Hmmmm... But we've had an update during an FIA season, so that may not be correct.

That makes manufacturer selection a bit of a gamble if the physics/BoP changes halfway through the season. If I took manufacturers cup seriously I wouldn't be happy about that timing.

R34, NSX and Supra, all from JGTC.

Yes, I'll make a risky speculation. I think this JGTC trio will come at some point, not necessarily for the February update.

I got this conclusion based on a few things:

1 - We already got 2 generations of Super GT (you know, previously JGTC) in the game, 2008 and 2016. A pack for the late 90's or early 00's cars seems to complete that "trilogy of eras".

2 - Assuming that the R34 and the NSX never made into the premium form in the past of the series, these 2 could be a great chance for the returning standards of an update.

3 - Last but not least, these are important cars for the series. If PD is bringing back a lot of 90's JDM cars to hit the nostalgia, they should really take note of the JGTC return at some point.
We've got a similar tribute to those cars in the Real Circuit Tours.
The faux Mobil 1 livery NSX, Nismo livery R34 GT-R, Pennzoil livery R33 GT-R and Le Mans A80 Supra. Also, GT300 inspired RE-Amemiya Aspira Drink FD RX-7.

... and that's why it is an Exhibition Season...

what really bugged me, is that 1.33 was an update to fix bugs.
After that i got DC'ed in the first FIA Lobby i joined...
And we STILL have the Pit-Exit-Bug...

So i'm making a wild speculation here... "1.34 will fix bugs", now reminde me that this isn't a wishlist thread please.

I don't know why you guys think we wont have another update this month when it clearly happened before.

Hopefully this time with an exciting track and not a test track like SSRX. Still lots of real world tracks that have to be in this game. I'd pay 20$/€ for a DLC pack with Silverstone, Spa, Road America, Imola, Twin Ring Motegi or an original track pack with Midfield Raceway, Autumn Ring, Apricot Hill Raceway, Grand Valley Speedway and Trial Mountain.

I guess the latter they will hold back for the next GT.

Yeah, I can imagine the next GT being very traditional loaded with Classic Original tracks, Used cars, GT Auto and Tuning.
At this point, I'm not even sure will see another GT game on PS4. So unless Poly changes its mind, hundreds of cars but no car modifications for years. Poly should bring this feature back in this case.

Next GT game is rumored to be "PS5".

named like GT World Tour, GT World.

Sounds pretty realistic? Why would PD do a GT6 again with poor sales for a GT.

Ok, so I'll finally come out with my predictions, which hopefully are all based on at least some form of trend or reasoning that I believe could be going on in the heads of those at PD who decide which cars to release.

One noticeable theme was the Ferrari supercars. They basically completed the lot with GTO, F40, F50, Enzo & LaFerrari (and even the 250GTO as the granddaddy of them all). I think we can expect them to add the other premium models from GT6 at some point, but the ones they already released (512BB, 330) were well chosen according to their significance. In my opinion, the next ones in terms of significance would be the 365GTB Daytona and the 250 Passo corto. I'm curious, if they will bring some newer machinery like a 488, 812 or Portofino, but I think it's less likely.
Most likely next car: 365GTB Daytona

Which brings me directly to Porsche. From the currently available cars it seems to me that they are seeing the GT3 as the prime 911-variant (probably because it's the purest driving machine), so they are trying to complete its heritage. After 991, 997 & 996, it's a bit less obvious which models would best fit that lineage. In my opinion a 930 Turbo or a Carrera RS 2.7 would fit the description. A logical step for me would also be the equivalent of Ferrari's top tier. In Porsche terms that would be the 959, Carrera GT and the 918 Spyder. (Those would be top of my wishlist, but I dare not hope we will get them soon)
In terms of race cars, the most obvious would be either 917, 956 or 962.
Most likely next car: Carrera RS 2.7

I feel Mercedes is currently one of the more underused brands, so my bet is the 300SL Gullwing will reappear quite soon. The GT series featured the then-current versions of the "SL" several times, but currently the SL has become even more of a luxury car, so it doesn't really fit into the game that well. The SLR McLaren may make a comeback at some point.
Most likely next car: 300SL

Regarding BMW, there's only 2 more M3's to add now. One is not that iconic (E36), but I would expect the E46 to appear one day, hopefully in its CSL-variant. I tend to think though, that we'll see the 507 again much sooner.
Most likely next car: 507

It's also pretty likely from what we've seen, that they are working on completing the Corvette-history. So, C1, C4, C5 & C6 are still missing. Anyone's guess which one is next, but there were premium models for the C5 & C6 already. Most likely next car: C6 ZR-1

Some more Lamborghini cars are also pretty likely, so I would expect the Murcielago, Gallardo and also the second Countach to arrive eventually.
Most likely next car: Murcielago SV

Other anthologies to be completed or expanded upon:
MX-5, Type R, Fairlady, Kei cars, Skyline
Most likely next cars: MX-5(NA), Civic Type R(EK), Fairlady(Z34), Suzuki Cappuccino

Other cars that are likely to return because of their historical significance and because there already was a premium model in GT6: Lexus LFA, Pagani Huayra, Lancia Stratos, Renault R8 Gordini, Honda S2000, Camaro Z28 '69

That much for returning cars. New cars though are anyone's guess really, but I would deem there's a chance we will some day see some of the following:
Toyota Supra '19 (because PD was involved with the Racing Concept's launch already)
Aston Martin Vantage '18 (just a hunch)
Bugatti Gr.3 (this is an oddity, as Bugatti is the only brand with a Gr.4, but no Gr.3 car; but would it be a Veyron, Chiron...??)

And finally here's some iconic cars that ought to be included at some point in the game, but who would know what PD thinks in that regard? So this is obviously not based off of anything except for the fact that they have included a surprisingly large number of cars that would make it on to some top 10-list of cars from each decade, but somehow these have not made it into the game yet...
Aston Martin DB5, BMW M1, Audi quattro/Sport quattro (and yes, I know there was a standard quattro)

I'll pack up my tea leaves now...

If a returning premium Volkswagen is going to be in the next update, I think it's going to be most likely these three cars:
  • Volkswagen Golf IV GT1 '01
  • Volkswagen Golf VI R '10
  • Volkswagen Scirocco R '10
The only generation Golf in the game currently is only the VII and we only have a Gr. 4 version of the Scirocco. So I expect to see these show up soon. The recent trend for returning Volkswagens has been the air-cooled classics such as the 1200 and the Type 2. But I don't think the Kubelwagen or Schwimmwagen will show up anytime soon just because they'd be too unorthodox for GT Sport. But then again, this is PD. And the Fiat 500 and the Type 2 are very unorthodox.

I have a hunch that a rotary is going to be added this update. The RX500 was added 4 updates ago, and the FC RX 7 was added 5 updates before that (4 if we don't count April). The most likely it would be the '07 RX 8 Type S. The Cosmo Sports / 110S would be an option if they wanted to revive a standard car as it's an important car in Mazda's history. The Mercedes C111 is an option but an astronomically long shot, but I thought I'd never see an F50 in Gran Turismo so fingers crossed?

I like what what Kunos did with AC Competizione in providing a road map. Damned if you do, damned if you don't though. Release a road map and miss a date, which can happen, and the mob would gather with pitchforks. GT Sport mobs just wander around in the dark with their pitchforks calling out "Spa? Can you hear me? Hellooooo? Spa?"

Shoot me, but I think that for this exact reason, GT Sport's downloadable content is the most exciting to anticipate and wait for this side of Smash Bros. character reveals.

IMO we would get the Furai before any of those

Yeah, I don’t disagree as I spend most of my time on :gtplanet: in these threads. The trill of the unknown, hope of Spa and rain and the crushing disappointment of a 30ish km loop. Rinse and repeat every month. It’s such a good base with so much potential I keep coming back.

What makes you think there is going to be a physics change? We just had one and iirc it has never been a monthly thing.

Idk, it is sitting right behind a model of a C2 Vette and that was added. While it might not come soon, I wouldn't say it's a stretch.

A possibility, yes, but not guaranteed.

Yup I think it is quite possible. It would complete the trio with the P1 and La Ferrari. Although the P1 should probably be the normal version.
