Money no object? One of the below:

Spyker C8 Laviolette (because it's exquisitely crafted and is as much a piece of art as it is a piece of engineering)
CARmageddon7.jpg

Honda NSX Type-R (because it's incredible around a track and makes an amazing noise)
Honda_NSX_Type-R_2005.jpg

Porsche 997 GT3 RS (because it's also a handy track weapon, has a timeless shape and is still completely unique amongst supercars)
fpvu5.jpg

Ferrari Enzo (because it's the ultimate variant of the most famous sports car company in the world)
racecar-ferrari-enzo.gif

Ferrari 246GT Dino (because to my eyes it's the most beautiful and delicate sports car from the most famous sports car company in the world)

Hell, if money was no object I'd have them all.

If money was an object though (which of course, it is) and I had to look a little more down to earth, it'd be one of these:

Lotus Elise Forty-Nine (because it's one of the best sports cars ever in an iconic colour scheme)

I hadn't had a dream car since the Lamborghini Murcielago came out in, I think, 2001. After 2-3 years it faded away. But now I have a new dream car: Ferrari California

I love legends cars, that has to be ton of fun.

They are lots of fun. With the power to weight ratio of a Sprint Cup car and on street tires they take a lot of car control. One of the the more experienced drivers told me my first time out (with regards to being loose) "By the time you figure out it's going, it already gone."

Actually I reckon the Atom 500 V8 when it's released will give the Caparo a run for its money.

My dream car is the Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce.

I haven't heard about that one, but if it's a multi-lap race my buddy's old 80's camry could probably beat it by virtue of not catching on fire, falling apart and exploding.

That is the other car, it would make my heart explode. Now I know this is a bit ludicrous, but frankly I wish the lambo had about 80 more stallions. It's just 670hp is only 30ish more than a Corvette.

In a remotely practical world though the ZR-1 makes enough sense for me, and it is the fastest production car around the ring (last time I checked at least) and the whole my mechanic knows how to work on it thing would be nice too. (Yes, he does. He owns a Z06 himself.) Also, most people wouldn't gawk at it like morons. Because frankly, it's fairly mundane looking.

But I would feel a bit of a prat driving it, all that bloody plastic American manufacturers seem to think is acceptable.

Ah, but for every day I really think something like this would be most appropriate.

Although it is quite powerful, I don't like the LP670 for the massive horsepower, I like it because it looks menacing as all ****ing hell. To quote Richard Hammond: "if a Toyota Prius saw that exhaust pipe it would LITERALLY wet its pants."

And the Corvette ZR1 WAS the fastest production car 'round the 'Ring, but that accolade now goes to the Dodge Viper ACR.

This

BMW Alpina B7S Turbo.

To be honest I think the earlier models with the chrome wrap around bumpers and the less tasteful striping look better..., but this is probably the ultimate incarnation of the E24 6 series.

... it will be mine, oh yes... it will be mine...

Let's see you build a reliable 670BHP engine that will last over 250,000 miles without a rebuild :)

You know what, if I had a machine shop I bet you I could, I've spent a sizable chunk of my life working on engines, and if I had the resources to back me I'd say I could do it. (Or at least make a decent stab at it after having made several melted lumps of aluminum.)

In all seriousness I'm just a megalomaniac, and the Veyron feeds that part of me, but it doesn't do much for the rest. Frankly if someone took the Veyron's drivetrain and put it in something as stripped down as a F40 then let the beautiful maniacs that styled the Reventon and the wonderful loonies that designed the T1 have at...

I would simply not be able to take it, I would worship that car. I would find somewhere where it was legal to marry it and do so.

First, I love Hammond. He's loves cars the same way I do. Don't get me wrong I like Clarkson, but Hammond and I are on the same wavelength.

The European manufacturers must be foaming mad. Especially Porsche, they're getting smoked in their own back yard. If I was an executive at Porsche right now I would be unable to unclench my fists except to hold design specs for something completely ludicrous and approve them. (It'll have 1,500hp, AWD and be made entirely out of carbon nanotubes? Start production now.)

That is my Ultimate Dream Car

2003 Cadillac Sixteen Concept.
-13.4 Liters V16 producing 1000 HP and 1000 lb-ft of torque.
-24 inches rims (Just to make you see how big it is)

This is the standard of the world as they used to say.

I have one of the cars I dreamed about when they first came out

Cadillac Eldorado ETC. 300hp and 295ftlbs. Original MSRP of mine was right about 43k. 0-60 in just over 6 seconds IIRC. Now it's a few years old, but I still love it, and with my tweaking it has only gotten more powerful. Mine is that color.

Because what's the use of going fast if you butt is not properly warmed?

I prefer properly cooled while going fast. Nothing like sweating your butt off with the windows up because you don't want to lose your aerodynamics by rolling down the window.
