One more thing to add to the update. You no longer have to press O, the X to exit a menu. You can now exit just by pressing O!

Why would you create such a visually beautiful game...and not give people basic VCR functions with replay? Seriously...how 🤬 hard is that? Practically every single game in the racing genre has included this feature. So much so, it's not even a 'feature' anymore, it's a given. This game is so polarizing to me. Some parts of the game are genius, and other parts are 20 years behind the curve. Other parts don't make a bit of sense.

I agree on the dichotomy that is GT5. The photo mode is quite fun, but if you miss that instant in time you want photos of then you have to start the replay over. I can't believe some one at PD doesn't think a simple 10s rew/ff feature is a priority. They give you these fun features that have half the functionality they should have. Very frustrating.

Who in the hell was asking for new outfits and helmets. Last time I checked most GT5 gamers had penises. Sure it's quaint, but when I think of the amount of time some one spent on that and not on the glaring failures; it pisses me off. I'm not one who is going to put the PS3 back in the closet or some crap like that. GT5 is a great addition to the driving sim. game library. Will there be things to fix until GT6 is on store shelves. Yes, but fix the big issues first.

I hope when they do endurance saves that it's not like the Championship interrupt. The longest I am likely going to play in one sitting is 4 hours. That still means it'll take 6 days. Maybe I want to race online in the interim. Correct me if I am wrong, but the new Championship interrupt doesn't allow that.

Since they already have a model where it doesn't have it on.
Lotus Esprit V8 '02 for instance would look sooooo awesome without a spoiler.

It's like getting served chicken nuggets on expensive chinaware. We say, yes, that's nice, but can we also get fries? And they give you peas. Some people say...peas? We didn't ask for or need peas. Why peas? Other people say "yay! PEAS! its the GREATEST" Meanwhile, I'm looking at another table of people, and although their chinaware isn't as nice as ours, they've got quality food.

GT5 is such a great game at the core. Graphics, physics. The foundation is there, and it's the best. However, the omission of these basic racing features really flattens the overall experience. It makes me think about going over and eating at the other table...but I stay because if the chinaware is good...eventually, they'll put good food on it....right?!? (sorry if my analogy isn't clear)

People are excited about suits and helmets? Really? I can't help but to think that there are some Xbox fanboys reading about this and laughing their collective butts off.

I just love the purchase on-the-run function.
No more leaving a room just to get some tires for tire restricted events or needing to get a weaker turbo or simply purchasing the tranny tunes.

There is a Lotus Esprit V8 GT '98 without a spoiler but it's obviously a standard.

I really hope my drag ind. Gear ratios setup for my vipers are still the same w the correction of the top speed .. I didn't whrite them down anywhere I just used a second memory stick as a "safe"... I got the setup just before the outage... anyone could confirm .. thanks guys

When selecting a track created in Course Maker from the course album of Arcade Mode or GT Mode, players can now run single races with up to 16 cars. (Excluding some tracks such as those made before the update, and dirt tracks.)

Are they referring to 1.10 as the "update?" Does that mean there were supposed to be new courses with this update?

Improved Opponent AI Algorithm

I haven't seen any comments on this but I don't notice any difference. Arcade, hardest level, damage on, no assists, AI is just as bad as before. Get within half a car length and the AI drops off the throttle. Bummer, was really hoping for an improvement in this area. 👎

I love analogies and that's a really good one!! And I agree with most of your other sentiments. Fix the major problems first and foremost. The people working on the Suits and Helmets could have been working on something else (like cleaning up the awful textures of some of the standard cars).

I couldn't find an option to change the oil which disappointed the hell out of me. Altho hopefully it could be implemented in a similar way to what they've done with this patch. Hopefully a later patch will have it in the engine section of settings.

In real life 24 hour races (Le Mans) you MUST HAVE min 3 drivers.

Convert it to GT5 = 3 save.

even an eye blink voltage change may shut down your PS3 when you're in 24H, does that sounds good ?

Well 3 saves doesn't entirely make sense, because in the real 24H race there are usually 3 drivers per car, and usually make a 3-4H stint, therefore drivers drive about 2-3 times per car, so 6-8 saves would make sense, thus giving us 4H stints for our selfs.
