This game is famouos for replicating the real driving experience correct?

In real life 24 hour races (Le Mans) you MUST HAVE min 3 drivers.

Convert it to GT5 = 3 save.

Stop nonsense posting about 'loosing purpose on race"...

even an eye blink voltage change may shut down your PS3 when you're in 24H, does that sounds good ?

He has a point... For those who don't wanna save a prefer to pause the ps3 and rest, do that... But some of us won't be able to afford a repair if it goes wrong... Such as me. My ps3 screws up and that's it... I'll have to attempt a repair myself...

3 saves would mean at least 8 hours of the ps3 running in one of them, not including the breaks most people would probably need and take in those 8+ hours. I would say at least 4.

Granted, we do have 9 hour races, so 3 is certainly reasonable.

Can anyone tell me what cars and at what price they are in the OCD? I'm at work and I can't see (yea I know, should be working and not posting in here ). Anyway, I think the update is really good. The endurance race saves would be a great option but I guess we will have to wait a while longer. the championship saves are already a big step .

Nice update, to whoever said it's an insignificant update, I think you're wrong. It added really nice thing I wanted long ago! The option to buy upgrades while @ online session, fricking about time they add this! The profile pose pictures is kinda funny but cool, I like it.

That's what I thought. The more I think about it, the more complicated it sounds. The way I thought about it is being able to save like in rpg games, or even more dynamic like pokemon where you pick off exactly where you left off, without the need to find a saving point (in this case, probably the pitstops if it were to use one).

In any case, if they manage to do it, they probably would be the first ones to do so in a racing game.

From what I've experienced, you've got to have the perfect race, and I mean perfect. After your first lap, each one after will have to be around the 2'03.xxx to even have a shot.

It's hard as hell, and I gotta put it down till later tonight. Before I give it another go, I'll get some practice in with the other seasonals, kinda like a pallet cleanser.

Its pointless to expect anything anymore. Sad state of affairs really. I do not have the time now, but I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to try and bring together any members of the community with legitimate experience in the video game industry (coding, art, UI design, anything) etc and send all their resume's to PD, to say, we are not just going to complain, we want to help. I seriously think PD needs help. I do not think they can compete in this world as the closed off company they are. In a world where T10 has over 400 employees working for them. I am sure they have a great close nit culture, and part of this is no doubt due to their Japanese heritage, and that no doubt brings something special to the game, but their series has gone from the most prestigious racing game on the market to a relative afterthought. If you talk to people outside of the internet, its "whats GT? All I know is FM and NFS." I am not saying GT should become all soft and bland, but it needs a serious formula overhaul.

Look at E3 all these developers talking about how the community drives their game, and almost none of it is BS. GT is probably one of the most closed off series I have seen.

Read an article about why that is. The new Xbox came out so much sooner than the PS3. Sony is #3 in console sales. Developers had a head start in making games for the Xbox and have been able to fully utilize it's entire capability. Whereas developers haven't touched the full capability of the PS3 yet. The hope for Sony is to get the PS4 out the door ahead of the Xbox4. It's too late to cut into the Wii maket since they will be out first with their new system.

Looks like GT5 is the new platform for future games. That's based on the kind of work they did in the update. Why would you make certain changes; like ballast and checking the health of resting drivers if you weren't planning to use it in the future.

Is anyone else having serious issues with the download time? Every time I attempt to download the patch the timer says it will take over 200 minutes and I have 50mb broadband!

That "community drives our game" argument is played out.
T10 don't listen to the community as much as PD do.
180SX, not in the game.
Adjustable wheels offset, not in the game (even the crap nfs carbon did that)

The list can go on. And those things were asked for since fm2 by a significant part of the official forum community.

Same goes for PD (they almost initiated that move).

Lol, you're probably right, and I don't really need the money. I was just having a tantrum earlier. But seriously, the ONLY thing that will give this game a second wind (for me) is laptime leaderboard with "friends" filter, and the ability to race my friends ghost cars. I really don't care about new helmets for Bob. Until leaderboards arrive, its going back on the shelf... ummm... after I've done the latest (very good) seasonal event.

Another notable "fix" not listed in the description for the update - exiting a room or lounge drops you into the Online Lobby (as opposed to the Home Screen). Very nice... The updates were def worth it (IMO).
