Just wondered what the best price is for pre-ordering the Anniversary Edition. I've seen it for £59.95 at coolshopuk, anyone found it cheaper?

the only place I can find it is at GAME & gameshop.co.uk, but it seems you found it cheaper mate nice one 👍

GAME - £69,99
Gameshop - £64.99 (when it was in the store, not there any more)
amazon - £39.99 (normal edition only)
Argos - £41.99 (Normal edition only)
Tesco - £40 (normal edition only)
Shopto - £39.85 (Including Precision Pack & Torque Pack DLC)

I never used coolshopuk before, so I would shop around first before you buy it 👍

I've found it strange that there aren't more retailers doing the anniversary edition. I would have thought Amazon would be doing it but apparently not. Many thanks for replying.

The Anniversary Edition is meant to be exclusive to GAME in the UK so i'd be cautious of those others, you may be getting an import.

certainly not paying £69.99 for the anniversary edition. Pre-ordered the standard edition including Precision Pack & Torque Pack DLC from Amazon for £35 several weeks ago :)

What is the Precision Pack and Torque Pack DLC?

Apex II book was supposed to be part of the UK/EU bundle, so I presume pricing was made according to that.

Howeverz Sony decided to offer Apex II book as Android/iOS digital publication, but they didn't adjust the price accordingly.

I agree that demanded price is too high for steelbook and some digital versions of the cars, without physical book.

I could be wrong but I don't think it was ever specified by the retailers that the Apex book would be physical. It may have been but I never saw clear clarification. Even if it was physical it's still not worth £30.

I mean obviously the solution is simple, just buy the standard version, but they still need to do something about that price because it's ridiculous.

Japan and Asia are getting the Apex II physical book and I have Apex book in both my GT5 Collectors and Prestige Editions. I have no problem with the price if it wiould include steelbook, cars and physical book, some exclusivity should be paid accordingly.

Bit without the physical book, I hope the price will be adjusted.

Exclusivity comes at a cost sure but £30 for a steelbook and and small physical book is too much, the Americans are getting the cars for free. If we want those we've got to be shafted.

Not liking the Anniversary Edition so far, an extra £25 for some tuned cars with gaudy paintwork that suits hardly any of them, and now it seems the Apex book might not even be a physical book? Easiest decision evah, standard edition FTW

(That said, I'm kinda glad too, I don't like exclusives that aren't available to all at some point)

amazon are selling GT6 for £40 w/

precision pack
- Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 N24 ’13
- Audi R8 LMS
- Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C7) ’14
- Tesla Motors Model S Signature Performance
- SRT Viper GTS

torque pack

my guess is the cars are the same as you get in regular game with a different paint job. so I will get the amazon standard edition since I don't care about a steel case

£30 from GAME is too much, i saw the anniversary edition at Gamestop UK for £65 i think, i'm considering ordering it from GameStop UK.

Hi all. New member.

GameStop did have the Anniversary Edition on their website, but when I checked today (18th October 2013), the page has disappeared. I still have a cached copy on my PC.

The only difference between GameStop and Game was that Game offered the 'Precision Pack' pre-order bonus while GameStop didn't. Everything else was included (Steelbook, Apex II, 20 blue cars, etc...) for £65. However, I guess this is irrelevant now, because it has been taken down.

Did anyone pre-order this from Gamestop? If so have they been in touch to say they can't fulfill the order?

As for Anniversary vs. Standard edition, the only reason I wanted the Anniversary was for Apex II. As this is going to be digital only now (See Playstation Blog for details), I probably won't bother.

Just checked Games website and they have dropped the price for the Anniversary Edition to £59.99.
Still seems a bit high for digital only extras but the standard edition is £44.99 at Game so I think they are just expensive all round

Expected, since the physical Apex II book have been permanently removed from all version of the game except JP/HK/Asia.

I have checked German PSBlog page today and it clearly mentions Apex II book as iOS or GoogleStore download. People with tablets will be happier then us phone-plebs, especially once GTApp becomes available.

I hope we will see euro price reduced as well.

Also, I am still amazed that both Apex II book or GTApp haven't been announced for either PSP or Vita. Really crazy IMO

But great for the new price, it will make Anniversary Edition more attractive to wider demographics

Hopefully there are good offers near time of release or before this year ends, don't really want to wait until next year but may do to get the Anniversary Edition at a more reasonable price. Probably will fall into pre-order trap though due to Precision Pack.

Then standard edition it is for me, 30 extra for livery and minimal bonuses is not a reasonable price, game has overpriced games everywhere.

Unfortunately, don't think it will be possible to know whether the extra for the signature edition is worth it until GT6 is release.

Previous (to GT5), there was usually a race/series quite early on that gave big credits or an unlimited valuable prize car that could be won over and over again (like on GT4). This meant it was fairly easy to build up credits and progress/collect cars quickly.

When GT5 was launched, it was a nightmare trying to progress, extremely slow and boring, having to grind many of the starter series over and over again. Only to have the crazy seasonal events being introduced a few months later that offered ridiculous credits (compared to what was on offer upon release).

If GT6 is going to be like GT5, then it might be worth getting he more expensive version as the extra cars and credits will be helpful for those who don't have much time, but need to work their way through the game fairly quickly i.e. online race series organisors, GT website owners/staff etc..

However, if there's good credits available early, like GT4, or you have plenty of time to play it and work your way through, I can't see the signature edition as being worth it.

Glad I read this, I ordered with GameStop and I rarely check my emails. Will check now.

I've just checked and I still have an open order for the Anniversary Edition, so I've sent them an email.

Got a feeling they're based out of Ireland, so technically they can still sell it to UK residents?

GameStop replied. They said they would honour my order as I had placed it with them before they removed the listing. I expect the Game exclusive doesn't extend to the Eire market, where I think their operation is based for the UK market.
