Plain and Simple...discuss your favorite Zelda games along with upcoming games!

*You can pick more than one poll selection*

A Link to the Past, is what got me hooked on Zelda and is deffinately my favorite overall. Ive beaten it multiple times and it really never gets old.

So far, I have played almost all the games featuring our green-capped friend. The ones I have yet to play are TAoL, MM, and OoS. Wind Waker is the main reason I got a GC (that and Smash Bros.) and I am deffinately looking forward to Twilight Princess. I actually enjoyed playing WW, I thought it had a neat aspect to it; I especially enjoyed the Minish Cap.

Overall, I would say that the people behind Link and Princess Zelda are still doing a great job putting together new and ambitious storylines to keep their fans returning for more.

My favorites are A Link To The Past, Zelda: OoT and MM and Minish Cap. I played WW too, but I didn't get very far in it. I was pissed when I got my preorder in for WW because the bonus disc with the reworked OoT wasnt there because some stores decided to charge extra for it. :grumpy:

As for the "favorite", it's a toss up between the original Zelda on NES and Ocarina of Time. I also voted for the Game Boy one. It was pretty good.

I also never have beaten a Zelda game. :( I am worthless!

Integra Type R: I'm sorry to hear that your game shop try to rip you off. I got OoT disc with the Wind Waker and Collector's(Zelda 1 & 2, OoT & Majora's Mask) with the subscription to Nintendo Power. It was only $20, so it was a very good deal, but the magazine was unbelievably bad. I was looking for the Ocarina of Time disc, so I can just mail it to you or something, but I must've given it to somebody, I can't find it. Sorry. :guilty:

The only Zelda game I've beaten was the very first one. I enjoyed playing that one as a kid.

I always thought the second one was dumb, but I really liked the third one, A Link To The Past. Unfortunately, I never got around to beating it.

I played through over half of Ocarina of Time, and then I lost interest. Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and all of the random GameBoy versions never caught my eye to begin with.

Being able to play with the WiiMote might just be enough to get me to play the new one, though.

Are there any specifics as to what the WiiMote will do in Twilight Princess? Sword functions would be ultimate badd-assity.

I tried to get into the newer Game Boy ones but didn't really like them until MC, the first one for the original gameboy was alright, I could never get past a certain point in the game.

Link to the Past and Wind Waker were the only titles to hold my interest. Though I should point out that the last time I played LTTP was when I was a kid.

Gotta love Jubei Style Ganon!

What would everyone say their favorite boss was in the Zelda series.

I always enjoyed fighting the bosses in OoT, mainly for the "outstanding graphics" but also because they usually required skills in weapons...you know...skills.

My favorite would have to be Agahaim (or however you spell it) from LttP. He was hard to beat, especially bounching his energy back at him with the sword. It got a little easier in OoT with Shadow Ganon though, given the advanced viewpoints.

The only Zelda game i've ever played is Ocarina Of Time, that game kicked ass. Best Boss: Cant remember, but I did manage to complete the Shadow Temple and beat its invisible boss Bongo Bongo without the Eye Of Truth.

I have played Majora's Mask too, but I completely agree that the Ocarina of Time rules!

Good going East! I don't know how you managed that one :D I wouldn't of been able to do it!

Twinrova in the Ocarina of Time in the Spirit Temple. Fused form of Nabooru with those two witches.
👍 That battle is fun, because you get to use that kick-ass mirrored shield :D

Ocarina of Time was my first N64 game (it came with the console). The first time I went through it, it took sooooooo long to beat it. Great game!

Im actually at Bongo Bongo now, But died the first two times even with two faries in bottles :ill: :ouch:

This games has defnatly been the best Zelda for me, but theat would be the case seeing as I only got playing the zelda games from WW which I beat and managed to collect all the figures on the second time around. And now Im playing this OOT I have the Bigron swoard (dont know if thats the correct spelling) but bongo bongo is hard.

Frave boss so far from both games has to be the fire scorpian thing from WW, the heat haze effect and graphics were great.

The only ones I've played are Majora's Mask and the 4 Swords for the GBA. I only beat MM once and I lost interest in the 4 Swords game.

If you still have your N64 (or special disc for the GC) then I would suggest playing OoT. From what the poll is reading, it seems to be the most popular Zelda game thus far.

I second that. One of the best games I've ever played. I have the GC version, but N64 and/or Ocarina of Time for it should be really easy to come by, almost next to nothing.

the best bossess were volvagia-the volcano dragon, and ganon.wow-ganon was just pure class!

OMG! Only the single greatest thread ever created by man! Props to the host!

As for my fav games, Ocarina is my fav, then Link to the Past then the Original, then The return of Link. The only zelda games I haven't beat yet are the ones I hevn't played (as I dont have a portable gaming device :() But those can be pretty lame *imo* anyway. I am currently truly debating changing my pre order for Twilight Princess from Gamecube to Wii and also trading in my gamecube system toward the purchase of a Wii. I will probably do it if Gamestop will let me change my pre order.
Best boss IMO is Bongo-Man, that was good as well as my twin link in Zelda II :)

I will most likely make a walkthru for the new Zelda game when it comes out as I 've had some requests to do so :sly: although....there goes my GT time....:ouch: lol

I'm glad I was using the Search, I would have never found this thread.
I love Link!!!! Well...... I like little Link. He's so cute:D I think Ocarina of Time was good, but the best was Wind Waker. I'm very close to beating OT, all I have to do now is get to the boss in the Shadow Temple, then I can get to Ganon:mischievous: and beat the game:D
Who else is wighting for the new Zelda game? I want to get it for the Wii, I love the idea of you being able to hear the bow draw back IN the controller.
And being able to control the Sword and Shield.

/\ U said it hunter, I actually pre ordered the game oh, like last NOVEMBER for the GC and now since they keep prolonging the inevitible I am gonna get the wii version and wii instead and sell them my GC too ;) Looks like it just may be up to par of OOT (I Hope). The shadow temple is one great dungeon, it has my fav boss too. I just hope that the next one is just as tough as the water temple or harder, that took me quite a LONG @$$ time to figure out. C'mon Nintendo lemme play lemme play!

I think the water temple was the hardist to, I didn't figure it out until I started a new game. I'm hoping that the new Zelda game is as hard as OT, and as crazy as Wind Waker. Hey, you've played OT, maybe you can help me get though the Shadow Temple. You can just PM me if you like.
(I can't flipen wight for Twilight Princess to come out):D:crazy:

Could someone please give more information about this new Zelda game please? And is it going to be playable on N64?

MS

The new Zelda game will be playayble on The Game Cube system, and of course the New Wii system, but not the N64 unfortunately. Butt.......the Wii will (I'm pretty sure atleast, like 99.9% sure) that it will play all the other zelda games to date on their main console systems (nes, snes etc) via thier virtual console in the Wii. Cool stuff imo, I just hope incase I dont get adjusted to their 'tv remote' controller I can use my old GC controllers.

Anyway I like the WindWaker alot, I like to just go sailing and going to new places.
