Garcia's old project car, (he's now building a 4 door Civic with an Acura 1.6EL front end, or something like that; Another total waste of money and time.) it never moved a wheel under its own power.

You can't beat a Viper in an "all motor" Civic/Integra, all motor meaning that the engine doesn't benefit from any boost whatsoever. From what i can see, 4 cars in that crew are "all motor" the others are turbocharged. And 2 of those 4 cars look like dedicated drag racers.

But they're nice looking.

Anybody notice his plate? Does that say something about the cars performance?

Anybody else notice that Sparxxx posted two on the same pictures? What does that say about him?

TRUST me they beat a viper with an allmotor type R.. its the yellow one... and its not full on drag when they raced...

Unless that Viper was running on 5 cylinders, i don't believe it. It's really, really hard to get more than 220-240 hp without a turbocharger, and that kind of power will only net you a mid 12 second timeslip, on slicks, and with a gutted interior... and Vipers do high 11s bone stock.

Either that or the driver of the Viper was an utter jack*ss.

well m5 i will now respond to your statement, rice is an attitude, mainly displayed by the driver, normally an uneducated high school kid who thinks he knows all about cars, when he in fact knows nothing. some cars are built for show, that does not make them rice, or ricey. rice is when someone rolls a stock honda civic with fart cannon muffler, and hubcaps and he thinks that he can outrun anything on the planet just bec. he has been watching to many freakin movies, that my friend is rice. oh and the issue on the tag, maybe it H82LOSE, bec. he doesn't like losing when he goes to shows, maybe it has nothing to do with the perfomance of the car, did you ever think of that!!!!! that is all have a good night!

my concept of rice is pretty simple

when you put parts on the car jjust for the sake of putting it on and not using it, that's rice.

it can be as simple as suspension. you don' tneed "better handling" on the streets...when are you ever going to come even REMOTELY close to the max limit of the stock suspension on a car, rarely if ever.

so if one puts upgraded suspension..i kinda hope the guy's tracking his car, that's why he needs the upgrade.

rice is a MENTALITY. you can have all the go fast parts on your car, but if you ain't using em as they are designed, u'r rice.

i mean, come on.. if i've personally seen a stock EP sedan and a beat up AE92 stock sedan take it out onto a track and actually SURVIVE, don't tell me another car w/ upgraded brakes and suspension won't survive just cuz it's got **** tires. (as an example)

James, you just reminded me that I have a Renault Laguna HO scale electric track car that I need to fix. Seriously. :)

Decept - Yea, right. He wasted all of that money to make something that looks pretty junky just to win shows? I doubt he does. It's rice. Complete rice. Just look at those highly stupid headlight covers. That's one of the dumbest things I've ever seen.

I'd love to race it down a street with speed bumps, just to see what would happen. It would probably make me crash because I was laughing so hard.

If a car is made to look like that and can actually go as fast as it looks, then fine. If not, it's pointless and silly. Of course, the best ones are the normal looking ones that have had loads of money put into the performance, like my friend's Range Rover with some TVR bits in it. Or just buy a better car - with all the money spent on making a Civic look like that you could probably afford to buy and run an Impreza, say, or an RX7.

Still, they provide entertainment for the rest of us. It's fun to mock them and laugh.

If it only looks fast and is trying to intimidate people, that is one form of rice.

If they tried to make a nice looking showcar but it ended up being ugly (since they over did it or what have you), that is another form of rice.

Its really funny watching a bunch of FF cars trying to intimidate a Camaro SS Twin Turbo . The Camaro was a block and a half away from them within a few seconds lol (I have a link to the vid if anyone wants it, 22mb). They two guys in the Camaro smoke a few stangs, other camaro's and imports. Everything really...

once again that all goes back to the attitude of the driver, if it's just for show and you know that, then no it's not rice, but if they think that it is something that it is not then, yeah, call it rice all you want. all you gearheads are giving me a migrane!!:banghead: :banghead:, and as for you roo, if your car is set up to race then i'd like to see you race it down a street with speed-bumps too, bec. yours would be just as messed up as theirs!! think about what you say b4 you say it!!
