US Gran Turismo 4 intro

Hate to say it but I like this one better. More shots and slightly longer scenes for cars saw in the Japanese intro. They could have picked a better song from the soundtrack but I dont hate it. 👍 👍

Aerosmith isnt that bad as a band. when steven tyler starts singing in the intro all goes downhill tho. this is Gran Turismo and it doesnt sound/look right. give me moon over the castle or liv tyler just dancing with no audio whatsoever :sly:
 
You know the stupidest part of it, is that the opera part is moon over the castle.

But unortunately I love that song and I love the rest of the intro and it seems edited slightly to fit the music. Although they did it better in all of the previous games.

Panama!!!!!! Panamaahoohohohohoo!!!

Look I bet the European intro fits worse and I like the song that they have chosen. Also at least Panama is a song about a racecar which makes it fitting.

And I knew it was going to be panama! It's all because of Solid Lifters! I know it!
 
I think that it is a genius marketing, It sets GT4 aprat from all the kid games. It appeals to the masses and it is someone who is really famous.

You know it would have been nice if they had edited the opera part out though, it's a bit of an odd transistion between that and Van Halen.

Yes, you take the Japanese version with slowdown, no garage battles, less cars, various glitches. Just because you don't like the intro. Uk version will be worse because it will have Kasabian 'Reason is treason' which is a good song but it fits less than Panama.

The PAL GT2 intro blew chunks as well.

Edit: But damn that opera doesn't fit at all. 👎

Yech, I say. But then again, I'll just watch it the first time on, and skip it afterwards, so it's no biggie.
 
The video is slightly different.. there's a handful of new shots, but.... dude, that intro sucks.

Seriously, do any of the Americans here prefer a rock-and-roll intro as opposed to "Moon Over the Castle"? Especially seeing as how the video was specifically edited for MOTC.. it just doesn't frikkin' work when you slap new music on there.

Just to point this out, but that's Van Halen with David Lee Roth on the intro, not Aerosmith. And for those of us who grew up in the 80's, it's a nice nostalgia kick.

Dunno, works for me.

Its not too bad! Van Halen gives it a nastalgic and real American feel! Decent choice of music IMO. It could have easily been a lot worse. :)

I'm telling you, they want to set GT4 apart by making it seem more or a "real racers" game Not like NFSU (don't burn me just for mentioning it please :lol:) which entered with TI and what ever that sad imitation of music was.

^^^^^^^ He has the right idea and the words that I wanted to say, it brings an American feel to a game.

Someone agrees with me!!!! It could be worse, they could put the midget on the test track for 3 mins getting up to speed.:lol:Anyway the fact the stingway shows up for almost two seconds means this will be the U.S. intro.
 
Am I the only one who thinks it should have opened with the GTP song "What to believe" ? I love that song and it really reminds me of the entire GT series. Just has a cool energy to it. The music in that "US Intro" really sucks, for lack of a better term.
 
Well, I think it fits the American version, but it would be surely out of place for the European version.

Still, nothing tops the original Japanese one, I guess...

(and it could have been some kind of japanese rock...at the worst)

That intro is horrible. I'm not referring to the choice of music, but the video does not flow with the song at all. It seems like they just added a song to a video of in-game clips...

The japanese intro flows very nicely. You can tell the scenes were picked out specificially to match the beat of the music. This american one is just....... blah :\
 
Hey, it could have been ALOT worse, they could have used a song by Van Halen from the mid 90's when Eddie wasn't in the band for a little bit. (shrugs)

That intro rocks, the Ford GT is hawt.

While I do agree they could have picked a better song... I do like it, its got my approval.

EDIT: I think it would have been better if they left the words out... God that guitar sounds great...
 
The song isn't that bad... until he starts singing that is. :yuck: That song will definitely be removed from the playlist for me.

My favorite (by far) intro song is my favorite game by The Cardigans in GT2.
