i think this can basicly be seen as the real life version of Gran turismo.

Basicly you take a road car and the modify it to see who can got the quickest round a track both done by tuner companys or people with thier own fairly quick cars.

Awesome, its nice to see Oulton park this year. My Dad raced in this one last year at rockingham and the Donny test runs.

He isn't competing this year but I may go down to Oulton park for this years one anyway.

Would Jimmy McRae be the legend? Cause I'll support him and hope Bruce Taxis go out.

There was A drifting competition on at rockingham last year that was on at the time attack, do you know if will be on next year? I am not a huge fan of drifting but was interesting to see it for the first time in real life.

yeah i think they run them both together with the EDC

Sweet, Tiff from 5th gear was at the last one but I don't know whether it was for 5th gear. Hopefully there shall be plenty more interesting characters this year.

It seems Simon Norris is back again. Do you know if he will be running the green machine again this year?

Only minor damage :D.

I seem to recall him saying the Green Evo has 900BHP or so. I can't see him changing any time soon.

but you need to remember the time attack HAS to be done on road legal toyo tyres that anyone can just go and buy  900 might be pushing it just abit.

Certainly he didn't win and while that may be to his driving there are other massively powerful cars that can't put all the power down. It seems that between 500 and 600 BHP is the max BHP required to be in with a chance depending on the track.

All I was saying is its one hell of a machine and I doubt he will feel the need to change it, other than just tweaks to the car.

yeah i get what you mean i was just trying to say that if he does want to be in with a chance of winning then maybe the SWB is not the best idea but it certainly is a crowd pleaser so he might use it.

And simon norris has wrote off his evo 9 time attack car! dont think he will have it reshelled by this weekend, just about to leave now(staying through in falkirk this weekend ),hopefully top 5 for the taxis!

well 8th again at the weekend and 22nd for the evo 5 out of 40,not bad considering the evo 5 only has around 380bhp (basicly a standard evo 7 engine except for the ecu).

The 5 was only boosting at 1.5 bar so turned that up to around 1.8 and it blew a hose but after it was replaced no more issues.

The 7 was running second in class for a while! but lost alot of time under braking as we totally trashed a brand new set of racing pads on saturday practice so had to use part worn ones as the local tuner didnt have any left :( trapping 120+mph down the back straight :D
