I agree with most of that but I fail to see how he stands in the way of Martial when they have played together in recent weeks..
The point is; as long as Rooney is cemented in the starting XI, despite looking like a pub player for 3 months, our young talented players like Wilson, Pereira, Januzaj (obv. not this season) and possibly even a proven quality PL player like Herrera might decide to try their luck elsewhere.

Rooney is dog. Completely anonymous this calendar year so far. He'll never be as good as he was.

Cash in and get £20 million for him.

I can't see who will take him with a wage of £300k a week, even if Woodward were to put a £20 tag on him.
Gotta be a money bags team like PSG, or maybe one of them new Indian teams in their new superleague.

Champions League is back on tonight with two big games over the next two nights, Arsenal v Bayern Munich and Real Madrid v PSG.

Lap of honour for winning the 3rd game in the group stage. The most Arsenal thing ever.

Arsenal fans celebrating a win that takes them from bottom of the group to bottom of the group.

Missed the game as I was in work but just watched the highlights on BT's show, great result for Arsenal but I get the feeling that they only won that because Ospina is injured and didn't play, save brilliant saves from Cech, Neuer had a poor game but did make a stunning save from Walcott, anyone notice that Bayern's away kit looks just like Man United's third kit??

More pressure on Chelsea and Jose after a 0-0 in Kiev, they now are third in the group having won one drawn one and lost one..

Some cracking goals in the Leverkusen-Roma game, it finished 4-4!

Douglas Costa is such a fantastic player but I still can't help but feel Bayern miss Robben when he's injured.

Happy with a point, never easy to go to the far away places in Europe and get a result and we were better in the second half and got the equaliser, looking pretty good in the group now with two out of our last three games at home so no complaints from me, on to Sunday...

Man United 1-0 CSKA, we got a goal at ****ing last!, Rooney got it, top of the group now...

Man City beat Sevilla 1-3 and Real Madrid beat PSG 1-0.

Chelsea v Dynamo Kiev and Bayern Munich v Arsenal tonight, big games for both London clubs, Chelsea need a win because their CL form is just as crap as their League form with 4 points from three group games and that win isn't straight-forward tonight as they are in disarray...

Arsenal have some big players missing, Chamberlain, Walcott, Ramsey and Bellerin, Bayern have players injured too though.

@Liquid, City beat Sevilla twice and drew to Juve so far and qualified last night....sorry!

Arsenal might just have to shoot for 3rd and drop to the Europa League. Chelsea might have to do it too. If they finish as runners up, they could end up getting screwed over by the draw, and said group winner taking advantage of their inconsistency and poor form respectively.

Anybody looking at the Bayern formation changing?

They are playing 2-3-5 when on the ball.

Bayern just punishing them for what they did last time!

He's Robben the grave. I mean, he is the oldest man in the world and always has been but his skill and his speed...

AR5ENA1

Dear, oh dear. Who would be so foolish as to injure two of their best players in a Z-list cup competition against lower league opposition?

Night could not have gotten any worse really, qualification is still doable but I'd rather finish 4th than 3rd.

Better beat Spurs though.

Chelsea beat Dynamo 2-1 with a Willian free kick 7 minutes from proving the winner, it was far from convincing but the fans are still backing the manager with 'Jose Mourinho' chants throughout...
