UK Anniversary Edition prices

Just checked the Gamestop.ie website and the AE is still there for sale on it, hasn't been taken down over here.

I don't know what the story is with Game and Gamestop over there in Britain but over here in Ireland the AE is exclusive to Gamestop not Game, I have mine pre ordered months ago.

Yeah it's strange, perhaps Gamestop UK were not meant to list it, only Gamestop IE, and that is why it's removed but they'll honor the current orders on the UK site anyway. They'll only get into trouble if someone tells GAME I guess.

So is this the price for people who pre-ordered from time ago, or is it a site glitch if i place my order now? I was planning on going into the shops and doing it face to face, if the site saves me £10 then why not.

Hmm, hard to say. I have had my order down for a while. Like many other websites, if the price goes down your order goes down to that price, but once you've ordered, if the price goes up then you orders stays at the lower price.

So maybe they had a glitch where the price went lower and so everyone who ordered before that is now at the lower price? Or it was a special price for limited time that wasn't advertised (as far as I know). But now it is Listed at the higher price, so I can only assume if you ordered one now, it would be at that higher price unless they do another price drop back to £49.99, or it is still glitched.

I will test out right now guys and edit in a few minutes.

Edit: Ok, just did a test pre-order from Game.co.uk to see whether it would again charge this mysterious lower £49.99, and it didn't.

Thanks appreciated, I guess I'll just go in and pay at the store and also ask if they do a midnight release like they did for GT5. The store near me closed 6 months ago so makes the journey a little bit longer.

The standard edition is £44.99, the Anniversary edition is £59.99.

The £49.99 thing seems to have either been a bug, or a very limited time reduction in price for anyone who had already placed there order from a little while ago, and doesn't seem to be available at that price any more.

Edit: To confirm that it works 100% Just copied the code and applied it, never went through Facebook ( I dont even have an account, made one once for a GT5 Jaguar Chrome DLC)

Yep unless Ireland is getting an unknown edition. Also it said delivery 2 days, but i presume it will arrive on the day of release? I've never used game for online pre-orders only the one time GT5 Signature edition which i got in-store on the midnight launch.

It says that, and they normally dispatch it 2 days before release. I'm sure that sometimes people get unlucky and get games late sadly though. Conversely, I seem to get lucky, and more times than not, seem to get my pre-orders from them 1 day early.

Does the game.co.uk Anniversary edition contain the Apex II book? The blog post from playstation says it's included, but game.co.uk doesn't say anything about it.

I am paying £70 for the Anniversary edition, it would be the most expensive game I have bought next to GTA V which was £60 (SE), I like getting nice stuff rather than a nasty plastic case if I can afford it.

Don't know, but it will be/is already a downloadable eBook. As to where it can be purchased/downloaded is another question.

I refused to even consider the AE when I saw it wasn't listed on Amazon and was overpriced on Gamestop and GAME, but now with the £10 discount, I have changed my mind, like a few people already have posted. Shame on Amazon for missing out on the AE to begin with, but also it just proves that GAME really do overprice their games way too much.
