What's your ultimate dream car. It dosent have to be in GT1-2-3-4-or5 it can be any car in the world

Mine's a '81 Ferrari 308 GTR.👍
Can you show a picture of that? It must be a racer because I don't know of any production GTR's in existence.

For the older cars, I'd pick the Ferrari 275 GTB/4 in yellow.

For the newer cars, the Porsche 997 GT3 in cream white.

Mine would be an E46 M3 Touring with the V8/6MT from an E92 M3.

The ULTIMAte supercar of course.

It's a modern Cobra(English body, American power). Plus it's a kit car so you can feel like you own it more than a lame Ferrari someone else built.

I didn't think there was a touring version of the E46 M3 - based on the fact that there wasn't a 4 door version of the E46 M3 IIRC. Do you have pics of one?

Whaa? You most-certainly can buy the R35 GT-R in Pennsylvania. They've been on sale for a while now. Although, in the land of 15% unemployment, I've yet to see one.

My Pick (at the moment): 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP

Its a shame the car will live only for a year. It is, perhaps, the greatest car GM has built in more than four decades. If anything, this is the spiritual successor to the E39 M5. I'll have it in white, gas prices and insurance rates be damned. Sure, I could go crazy and pick something more legitimate like the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 or the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, but in terms of everyday useability, and actually being able to you know... Drive the car... The G8 GXP just about tops it. Toss the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V or the 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK63 Black Series in the mix, and of course, it gets far more complicated than it should be.

Nice pick on the Commedore. DO you guys get some sort of HSV version over in the states? Ad if you want even more power and street cred eeked out of it, you could also look at walkenshaw for all your dream machine needs.:D

I agree with 80Y 2C2. Brilliant pick.👍(Waits for Paulie to say same thing.). My Dad has a Holden Commodore SS which is basically what the Pontiac is. I can tell you now that the SS goes!:D It is very fast. 270KW, not as much as the HSV Clubsport version(Vauxhall VXR8) but the acceleration in it is nuts. From what I've been told it is also a great car to drive, the steering feels direct etc. The fuel consumption is good too.👍 We get about 10L-11L/100km. So that isn't too bad.:) The Holden Monaro CV8 '02 we have drops down into the 9L/100km sometimes! The fuel consumption of these big GM V8's isn't as bad as what you'd expect. But they are a fantastic car, and as Top Gear UK has said. They're brilliant for the money, they are considerably less expensive than a Merc or a Beemer and they go nearly as fast.:D

-Ferrari F50
-Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR
-Porsche 964 Turbo
-Lamborghini Diablo SV

The CLK GTR would be my first choice.

Is that a stock CLK GTR? Because I've never seen or heard of a convertible one - and I've never seen that sort of spoiler on the back.

.....with as much driver satisfaction. My maths teacher has a VE SS - he says it really picks up, and he's used to an XR6 with a heap of noise and boost.

That's precisely why it's my dream car.

Top secret Toyota Supra V12

Does anybody besides me see the irony of naming your company "Top Secret" and then plastering your car with attention-craving graphics?

1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V:

or a 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham:

You do know that you can buy very decent examples of both of those cars for oh, say, under $2000 each? You could have both easily enough. Though I have to say, even by mid-'70s standards, the Mark V has always been the every-day car winner of the coveted "Most Titanic Exterior Size for Least Usable Interior Space Ratio" prize.

I'm pretty sure he meant that he'd take the R34 over and R35. I went back and re-read his post, but then again, I could just be an idiot.

Also, there are a few GT-Rs in my area (10 miles north of Pittsburgh). I've seen at least 4 different ones: Both silvers, black, and white.

Good luck trying to find a Nismo Z2 Z-Tune R34 GTR, only 20 ever made. :)

Erm....and why no comment about the CLK GTR? That used to be the most expensive road car you could buy. There were around 20 of them.

And then what about the 250 GTO? I bet you could pick up more that 5 Z tunes for the price of one of the Fezzas. Info these days saying it only costs 7mil. pounds for one, but I'm sure it was at 12 like 2 or 3 years ago.

Maybe that was for one of the 3 4L versions they made.

Good luck with prying Nick Mason's cold, dead hands off his.

It isn't about how rare a car is. If you love it, that's the main thing. If rarity and price were taken into account, we'd be all in those "suggest me a car" threads talking about the warranty on a VW Golf GTi instead of here.

Europe:

Because it's ridiculous.

Japan (And perhaps overall):

Because it does everything, and does it the Japanese way.

With the prices 510s are commanding these days, you could probably put the Alfa and the Datsun on the same level of attainability.

The G8 GXP would be the equal to the HSV Clubsport R8, I think. Its the same 415 BHP LS3 and six-speed gearbox. However, I think the suspension tune on the Pontiac may be a little more on the softer side.

We only had the car for a year, as the G8 dies in 2010 along with the Pontiac brand.
