FFB? What does this mean? Either way, you can tune your car's suspension to where understeer is reduced on nonexistent, so I don't see how this would influence your decision to purchase the game. Whatever floats your boat, though.

Oh ok, I see. Then my answer didn't help him/her at all. Sorry.

Ahahaha... sorry ( not laughing at you ..just the comment )

I did laugh at that.. jumped in both feet first there dint ya ... DOH !!!

Classic example of know your stuff before commenting ... still funny though

We all have those 'd'oh' moments from time to time. Oh well. :D

Force feedback is force feedback. You can feel what the front tires are doing in the wheel, whether the car is understeering or oversteering.

I think the OP understands what Force Feedback is.. He is asking if it is present in GT6... Another jumping in before properly reading... LOL

Any more... this is good fun

I can't use a wheel properly in my PS3, I dont find a good place for it (In front of my TV) and I don't have space to plug the FFB. I only can use it correctly with my computer.

So how does this answer if FFB is present in GT6 ?? .. in order to answer the op's question ?

I think you take all of this stuff a little to seriously brother. Relax, its just a game...err, forum.

If you say so... i was laughing at this the whole time.. if thats taking it too seriously ..then so be it

As if you contributed anything to the OP...

Whatever... I was to busy laughing at the rest... my apologies for not contributing

Boiliehead.. I don't have GT6 yet , so I am unfortunately unable to help you with your query.

Is there understeer ffb in gt6 you think?
If not i'm not buying....period!
I'm buying it regardless but understeer FFB would be a welcome addition to GT. I don't know if any other sim provides and FFB during understeer though...maybe someone else might know.

Its not a deal breaker for me, but I really do wish the game provides more tactile feedback on what the tires are doing than what was in GT5. Don't get me wrong I love the FFB in GT5, but I hope with the new tire model they model the FFB like Forza where the wheel goes slightly slack when the front tires lose grip.

I did read, and if he knew what FFB was he wouldn't have asked.
Not in GT5.
What?

OK, maybe it's me (I run both high and low FFBs) but when the cars starts understeering you can feel the wheel gets "odd" or gets light. It isn't as obvious as say, iRacing but you can feel it in both DFGT and the G27. To really feel it try a race on any of the snow tracks.

Yes he would of asked...READ IT !!!!!!!!

He knows what FFB is.. he wants to know if GT6 has understeer ffb in it.

He cannot know the answer..he doesnt have gt6..

Lol

"understeer ffb" I have never seen force feedback without it. Just varying levels (for both over and understeer).

I always wondered, is understeer effect (FFB) really nescesary?
Almost all PC sims have it, and alot of other racing games but in reality to feel the loss of grip by over steering the car in real life is very dificult, one needs to apply alot of force to the wheel. Ofcourse this also depends on the car tire combination but is very unlikely to feel this efect in real life.
Maybe this is why Kaz isn't interested in modeling it on Gran Turismo.
Never the less, understeer efect is very usefull for sim racing IMO, and should be applied more effectively in Gran Turismo games.

Do you rely on audio/visual to tell if you've went into a corner to fast?
I do... I'm on ds3 and can tell by RPM and a multitude of other things. People say you can't feel under steer on a controller but if you spend long enough, you generate a sense of what it is like. Then muscle memory replays when the 5 sense recall a previous event.

There was some feedback for understeer in GT5 and the GT6 Academy demo. It stands to reason that GT6 will have it, also. The people with early copies of the game made no mention of whether or not it's the same or improved.

I don't know about high end wheels, but on a Logitech Driving Force Pro it's not even close to reality, even in iRacing it's all over the place and miss more than hit.

Yes, in fact if one enters a turn too fast the only thing to do is take anothe racing line, or do you turn the wheel full lock and expect the car to turn normally?
The understeer FFB effect is just nescesary to feel when one has over turned the wheel and reached the grip level of the front tire wen turning, Not to feel if one went into a corner to fast.

And i wasn't saying ths is unnescesary (the understeer effect), actually i would really like it to be in GT6, i was saying that tis effect isn't very comon in real life.
