Does he fall on his bum?

No. I was just saying that in all the highlight clips and stuff on google video, the goals are all of the goalie falling back on his ass. Same thing happens in WE9 a lot.

That, however, was an awesome goal and a great attempt at a save.

Chelsea - out oh dear
Rangers - out
Liverpool - soon to go out ;).

I'm only surprised Chelsea scored, I'm afraid.

Tough on Rangers though - they didn't lose in either game or overall.

I don't think Liverpool will go out, but I DO think Real will tonk Arsenal tomorrow. Three or four nil.

I'm struggling to find a British team to cheer for in Europe. I hate them all for different reasons - but not as much as I hate Newcastle.

Yeah, out of the three that were in it until tonight, I'd prefer Arsenal to win because despite being a Man U fan and hating them, I hate Liverpool more and Arsenal do play some very attractive football, they have good attacking play which is entertaining. As for Chelsea, theres some class players in that team but Drogba for instance, come on, the man falls on the floor holding his face every time someone makes contact. Robben is totally one footed, you can predict which way he'll turn all the time and if you keep the right side of him he's ou of the game simple as. I don't like Chelsea, they're becoming the new object of hatred I think, Man U were it, still are to a lot of people, but I think the mantle is being passed to them. And I love to hate them.

I don't currently hate Chelsea, but if they sign Michael Ballack, one of the biggest cheats ever to pull on a football shirt (and considering he comes from Klinsmann-land, that's quite some feat) I most certainly will.

I'd like to shoot Ballack in the knees.

 I'm not huge Ballack fan either. But Chelsea already has cheats (as do most teams I have to admit), not as bad as Ballack maybe, but like I said, Drogba's always diving looking for free kicks, and Terry is their second goalie, though Terry isn't consistent, he just got away with it a couple of times close together. I do think Terry is a very good player overall, but I don't raet Drogba, Crespo is by far the better striker. If Chelsea were a so, so side in the middle of the table though I probably wouldn't hate them, but they're not, they're the team we have to beat, though I don't see that happening this season.

Liverpool - soon to go out ;).

Do I detect a hint of jealousy that Man U went out ages ago? And let's not forget, went out soooo badly that they didn't even get the consolation of a UEFA cup spot!

The last time Liverpool were eliminated at the group stage at least they went on to win the UEFA cup! :)

Hope you're enjoying your Cardboard, er...I mean Carling Cup! :sly:

Yes, quite surprised indeed. Especially when their top scorer in the competition is their central defender. They never looked like scoring in either game, both goals coming fortuitously. Last nights "penalty" was a joke.

Rangers and Bremen were very unlucky, agreed.

Liverpool might squeak in, but thanks for the chuckle on the Arsenal score.

Jealousy, no, downright bitter rival hatred of the club, you bet.

I feel the same way about Man U, although my wife is from Hale, and a lifelong fan! :yuck: It's her only failing though! 👍

What worries me now is, that without the distractions of Champions League or the FA cup, there's very little we'll be able to do about stealing 2nd place in the Premier League from you. I need United to become Untied in a big way again, although your reputation for scoring injury time winners is even starting to rub off on the opposition, and they're scoring them for you nowadays! :banghead:

Haha, I like that 👍.

thanks for the chuckle on the Arsenal score.

Arsenal's only chance is if they play Ashley Cole. None of the Real players will want to mark him too closely or tackle him, in case they catch "the gay" off him.

*gets sued*

1-0 to Benfica, 0-0 at Highbury but Real have come close to scoring.

Not as close as Arsenal have!

Reyes - you spanner!

Anyone noticed how Real Madrid started with more English players than Arsenal did, in England..Arsenal should just be renamed France or something..

Not long to go, I think it's safe to say bye to Liverpool and it looks like Arsenal might make it, ofcourse Real only have to score 1 goal and that would mean extra time so it could very well go either way, but theres not long to go.

EDIT: 2-0 to Benfica and almost into extra time, it's over. I couldn't have thought of a better team to knock Liverpool out ;).

Why did Real only start playing in the 87th minute?

Muppets.

Why did Real only start playing in the 87th minute?
Because they have been watching too much ManU :P

Well, Arsenal are the only Premiership team through, ironic no :D

Progressing from here will be tough. The Italian teams look unstoppable, so hopefully we'll get Villereal or something.

Haha. Losing against Benfica? At Home?

Wow, what a game. My heart was pounding the whole way through.

I'm a bit dissapointed that we didn't score a goal, we really should have.

The save by Lehman from Raul was sensational. I thought that ball would be in the net.

I hate ITV.

On tuesday, ITV1 is showing Chelsea Barcelona and ITV4 has Rangers Villareal. Which is fine.

However, in Scotland, ITV1 is is doing one of it's regional variations and is showing Rangers and ITV4 is also still showing Rangers! I don't want to watch Rangers. I wanted to watch the Chelsea match like the majority of the UK. I know that ITV4 isn't regional like ITV1 is, but what about using ITV2 or ITV3 to show the Chelsea game for us Scots?

You are talking in future tense. You do know the match was last Tuesday right?

I dont care if the whole arsenal squad are french as long as they win. Kolo toure and eboue were brilliant. And I mention eboue because hes so young still. He will be great in a couple years.

We should have scored twice or three times but its been like this all season. We having trouble getting the ball in the net after having done all the hard work.

And yay chelski are bye bye haha

They were good. But Hleb was outstanding. He was man of the match for me.

Vengers dig at Jose was classic: "We are the sole representation from the Premiership now and will conduct ourselves with dignity and integrity in the next round".

:D

The champion's league quarterfinals:
Arsenal vs Juventus
Lyon vs AC Milan
Inter/Ajax vs Villareal
Benfica vs Barcelona

I'm backing Barca, though I feel Benfica could give them trouble.
And look, Vieira's going back to Highbury.
