I'm sorry to burst your bubble but it will likely be there. As it is an electric vehicle like the BMW i3, and the fact that it has no gearbox either, it could make some sense.

My also likely theories are that hybrids without gearboxes (either CVT or direct drive, like if the Toyota Prius G '09 or the Koenigsegg Regera were to be in the game) would also end up in Gr. X.

The Mazda Demio Sport '11 from GT6, if it were to also return, even if it's a pure car, would likely be in Gr. X due to CVT.

The Honda NSX and the Ferrari LaFerrari are in the N-classes because they have gearboxes and yet they are hybrids.

Why don't PD make group x cars race against each other instead of the car races itself doesn't make sense to me

P1 is 3.600.000 and F50 is 1.900.000, if I'm not mistaken.

Forza gets the new M8 GTE and we get - a Tesla. I know there's a few other cars but there's still nothing new, as in current race or road. Now don't get me wrong, i love all these free updates and appreciate what they do. It's just i can't help but feel that it's concentrating too much on past franchise cars and novelty road cars rather than something the game would truly benefit from such as current GT3 and 4 cars and GTEs.

You have to distinguish who said what? Mainly media and "casual" players said there are not enough old cars and road cars in the game. Those who bought the game to race mainly with GT and LMP1 cars didn't say this.

There has been NOTHING current added since the Alpine A110 Premiere Edition, and i use the term current loosely on that as it's a 2017 car! (2017 race cars released in 2018 don't count, they are not current!)

I don't understand why everyone complains so much. I've been playing since GT2 and I appreciate and am excited for every update they release.

@MroczMR Even in real life at auctions the F50's are going about the same price as the F40, whereas the 288 GTO has always been valued at even a higher price. Probably got to do with rarity. As they made an enormous 1311 F40's and only 272 GTO's and 349 F50's. As far as Gran Turismo, the F40 has always been valued at 450,000 credits since it's GT series debut in GT 5 Prologue, through to it's very early inclusion in GT Sport. And since then new cars added have had over inflated prices. I think PD have just changed their in game pricing policy through GT Sport's constant updated life cycle and the inclusion of microtransactions have dictated that.

It is time for more race cars in updates. The majority of GT Sport players would rather drive those than some mini cooper. I know the minority is happy, yes Gran Turismo is about all types of cars, but this game is often seen as a racing game and eventually we need cars like the 488 soon (road car and touring versions).

We only have 1 GTE car and it is placed with GT3 cars in Gr. 3 (the 911 RSR).
Game is called GT "Sport" so lets see some WEC cars soon hopefully.

I get the want for new GT3, but honestly Gr.3 is already pretty crowded as it is. Not saying there's real GT3/GTE cars I'd prefer over a lot of the crop (crop) currently filling out Gr.3, but I more than welcome the variety of road cars to the game as well.

I was gonna reply and say it was so you couldn't get the likes if the i3 racing against the Gr.X McLaren, but then I remembered that you can do a Custom race in a Gr.1 against N100 (or vice versa)!

But yea it doesn't make much sense i'm afraid/ Id love to do a race with the Nostalgic LeMans racers (without the other slower cars)!!
