As for tracks, Spa is in the bottom 30 by Likes, in THIS community. Again, gtplanet is not all of the GT community, but it is telling that that track people are whining about, isn't even a top 10 thought.
Hardly a most wanted circuit then:lol: In fact, Sonoma has the most likes of any real-world circuit. So we should be whinging about that instead.

It's not even for modern Spa it's for Spa Franchorchamps 1921 - 1978 14.9 km version there's no modern one because it was already in game (GT5-GT6) so someone needs to put it for voting in suggestions thread...
...annnnd still no Spa-lovers posting it in the Suggestions. You do know people had added Cars & track suggestions since GT Sport debuted. Yes?

You really think PD has gone and redone all their cars? Takes 6 months to model a car.

They may have done a few but not all... Also some of the GT6 Semi-premium models looked decent like the R390, which was remodelled.

There haven't been any cars that got "touched up" in GT6 added to GT Sport yet. We've only had GT5/6 premiums and a small handful of standard cars. I don't recall many (if any) "semi-premium" cars even having separate body panels modeled outside of maybe the RUFs. They'd really require a remodel.

I know they have been no semi premiums in GT Sport.

Not saying they will but It's possible for them to upgrade them by subdivision, adding more vertices...

Body panels need smoother chamfers and fillets which can easily be done with modelling software.

It's harder and less stable to do when the initial latticework doesn't have high detail, the algorithm will make things inaccurate (if they go with an algorithm to subdivide). One of the big differences Kaz/PD talked about when talking about modeling PS2 vs. PS3 models with adaptive tessellation was the usage of squares/rectangles instead of triangles, which a majority of PS2 modeling used.

Simply due to the time they sourced the material with the technology available and/or the amount of work required to improve an outdated model it pretty much becomes more efficient to just start from scratch regardless.

It's a good thought but I just can't see it being a viable option for PD, if it was I think we'd have already seen several of them show up in the updates.

That said I think the R390 is a likely car regardless, PD did re-source the R92CP and haven't shied away from grabbing other historical cars from various brand's archives.

If there will be a GT award winner from either SEMA or Pebble Beach in the next content update, it'll be one of these four cars:
  • GoPro Rampage 1970 Camaro (2014 SEMA)
  • Ferrari 500 Mondial Pininfarina Coupe '54 (2012 PB)
  • Ford Coupe 'Bruce Levens' '51 (2016 SEMA)
  • Maserati A6GCS Spider '54 (2014 PB)
It would most likely be either the '70 Camaro or the '54 500 Mondial because these two cars have been skipped but if PD has decided to skip them again, then the next two in line would be the '51 Ford and the '54 Maserati.

Another GT Award Winner would be a Great Edition to GT Sport

I'm looking forward to see Rocha's G37 in Gran Turismo again in the future.

No I was born yesterday and first time heard of Gran Turismo

Cool. So what does this

have to do with NOT asking for it in GT Sport? Oh, I get it! For those that may have been born yesterday.

Now there's one in suggestions, but when it collects enough votes to sit on top GT9 or GT sport 4 will be released :D

One pattern in GT games in general so far was this:

Pebble Beach winners are being brought back in following iterations of the game (presumably because of the cars’ iconic status), while SEMA winners are only modelled once.

So, I wouldn’t get my hopes up that the SEMA winners from PS3 will return.

Supposing every GT Special Award car are planned for inclusion, to the rate one/month through regular content updates...

... we’re looking at another 20 months of Sport, as many new locations including extensions and, speculating rather conservatively, seven times as many other cars making it to the game.

But...
What happens after we have passed those 20...?
Will the servers be allocated to cater the next version of GT the month following the very last content update?

Would be a bit of a bummer if, say Spa proved to be the grand finale of locations added. Would’nt it?

Wich brings us back to the question if there is two years of life left in Sport?

If not, and supposing PD really do honor requests: make sure Your wishes for content are wise ones.;)

Time out. gtplanet may not represent the WHOLE GT community, but it is telling that in this forum, PD modelled the E30 and A80 Supra. Sure seems like they gave the GT community what they/we were asking for. They already demonstrated that.

Even before that, PD added Porsche to the game...Kaz' own Porsche is now in, officially.

I can’t help feeling this is the sort of flawed logic we see at PD.

It’s bizarre the E30 M3 wasn’t in GT back in 1997, never mind, in 2018. Same goes for the omission of the Supra, NSX and RX-7 from GT Sport’s launch. When you have humble road going Renault’s and Citroen’s it makes no sense to me.

The Porsche license was a late addition so we have to give PD some slack. That said, I don’t know who was asking for Kaz’s old 911, even though it does drive well. Launch models hit the mark with the 919, 911 RSR and Cayman GT4. The 356 was an historicly important addition but I would be disappointed if subsequent additions don’t prioritise models like the 962, 917, 935, 911 GT1, 911 Cup, 959 and 70’s 911 RS. These are the iconic models anyone with a passing interest in Porsche history would pick out.

As for Spa being in the bottom 30 ‘must haves’. I struggle to believe it would be outside the top 3 for any sample of the GT community. Original GT tracks are their own thing. Circuits that are important to the series and I’ve no doubt up there with Spa, Silverstone and Laguna in the ‘most wanted’ list.

I don’t pretend to speak for everyone. And I do accept there are car culture differences between Europe and Japan. But it does appear to me PD have a blind spot for content that would address much of the criticism the game receives.

Most damning of all. They need a more active Twitter account and representative to interact with communities like GTP. Every other Sony 1st Party studio manages this. It’s as if PD are still operating in the pre-internet era when we got all our news from monthly magazines.

you, you mean... like... Kie25's SPA Announcement - Video?! Hey that got him 14k views, instead of 3-4k
He was immediately backed up by a GTP mod.

No, we don't have that either. No one has ever promised once a month, it's just a assumption based on previous months experience (but even that includes one month without new content). It's not an illogical assumption, but it's stillless than any assurance.

Kaz said to an interview (GTPlanet report maybe) they tried to update monthly contents to reach 500 cars in game. After 500 cars in game, I don't know, but nowadays it's the rule.
