US Game on UK PS3 - How to download US DLC?

So I bought a US new copy of Heavy Rain (the PS Move version) which also includes free DLC. Presumably this will be US DLC but despite a few Google searches, I'm still unsure how I might download this. A lot of folks say use a US PSN account and US PS Store, but how can I do so if my console is associated with my regular UK credentials? If I buy a game via my PC at work I can then download it when I get home, but only because the PSN profile and console are associated. Is there some way of creating an additional "US" profile on my PS3? Apologies if I'm missing something obvious!

You can just make a US PSN account and you should be golden. Then you can enter whatever activation code you got into the PS Store and have access to it.

OK so I can then just log into PSN and the US PS Store with the new "US" account, from my console? And presumably create the account via my PC first?

You shouldn't have to. Been a while since I had an alternate account, but I recall simply needing to make a new profile on the PS3, signing up for PSN and setting your country to Japan (with an actual address, because Sony actually checks for that surprisingly) was all I needed to do then when I had the Japanese account. The only thing is that to actually buy anything I had to purchase PSN cards from Japan, because credit cards only worked in regions they were billed to. If you already managed to buy the game, that shouldn't be a problem.

Just create a US account on your PS3. Log into it and download the DLC. You can then play in either your own account or in the US account.

OK thanks guys, didn't realise it was pretty straightforward just creating a new US profile on the console itself
