update 1.05 - Ensure you follow the AUP when posting

The prize rise is going to stay. It's update based not online based. I just completed the DTM nurburgring and got 99.000 coins. Around 12% increase and I was not online, the server was down. To lower them back they have to put it in the next patch and that's not gonna happen. Just a holidays marketing trick. And its great. If this was for Christmas I wonder what PD got planned for New Year. :)

Why isn´t it limited? You can expect a patch at the end of January and everything could be set to standard.

But as we all know, it will keep like it is now because of it´s positive feedback.
 
@ all everyone complaining about the new car dealer option: are you aware of all the whining people protesting about not being able to buy the car they desperately needed?
PD just realized that the used lot random system was just to “random” and so made a few of those most desired cars available.
I still haven't got the 5 million but sure am glad I don't have to wait forever for the FGT!

I’ve already updated but haven’t had a chance to play just yet; can anyone tell me what type of tuning – if any – is allowed in the online time trials (not the races). I’ve only seem a hp limit; does that mean you can perform weight reduction and other such mods (sure hope not!)?
 
Sorry for the dumb question, but as Im grinding now to see the new XP and Credits, do you get anything for the drift trial and the time trial in the new seasonal events? :) Thanks guys.

Yes, the event's 'Seasonal Events' have 'Total Prize' and 'Total Experience' on the left. Make sure you click the specific event first though.

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about PD. Keep fixing the game! Good update. My online racing crew just did 100 laps of Daytona last week. Sure would have been nice to get paid for it. Now we will this week.

Anyone got pics of the tail lights before and after the update for Acura NSX 91? I didn't notice anything wrong with it to begin with.
 
Completed the Seasonal events earlier (the 5 races). Balance and A-spec Level went sky rocketing :D:D

It happened to me too after I download version 1.02
I delete the installment of GT5 (about 6,5 giga)
Then start my GT5 again, then update
It's work....
Last night I've downloaded version 1.05
I got freeze again after download
Now I delete again the installment of GT5 (about 7giga after update 1.05)
DO NOT DELETE DATA THAT CONTAIN PROGRESS OF YOUR (500kb)
Now I starting download again..... Slow connection here....
200minutes left.....
If you doubt doing this, wait for me.... I'll tell you soon
 
I have been reading this entire thread while watching my bob's thrash around the green hell in the FGT
maybe it's just me but
have the b-spec AI stopped doing that " i'm letting you thru.....no i'm not ! i'm cutting you up" thing?
my bobs don't seem to be being held up as much by the AI anymore
is this just my imagination?
 
Downloading now. First thing I did as I got in the door lol. Gotta say it is quite nice to see lots of positive threads on the first page instead of the same old whining. 👍
 
I envy you all for having this patch all day, while I was first asleep and then went to work! Had to readall about it while on the way to work, and then had a 12 hour day! FML.

Looks like a good patch though, installing now. Sad i missed the fun.

Maybe the 1.05 Update gave them all New Brains :lol:
 
I just drove a couple of laps around Nurburgring in an Audi R8 4.2, with no on-screen data/icons at all. Lights off in the lounge, big tv, surround sound. Absolutely AMAZING; felt like I was really there.

I'm madly in love with this game again. Well played PD 👍

I'll try this now. I am gonna be very upset if my progress has to be deleted after the file backup update comes out...
 
The No HUD option is awesome. I have mostly been using hood/roof view during my time with the game because so much of the HUD took up too much space on the screen. Making cockpit view difficult, for me, to race in. Now though, I LOVE it. Love it like politicians love hookers.

The game already looked unbelievable, but now with no HUD, it looks even better. The immersion has skyrocketed....The graphics are just so beast, and coupled with the physics and other features, this game is near perfect to me.

That always happens to me when I update GT5 or GT5P. I'm reluctant to try to update now knowing that 605MB will probably stall at 604MB :)

Damn, I'm really excited to try these new updates.

Wondering why I couldn't find it.Not sure the point of it in practise mode and not in the A-spec races.
Everything else is good,especially the restart and settings icons after a race.But no mech damage in A-spec takes the shine away from the update :indiff:
