update 1.05 - Ensure you follow the AUP when posting

Wondering why I couldn't find it.Not sure the point of it in practise mode and not in the A-spec races.
Everything else is good,especially the restart and settings icons after a race.But no mech damage in A-spec takes the shine away from the update :indiff:

:lol: Can't you imagine the reaction in this forum if they had done that? It might sound great to you and I, but most people here can't stand the AI and I imagine we'd have people complaining about losing races because the AI bumped into them causing them to have to pit.

Or people could complain the game being too easy, cause all AIs end up destorying each other... :sly:

Option for off, light and heavy would suit all.
Maybe bonus credits/xp for races completed with heavy damage.
 
I have never gone online yet because so never got a chance to try the damage. I went into practice mode and set it to heavy damage and crashed my car into something. The mechanical damage is nice. One crash and my car was jacked up. I'm very pleased.
 
No hud is great, but how dumb do you have to be not to include it in REPLAY too?

Otherwise, not much for me in this patch, i honestly expected general leaderboards but now i doubt it will ever happen :(
 
I want another option - keep HUD, but remove the flashing red gear indicator!
A limited setting like in GT4, maybe even remove the driver list on the right and the map on the left.

You need the HUD for standard cars
 
No more loading out of a race to restart, the old exit screen like previous gt games it back, you can simply start the race straight away after finishing. Thats also very handy for when you have the wrong car setup

But as an option it would be OK.I've not had a problem with the AI myself,there genius next to r-Factor.
If you blind spot them they can turn into you but most of the time they seem fair if you respect them like you would a human opponent.

Apparently the update made the reward for silvering part of the AMG challenge that Mercedes, so if you had done it already you get a free car. :D
 
OMG, this is freaking sweet. What a great update. I can redo races without going all the way back to the choice screen, NO HUD, what a way to go. Keep it up PD, now lets see about adding an online paintshop.
 
i just transferred my save file from the ps3 in my living room to the one in my room and noticed that the pictures of the cars don't show up in the garage, this happen to anyone else?

Replays and Images always seem to be not part of the core game save data. I just export the photos I want to keep to the XMB and then store those on USB, same with the replays I really want to keep. That way I keep my photos and replays to a managable level.

On the subjecy of damage in Practice Mode (where I spend most of my time not racing) - who know how "realistic" it is, but the impact (pun intended) of wreckless driving is felt right away. You have just a slight off and the fender is dented and the wheel is impacted - you feel it and notice it. What a great way to force clean driving ;)

I can't wait to check out the new mechanical damage. I would like to see mechanical damage in Arcade mode too. I have the patch, but Bob is on overtime putting in some grinding. He is pissed and has been grinding for days on end. I've got two more levels until I get my X1.

I agree (not with the red gear indicator) but with removing the name list. Also want the chat box to not keep appearing during online. Playing the ring at night and constantly getting the box appearing is getting on my nerves.

I think there's an option to 'create thumbnail' if you press triangle when on a car in your garage.
 
Love that we have online credit and XP now. Don't love that I battled my way from 12th to 2nd on a shuffle race at the 24hr Nurb in a Turbo Vitz, had a really good race with the guy in 3rd in a Silvia and just beat him across the line, only for the server to disconnect at race end and me not get any credit or XP for placing 2nd. ;(

Mega-pissed.
 
there's a lot of progress happened on the last update love the Seasonal Events
great job but still no fast forward buttons on the replay it's very simple i guess,

[GT Mode]-[GT Life] have been increased for a limited time only. (This applies until the end of January 2011.) .. why ?? not forever as they pay from their pockets

still forza 3 a head in features and rewards even for the car data ,tuning, paint jobs and modifications, "sorry but am in love with forza as well" and turn 10 respect the motor heads it's not always about driving but the character of the car matters, but when it come to driving theirs no comparison.

You have to fully install it on your second PS3. You can also create a thumbnail by pressing Triangle.

It's there 👍

People tend to say it's unlocked in Practice Mode only probably because Arcade seems to be one of the most underplayed gametypes in the game. I personally visit it even more now since another undocumented change was that Arcade races now always have 15 other cars, rather than 11.
 
I can't download this new update. While installing it always goes to about 12% and an error message comes up. Could anybody help me. For those who want to know the error code is 80029564
