CTSCC won't run on the 30th, polar is putting it on hold because he want's to run it as well,

I figured it out everyone. If we start at exactly 5:00 anyone here that races in CTSCC can make it with 30 minutes to spare.

That's 2pm for me and seth. I could make it but didn't seth say he couldn't make that time before our very first practice?

It's cutting it close, I have a bible study going on at 1 (4pm eastern), that usually runs for a lil more than an hour.

Sure! I just don't think I 'evolved' from a single cell organism over the course of billions of years. That's another discussion. I'll be on later today for those who want to have some practice runs.

2 things:

1: Are we back on for pre-season?

2: Seth are you changing to LMP?

The races won't be more than an hour then?

Exactly 1 hour. After that the race will be checkard flagged that lap. You will be expected to HONESTLY post on the thread your finishing spot for both your class and overall. Yes that means I am using the overall idea that was suggested.

I'll try DP. I think people will see it's a lot of fun and join that class. BTW I have a room up testing multiple series.

Why don't we put a certain number of laps which might go around 1 hour? I think it's easier.

All you have to do is set the timer for say 70 seconds after race finish. That way it'll let the cars finish their laps and continue to race.

No I mean during the race if we hit 1 hour with cautions and stuff. Then we will end the race the next lap.

LMP's run 1:24's and lower. So make it 40 laps even. That'll be enough to make sure people will have to make at least one stop, maybe two depending on tire life and a possible caution.

Yeah but I'm trying to find a set distance so that every race can be the same. So people don't have to wait till the day before the race to find out how long it will be.

It's simple math. You did it with the 35 laps. But 1:30 is slower than what the LMP pace is going to be. @1:25 per lap for an hour would be 42 laps. So round down to 40 laps even because there will be a pit stop and the pace of the LMP's will slow down.

But 100 miles is a baseline that would put every race we run into the <1 hour category. If it's less than an hour who cares? That just gives the people who are running other series more time to prepare for them. And that what we have been trying to figure out for the past 3 days is how to let everybody compete in their other series without them being affected by USCC.

Daytona would be around 45 mins and 29 laps
Le Sarthe would be around 45 mins and 12 laps
Monza would be around 45 mins and 28 laps
Laguna Seca would be a little bit less than 1 hour and 45 laps

Gives us time to get everybody in the room starting at 2pm so we can start the race no later than 2:15 (5pm and 5:15 EST)
