You don't even have to do that much. Just make sure your PS3 is connected to the internet and load up the game.

Also since update my game is staying on the colored GT logo screen with the online terms and conditions twice now and having to restart game.

We can remotely control the PS3 on the web(anywhere) to play with friends' bobs. On the web, we could control the PS3 which needs to be turn on "standby mode", and the PS3 will start if we start the race on web.

It ranks each car on a scale of 1 to 1000 based on bhp, weight and other aspects.

It's to enhance car matching when racing. At present a 300bhp limit when racing online can result in one person driving a 1500kg car and another in a 700kg Elise - but both with 300bhp. With performance points, you can set a limit of say 400 PP, creating closer matching cars for racing together - ie. one 400pp car might have 200bhp and weigh 1000kg, and another 400pp car might have 100bhp more but weight 250kg more.

Thank you PD for adding more Ferrari F1 races. My 12.5mil credit purchase of the F2007 is finally paying off.

Just finished the Ferrari race @ Suzuka & I can't get this Cheshire cat grin off my face. The 200k + payout is part of the reason.

Just updated and yes, PD were true to their word and have re-broken the money element of the game. Grinding still rules. This must be a aspect of Japanese mentality westerners don't understand or something.

Still no G25/27 support either.

Anyone confirm its new and/or what it does?

Yeah, ballast is there. Should make it easier to fine tune PP levels.

One more add, when moving between cars in replay or b-spec, there's no screen to click through. Just jog up to the car you want to follow and click.

Love everything except online play is very disappointing. For ex. I can run X1 against 700hp cars. If you set it to PP then you cant use the X1 but you can still get several cars such as minolta's in against say xanavi gtr and the Minolta will wax it. Should be able to take 50% power down. Would've been better if they just let you put back on the weight reductions or change motor upgrades. Any thoughts?

When you finish a remote race, one golden dot will appear which means you have raced one time and credits are there. When you "harvest" the credits , the dot will disappear.

Damage is improved, the cars get damaged quicker. My Zonda R normally never changes, one race it took a beating and was visible!

To start a remote B-spec race you need to have your PS3 turned on, GT5 running in stand-by mode from GT Home then on a web browser go to gran-turismo.com sign in in My Home and start a remote race from there.
