Todays race was ok, but there were too many restarts. Also there were only 6 of us who showed up. There should be at least 9 or 10. I think the start time is too early, or we need another day to do these races. So what say you all?

The day & time is fine. Everyone just has to proof read the OP & figure out are race time. How does everyone think the caution went?

I think when a caution occurs, the leader should stop so everyone can catch up. Then only if the overall leader pits, you do the wave arounds. I also think everyone should pit at once

Comprimise: All lead lap cars pit then after lap down cars get there lap back the lead lap cars stop after they get out of pits then if a lap down car doesn't pit if they are two or more laps down they may go get one more lap back.

In order to not get confused by which lead laps car have and haven't pitted, they all should pit at once. Its too hard to keep track of everything that way anyway. If any lead lap cars pit, lapped cars should get a wave around so they are not in front of any lead lap cars

That's what I was trying to get at.
 
I think that if someone slows on the pace lap then they just need to catch back up. Not have everyone slam on their brakes so they don't pass them. Sorry I left last night but that was just so frustrating to get damage every time on the pace lap. And I like that idea for the cautions cause the one last night was really just too long and in reality I shouldn't have gotten my lap back.. The time and day is fine.

James, you should update the thread title to say the date and time of the next race at least 5 days in advance. So it would say "Next Race: Barber Motorsports Park, Fri Nov. 9th, 5pm (2PST)" or something like that.

Title looks good.

And yea only James should chat during cautions to tell people what to do. That caution was way too long. That's why I say every one should pit together and if a lapped car is in front of any lead lap cars, they get a wave around
 
Me and James are the only ones who are appointed stewards (as far as I know). So yeah, only him or I should say what to do. That said the pace lap is 60mph/100kmh. No side by side until the front straight. So single file, then we double up side by side on the start straight. That way if anyone wants to weave, you won't hit anyone else.

Everyone remember Wednesday room opens 4:30 PM EST 1:30 PM PST. GT qualifying starts as soon as room opens. GT end & DP starts at 5 EST 2 PST. DP ends LMP starts 5:30 EST 2:30 PST. Last minute qualifying starts at 6 EST 3 PST. All qualifying ends at 7 EST 4 PST.
 
I don't think I can make it today. TV isn't working, so I'll have to find a new one or play on the old small screen. We shall see.
 
Barber has been made wider & is now available to all drivers to test & tune on.
 
Its still not wide enough. It looks like you didn't even widen it. None of the corners can be taken 2 wide. I just did a offline race there. Sorry James, if it's multiclass racing it won't work IMO.

Well I can make it wider if needed. I will make it +2 it is currently at -2.
 
These cars are way too fast for a track that skinny. If we were running miata's it'd be great. But these are cars with 600+hp.

you have to click the edit button on at the bottom of the OP and then go to the top it will have the title of your series and you can edit it. I'll take a look send me the link to the thread
 
When you edit your post, you have to go to ADVANCED settings. That's the only way you can change the Title.

About the barber motorsports park, I like it
I guess with multi classes we would need room to pass. People need to be careful when lapping other cars
