Which car should be used for the "new" backgrounds?

Whenever you get a chance please do the ZO6 non-tuned and the GT-R :)

:lol: talks about Sony getting it the wrong way round!!.... they should release something to make the PSN icon fit with everything else!... it looked great before when it was the 4 symbols flat.

agreed, the whole changing with the big "standing out" blue crap isn't so nice :P

Finally downloaded the latest version Alba and I must say excellent work. Love the GT sound effects on confirm/cancel button presses.

You could win a copy of GT5P, I'm sure you've already got one but you could always sell it making you a bit of money. :)

Just a thought, and I think your themes are fantastic and have a good chance of ranking highly.

I have a question about this and other themes that have multiple backgrounds.

Is it possible to manually select which backgrounds that come with a theme instead of it randomly selecting one for you?

I looked over the PS3's XMB manual under Theme Settings, and it makes no mention on if it's possible, or how to do this.

I know I can copy any pic from the XMB's Photo menu or from an external drive into a wallpaper, and then assign it as the background of any theme... but as you can only have one pic assigned as the wallpaper, it would be nice if you could manually cycle through the multiple backgrounds that come with many of the themes.

Is this possible, or are we stuck having to just hope the background we want will be randomly selected?

Sadly, there is no answer for that at the moment, you can't manually cycle through the current backgrounds compressed inside the theme :(

As it's been posted earlier, I didn't know about it and it's too late now anyways but next time I'll enter if I can :)


Aside from that, for the next theme, I'll have one in blue/red both with and without sounds and some people prefer it without and trophies icons and I'll add the new flag requested aswell, I'm installing FW 2.40 as we speak, see if the in-game XMB uses my assets or default ones :embarrassed:

Hopefully SCEJ releases an update to the theme compiling program!

Oh and, I know I've been late with this but I got the new website almost done aswell as the tools to make a PSP version :)

EDIT: omfg I just checked my theme under 2.4 and it changed the playlists, turn off system, trophies and **** into the regular "NO icons" with the big question mark, which means they updated it, LET IT BE MINE, i'm gonna finish that woohoo! (the trophy icon from the winning race page from GT5p, here we go!) :D

So, does this mean that many of my themes won't look right anymore?


If that's the case, then when you get this fixed it means that your theme will be the only one that looks right.

I'll have to check when I get home. The update was installing when I left the house this morning.
 
I was hoping they'd allow these customisations sometime. To be honest I prefer the question mark to the standard playlist theme that they used to force you to use as at least these follow the same design.:)

I noticed that when you access the XMB in game that it just uses the default icons rather than Alba's which is a bit of a shame but not exactly a problem.

I used to have custom icons for each of the videos & albums but now I prefer the leave them blank because I prefer the icon's you've made. Is it possible to do them same with the Game & Photo icons?

I am just guessing, but I think it doesn't do that because the in-game XMB is actually just a simulated XMB that is reading your files and nothing more. I think the only truly active part is the Friends List.

I say this because when you switch games from the in-game XMB it will exit the game, go to the full XMB (with custom theme shown) for a few seconds, and then jump into the new game.

I think that if it showed the custom theme in-game it would use more resources, which may be in demand already if you are running an intense game.

Or, and someone may want to try this since I am at work, perhaps during the in-game you have to go into the theme settings and apply your custom theme.

Again, this is all just guessing.

They're inside the theme file already, they're just not showing up for some weird reason :(

Could it be possible that you could make a new page on your website with just the ps3 theme(no archives)?
 
Just a small thing, but you misspelled Puerto Rico in the 1.3 summary. Other than that I can not wait at all untill this is released :D
 
I wonder why? Maybe, er, it's because he has a life to live as well, rather than just please people like you? If what you've done is so good, share it with him and work with him instead of acting clever.
