Update Notice (1.09)
A new update has been released for Gran Turismo 5.
The main contents of the update are as follows:

[Correction of Issues]
We have corrected an issue where it was possible to take shortcuts on certains layouts of the Nürburgring track.

Another update to fix glitch ¬¬

It's just ridiculous how lazy PD is. Half the seasonal events have been there for 2 MONTHS. They could at least refresh the OCD.

That's true also without people cutting tracks we would probably already have Endurance race saves.

Yeah...PD would like to get the in race saves done, but can't, because they have to spend their time fixing a glitch, the glitch fix is far more important. If they didn't fix the Nurburgring glitch imagine what might happen.

I saw on the news last night that tokyo is having power shortages and businesses are having rationed electricity with no lighting/aircon/elevators etc so any update is very welcome, thankyou PD.

Have we had a worthwhile update yet? We still can't save championships/endurance races, the graphical glitches still exist and, worst of all, the AI still sucks (not to mention the god forsaken collision sounds).

Not a word regarding new tracks or anything else worth getting excited about...

Ouch, lots of unwarranted comments in here attacking PD, really some of us really need to spend some time away from the PS3.

Anyway I certainly hope that the patch fixes more anomalies in the game, I would really like to see tire type affecting PP or at least have the ability to enable it and disable it. More restrictions for the rooms, like drivetrain and car class type road car, race car, race modded road car, that sort of thing.

I'll update in the morning as I am not going back online to check it out. A bit on the lazy side.

Wow pure PD bashing. I expected the topic to be about what else besides the Ring hole plug was in that 49 mb update. The Seasonals and OCD are not part of updates they are data set up on their end which our systems read like a barcode. And 49 mb is way too hugeto be a simple invisible polygon. So it must have been other things that they didn't think worth mentioning, or these out of track exploit fixes are much more intensive than one would think.

This update was so pointless.. let the people cheat and worry about more important things, such as G25/27/Fanatec Compatibility and Enduro Saves. I understand there was an earthquake/tsunami, but come on.. if they had been working on it since then, it would've been here on this update.

What about fixing the reward system for races? We should be getting more credits and xp when we get to harder races, especially the endurance races, but we don't earn substantially more than the beginner races.

Let the glitchers gitch. They just want the 1000 something virtual cars that they paid 60+ real dollars for.

I just want matchmaking, better online filters, and host options.

I wanna say "c'mon PD! Step it up already!". But considering the situation, it's understandable.

Would it really be that hard though to program a matchmaking system? Any real programmers here?

What gets me is they were incredibly QUICK to fix a glitch that was actually helpful to the players earning cash to buy the more expensive cars. But when it comes to making changes to improve the game...takes them forever!

Maybe because new content takes a while to make. (Read: 6 months per car) and Patches take all but a few minutes to find the flaw and fix it?

I would think they would need to send a new map out entirely. I don't know how the tracks are constructed but it could make sense for either the map itself or the instructions driving it to take up that space.

Perhaps I will experiment with a custom track to see what the of file size is.

I sincerely thank you PD for this excellent update that fixes the glitches and makes people do some work for the money in the game. Hard way is the best way. Also, save feature in the middle of the race is pointless, don't bother with that.
