Why would they do that when they needed to win is beyond me, but they di, and they lostd. If both teams played like they're capable of it would be a hell of a game much like this season is one hell of a season. Very close, very competeive, very entertaining.

How did that "d" get all the way over there? :P

Hi!

Just saw the Chelsea game, thought they were going to lose after the performance in the first leg, but Ballack's goal dispelled any rumors that anything was wrong with the team.

Blues on to the final 8, yes!

Now crossing fingers and hoping they don't lose to Barnsley in the FA Cup...:scared:

Stunning.

An absoulte master class from Arsenal.

I was getting really worried that they were playing SO well but not scoring.

We ran Milan Ragged. Best game I have watched in a really long time.

Is this the first or second leg you're talking about? I just saw the 2nd leg highlights and I have to say that Fabregas is amazing.

Also, I hope people who were hating on Walcott are no longer so disappointed. :)

Quarter Final Draw

Arsenal v Liverpool

AS Roma v Man Utd

Schalke 04 v FC Barcelona

Fenerbahce v Chelsea

Semi-final Draw

Arsenal/Liverpool v Fenerbahce/Chelsea

Schalke/Barcelona v AS Roma/Man Utd

Shame for Man U - having to travel to that hellhole (Rome) again :indiff:... Good draw for Chelsea... will be fascinating to see who wins the all-Premier League tie... Liverpool have the Euro credentials, but Arsenal are stronger on paper, I reckon...

My predictions to go through from the QFs: Arsenal, Man U, Barcelona, Chelsea
My predictions to go through from the SFs: Arsenal, Barcelona

Beat me to the punch!

A very interesting Draw!

I like your predictions Chris, but i'm hoping for an Arsenal v Schalke final!

There's talk going around that the draw was fixed.

The BBC just covered it in their 'Gossip' section

Youtube: Read 'About This Video'

Here is the thread where the guy called 'Confused' claimed a possible leak of the draw 90 mins before it even took place. He also claimed later that he knew some days (tue) before the draw.

Post subject: Possible leak of draw

Rumour going around draw has been leaked..... this is no doubt rubbish but if Rumour is true it's LFC - arsenal and Chelsea - fenerbache and manure v roma
No bookies will take bets on the draw either.......
Let the draw commence. Comeeee on!

Yes i got told by 2 people i know within betting circle who have been scuttling around trying to get a bookie to take the bet. These 2 people both told me seperately aswell. Would be uproar but it's uefa remember! he he..... wouldn't surprise me. Lets see how it pans out

A fix, or was it a lucky guess?

The odds were 104-1 of guessing the draw correctly - but it only takes 104 people on the internet to make one guess each and one of them is going to be right...

The thing about the bookies not taking any more bets in the run up to the draw is standard practice...

But you'd be very brave to come out and say it has been leaked and get the draw 100% correct. If he had come out and said 'I think it'll be ... ... ... ...' I could understand but to be so bold and say 'I know the draw, its a fix' is weird.

, and we thought Amar's GT5:Prologue thread was popular... that thread on the possible leaked draw has had 541889 views since Friday!!

I wouldn't be scared if I was a Roma fan, Roma are more than capable of causing an upset (knocking Real Madrid out is no easy feat) and there is no way that Man U will be going out there with low expectations of what they can do. That 7-1 thrashing was a 1 off, plus you wern't as good a team as you are this year. Obviousely I hope we win, and as convincingly as possible, but I'm expecting a tough game over there.

I don't really know what to think, we played okay, not our best but okay. Roma had a good spell early in the second half that lasted until Rooney scored our second goal but they were really poor infront of goal. They really should have scored one of their chances. It wasn't a great game but it was important and I think beating United at OT by 2 or more goals is probably beyond Romas grasp.

In one game Roma topple Real Madrin, in another they miss absolute sitters again us, maybe there's a mental thing going on because you can play a lot better than that (as we can but wern't forced to).

On another note, Vidic was taken off early with a knee problem, Fergie said he's hopefull it's just a nerve and nothing serious. I really don't want to be losing him at this stage of the season, our defence has been immense.

I'd love to see Fenerbahςe win tomorrow, but Chelsea will pull through anyway. Liverpool should win their tie as well. I'm a Barςa fan and despite our recent troubles I think we'll advance. Though we'll have to make a lot of improvements for the semis or Utd will rip us a new one.

I hate my brother and Liverpool. What a great game though, I was on the edge of my seat until the end. Just wish it would have worked out better for Arsenal...

I have to say I was rooting for Le Arse, and I groaned when that penalty was given. I don't like Arsenal but I respect them, they do play good attacking football and I can't say the same for Liverpool (although Torres aint alf bad). Arsenal gave away two soft gales before Liverpool scored the 4th, and that wasn't great. Fabregas should have done far better, especially if he is as Arsenal fans often say, the best mdfielder int he Prem. They gave Torres far too much time and space to turn and shoot for Liverpools second, then that penalty which was dubious, if it was apenalty then it was stupid by Toure.

On the plus side though it'll hopefully have a negative effect on Arsenals players for the match on Sunday. 4-0 to Man U anyone? I doubt it, but we're more than capable of taking all 3.

well played lost in the end :(
congrats to chelsea but frankly with this play they're gonna lose in semi

That was a really entertaining game, settling for a 1-1 and penalties my ass.

Penalty was very dubious though.
