So I was running on SSRX the other day and noticed that the bumper cam view is pretty quiet, like inside the car quiet. Then watching the replay, the sound went back to normal. Has anyone else noticed this or has it been like this for awhile?

Final round of GT Academy 2014

Haha, so we basically have a final round we can practice on with the exact same car and course. Thanks PD, now I can actually have a shot at the final

Yesterday I did some racing and I think I've found a new, really annoying, bug !?

I was playing a bit with horse power and weights to reach the perfect amount of Nm, power and weight for a fast lap on Suzuka. But changing the settings in A, B or C will affect your other 2 settings as well.
It was with the Lexus GT500 SC430 on Suzuka (full track).

Could anyone solve this one for me.

Earlier today I was racing on IB races and for the tour of Europe and Tour of Japan I was only getting 11 cars on the grid including myself and I started at the back of the grid.

I tried IA races and again I was faced with a 15 man grid begining from last place.

Therefore I thought it was something from build 1.07. I thought I'd mention it on this as an undocumented change.

Now this evening I go back to GT and I am now faced with a full 12 racer grid on IB and 16 on IA.

I think I'm just going mad, I wonder what my wife's been feeding me :)

What?? I'm going to practice on Spa with the GT-R Nismo '13, you know, the car in the dealership. Not sure about your post or what exactly it is supposed to mean.

Cargo, any idea what sort of lap times your expecting? Anyone else got an idea for target lap times?

Spa?? I was not expecting that. That makes this year's GT Academy the first one to use an existing track since the very first one in 2008.

I'd better get practising :D

Interestingly though, we still don't know what track the GT-R will be used on next week and again, its worth mentioning that the challenge opens up on the exact same day as the second Senna slideshow unlocks.

No idea as I haven't attempted it yet. I have a few things to do then I should be able to get some laps in, probably in a few hours. I might even start up a thread somewhere where we can all compare lap times. 💡 Just fyi, all I did was buy the car...no oil change or anything. Even if things do change as suggested by someone earlier, it is still good practice either way. 👍 You know me, never afraid to do any kind of practicing.

If you're insinuating at a new track surely it would have had to be in the 1.07 update, since there won't be another update before Monday.

What's wrong with the idea of a new track?

True but also, no one has ever looked through the code for any hidden tracks so far, only cars so for all we know it could be there and none of us know it. Its just interesting that all that digging through the code got us another VGT car, both of the other two GT Academy cars (Not a surprise one of them is the GTR GT3 since the Silvia is no longer relevant) and info on the final event but nothing on the 3rd event and it just so happens to be on the same day we get abit more Senna related stuff on the site. Its just an observation I made.

Oops, wrong choice of word there. Anyway all I meant is no new tracks were seen by hackers in the 1.07 update and since there won't be another one before Monday, it's highly unlikely there will be a new track in the third event.

I could be wrong but i'm sure the hackers will have scoured every piece of code they could in the updates. Tracks are not hard to spot either, since they'll be ~100Mb or more.

...snip...

So can we assume we're back to normal as far as total cars on the grid? Anyone else seeing 1 less car on the grid or the usual 12 or 16?

Also, I need some confirmation of new or different signage at the Nurb. A couple of people have mentioned it but I'd like some before and after photo confirmation just to be sure.

When ever I race in the game, i've only seen it in Arcade as of this post, I get a "notification" at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen telling me the buttons to press. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Go to settings and turn it off.

@Johnnypenso

- The "Keyboard Switching Feature" has been added. A USB keyboard can be used to switch the "Information Display" and to change the view.

In fact a USB keyboard can also be used to switch the target car as well.

Additionally, a Bluetooth keyboard may be used as an alternative to a USB keyboard. This has been tested using the Sony keyboard which clips onto the DS3 controller. Since this particular keyboard is not equipped with function keys (F1, F2 etc.), it can't be used to switch views.

Any idea which buttons perform what function?

Sorry for the confused post...But you answered me: Spa\GT-R Nismo. 👍
